      If I wasn't barely keeping fuel in my car and food on the table for my kids, I would definitely choose to become a patron. I would budget so I could contribute to your beautiful family and y'all can continue sharing your experiences while living your/my dream. In two years when my son goes off to college I would give anything to sail with your family even for just an hour or so, maybe attempt to spear a fish for dinner. I love 💕 you guys

    I loved this video, I just can't help but mention something about organic food.
    I learned that just because it says it's organic doesn't mean there aren't pesticides and chemicals on them. It just means that those chemicals weren't put in the dirt before things were planted (and soaked up inside the plant). But it was sprayed on top instead.
    I may be wrong, but I heard this from a farmer here in the states.
    So always be sure to clean produce thoroughly with something that will cut through oily substances (because the chemicals are oil based to stick to the plants through rain storms).
    Anyway, I couldn't not tell yall that.
    Much love!

    • @juless9277
      @juless9277 2 роки тому +3

      That is not quite correct...
      The USDA organic certification allows for different herbicides and pesticides to be used, and there are oil- and water-based kinds. And depending on the type, they can be applied to the soil before planting, preemergence, to the crops after they're growing, or right before harvest, it just totally depends. There is likely still residue on produce by the time it reaches you though, whether it was from an oil- or water-based application, so I do agree that washing produce is important to remove any residues.

    Good food is important if you live on a sailboat or live on land. As I walk through the supper market I can not believe how many pre packaged foods are found. I guess I am an old fart and prefer to make my meals from scratch. In most cases meals from scratch do not take much more time than packaged foods but have much less sugar, salt and preservatives. When I prepare my meals from scratch I know exactly what I am eating. Love your videos, keep up the good work.

    I just love watching your more day to day life videos! Hi from the UK 👋🏻 I thought of u guys recently as I spent a week in Rhodes and went on some boat trips 🫶🏻 please share your actual menu that u had on that bit of paper or was it a shopping list? My bf and I have tins and dry store food that gets lost in the cupboard and we’re trying to get use them rather than them get wasted and the food in our freezer before it gets freezer burn. We’re trying to be resourceful since the cost of living is sky rocketing. Love to u all ✌🏻❤️

    That dressing sounds awesome. Sweet, salty, sour. I'm going to try it tonight. :)

    Every time you mention fish head soup in your videos, the song "Fish Heads" by Barnes & Barnes plays on repeat in my head for the rest of the day... so thanks for that.😬

    In restricted visibility a sailing vessel will sound at intervals on not more than 2 minutes, three blasts in succession, namely one prolonged followed by two short blasts.

    The best frying pans are by Solid Teknics, they are 100% Australian made wrought iron, like cast iron but lighter. Healthy and will last forever! 🍳

    Throw a small not fuzzy towel in the freezer and your freezer will not freeze up when full...you should really try garbanzo beans...plus you can make sweet treats with the bean juice from the can. Brownies, pancakes, sweet bread of any flavor. You have all the tools.
