I've been a Kate fan since I started watching this channel several years ago. I like her sensible and confident approach to everything she does. She's a huge asset to the channel.
No, she should enjoy these years for herself. She will have time for that later. Don't take these years away from her! Please don't pressure her into doing something she can't get back.
Renée, you can see that your little one is an old soul just by looking at her eyes and hearing her voice. She may be the younger on your boat but probably the wiser. What a great gift you give yourself to experience a life like this one. We have 3 boys and have lived on 4 continents. The boat life we have not experienced as a family and I am grateful to see how it could have been through your videos. I am sure your kids will all do great in life. Thank you Kate for sharing a little part of your life with us.
Well as a 56 yr old mom, I find it refreshing to see you (Kate), a beautiful young woman, not trying to be the center of attention and and flaunting yourself trying to get your face in front of the camera all the time ! In a world full of self centeredness, inflated egos, attention seeking and conceited behavior, Your modesty, confidence and self respect do not go unnoticed, I admire that about you ! You are so much like your momma, which is a beautiful trait to have ❤ Thanks for sharing! Blessings
it's about time Kate got the spotlight. So good. The world has been wanting to know if Kate was still going to go to culinary school and become a baker. :) Now we know.
Kate did very well on this. She is doing amazing as a young lady. What you and Keith have done with the kids is amazing. The most important part of education is to give children the basics and a love for learning and life and you have done that. Don’t let the haters get to you.
What a fantastic job Kate! No one would ever know it was your first one. I just love this channel and the way they promote family, common sense and to not be afraid to explore what’s out there in the world. The entire family is so talented and blessed. Thank you for sharing. Lots of love from Texas ❤️🇺🇸❤️
I've been a critic of home schooling in the past, because I didn't think that some parents were qualified to be teachers and that their kids wouldn't be able to compete once they graduated. But hearing Kate and Renee describe their home schooling, I've sort of changed my mind. I think that kids like Anna who want to go on to college probably learn better because they have to do additional courses on their own and their motivation is there. They aren't just learning to please a teacher. Otherwise, the things that Renee is teaching her kids are actual life skills that they can use. If they want literature or history or something else, they can learn it on their own, which is the best way to learn. So, I've changed my mind on home schooling. Congrats to Kate on her graduation!!
Kate, great job on the video. You will look back on your childhood with fond memories of your unique raising. I was in Africa at 14 and 15 yr old way back in the 70’s. Renee and Kieth great job. Great content, sound and editing. All while parenting.
Like people have already mentioned Kate is really good with the camera, a natural if you will. I have a feeling she will be the next UA-camr on the boat! She also has some sick drawing skills! Keep it up Kate! It was good to see her in front of the camera! Love the show guys !
Thanks Kate for the 'day in my life'! Nice to see you in front of the camera for a change, versus running out of the frame... But someone has to work the lines! Congrats on finishing school! 🤣 Funny thing, you never stop learning.... Art work is outstanding, keep at it! Great edit mom, thanks! Fair winds....
It was so nice of you guys to showcase Kate. She is a wonderful person, and you must be so proud of her and delighted to have her as your daughter. Love you, Kate. I love your whole family, but please more of Kate in the future videos.
Great job Kate! Don’t cut yourself short, you did a fantastic job in front of the camera, thanks for sharing! You are a talented artist and look forward to seeing more of your future artwork!
hey Kate. I've watched your family's adventures for quite a long time now and this is the first time where I actually feel as though i've met you. I like your spirit, your honesty, and how you present yourself as the protagonist. anyway young lady, it was nice to meet you, I'm looking forward to your bright future. cheers!
Yes that was good, but honestly those kids are going any where in a hurry. They have a good life and wouldn’t cope well splitting up just yet is my impression. Yet they need need more social interaction with more people of all ages.
Excellent work in front of the camera Kate . Great to see you in front of it and the main character for a change ha .Your such a well rounded sensible and mature young lady for your age . Mom and dad have done such a fantastic job in bringing up all there children . Look forward to seeing you more on camera now your an expert at it ha
Hey Kate, You can get into college without SAT's. A Transfer Agreement can be obtained at community colleges that have agreements with universities. You sign up for it with an enrollment counselor and then complete community college course work: 1) For an AA or AS degree or 2) Transferable lower division general education courses and some elective you like. This way you only have to pay 2 years of college fees.
Kate, I've been watching Zatara since you packed up in Texas, and drove to Ft. Lauderdale to be delayed in moving on to the monohull. It broke my heart to see you get hurt with a broken arm in Panama. You have been SO photogenic the entire time. Thank you for letting us watch you grow into the wonderful young lady you are today. This is one of the few channels I watch, and its the BEST in my opinion. Keith/René, I love the decision you've made to open your home to other like minded youngsters. Truly great role models, you are. Keep the cameras rolling!
Awesome video Kate! You are such an amazing young woman and I appreciate you sharing "A Day in the Life of Kate". Don't let your brothers take you away from the spotlight, you are an inspiration to other young woman especially your kite skills. Thanks again for sharing!
Gosh, y'all grow up so fast. Kate, you are definitely a Whitaker and a force to be reckoned with. Just "do you". I'm absopositively certain your life will be exceptionally rewarding. :)
I've watched you and your brothers grow up and I've come to the conclusion that all of you kids are going to be brilliant, capable adults. Your parents have done an amazing job raising you guys.
I have a 16-year-old daughter and I would love for her to be like you. I know she wants to go to college but I’d rather her experience a little more life first and perhaps go into the family business but she’s not interested in that. I don’t think you need to decide anything at 16 or perhaps even 18 and I love that you’re a tackling an alternative lifestyle. Go girl!
The Zatara Kids are all so level headed and sensible. They are also personable, kind and compassionate. As a Dad I know all these traits come from quality parenting. I also know that their good looks come from quality breeding. I know you are proud of all of them, but sometimes it's nice when other people realize how good your kids are and tell you.
I'd like to share how much I appreciate how real you are as a young lady. I live in the states and left to the Navy at 18. I find so few sharp young women like yourself. I love your family's show because it shows a well balanced real life. It's a joy to enjoy watching your lives. My husband and I would love to join you guys at some point. I'm not sure how that might look, but maybe we can figure it out. 😊
I agree, she did a great job. I've never felt like she was in a shell though, rather like she said, on the back side of the camera participating in whatever was happening, but not actively seeking extra attention.
It's about time!!! I always wondered why Kate seldom shared the spot light. I think she's somewhat shy, or just doesn't need it. Now this channel shines. THANKS KATE!!!
LOL! Awesome episode. I remember when Shrimpy was falling out of trees and getting run over by her father in the middle of the desert. Now she's headlining her own episode and about to graduate high school. Time flies ....out on the water!
Kate you’re Great! I’ve watched you along with you brothers since the first video. It has been an honor to watch you grow up into the beautiful young woman you are today. I wish you nothing but the best in what ever direction you decide to go. My only request is that you stay well and be safe.
nice vlog :) just wanted to add a small kite hint when jumping: on landing, point the board downwind (and not parallel to the wind), placing the backfoot below your weight. Landing your awesome jumps will be much easier.🤜
Kudos to René to telling it like it is, regarding home schooling. Not having the same high school credits and being able to go to university is a very important reality check. Maybe uni is not for everyone, and it is possible to do advanced marh and science on-line, but it is not something to be overlooked.
You did a great job Kate. Keep drawing girl bc you will get better & better as the years go by. My Mother was a great drawer. She would draw my kids birthday cards with Disney characters. My favorite would have to be the Fantasia one with all the fantastic colors she drew for my sons birthday. We loss Mom on August 19th, 2023. But I still have every birthday card she drew, so when I look @ them I just smile & my heart is filled with joy. So you keep drawing sweetheart. Have a wonderful day, be safe & God bless, Chris from Missouri
if i learned 1 thing from Zataraa family is how phemomenal Whitaker the dad and renne did at raising this mentally aware teenage thats emotionally developed to be so genuine and respectfull , she doesnt have close friends but she is our close friend, what a wise girl she became from falling off trees to having boat duties. incrediable video this week. WE LOVE U KATE
Kate, you have always been my favorite. The fact that you do not feel the need to be in the limelight and are just yourself is very satisfying to me.Not only are you the most genuine but you are now a very beautifull natural young lady.I wish you all the happiness that life can bring you........Just do not change and life will be great for you.
Kate, I want you to understand how much I admire the extraordinary, and beautiful person you are becoming. I mean this in the most respectful and supportive way possible. Your intelligence, strength, and willingness to take on challenges are truly inspiring. Your ability to not be afraid to enjoy your own company and be alone, while also being sociable and fun, is a rare and valuable trait. I look forward to seeing you thrive in the future and one day become the "first mate" and embrace all the knowledge and experiences your father has to share with you. I am a father myself, and I aspire to instill these same qualities in my daughter. Keep being the remarkable person you are.
Thank you Kate, it was wonderful getting to know you better. Thank you for your honesty sharing with us about what you liked and about friends. You were kind to do this. BTW, I think you "are a professional" in your own right.
After watching your family for several years and getting to know Keith, Renee,Jack and Finn it's nice to see you in front of the camera 📸 for a change.. Nice Surfshark drawing Kate...We loved the video of you and your much older brother jumping from the bridge and Renee's Zip Lining trip in the gorge..
Thanks Kate! That was really great and self reflecting is not an easy thing to do, well done. Rene and Kieth, as with the boys, Kate is one well grounded person I don’t think you will have anything to worry about.
Kate is the coolest one on Sailing Zatara! It's been fun watching her grow up on the boat! Renee, your kids' education on Sailing Zatara far exceeds any "normal" educational setting.... you shouldn't have to explain yourself. Just watching and listening to your children shows us they are wise beyond their years... you and Keith have given them the BEST education and life skill lessons.
Kate, all the years I’ve watched this and this is the first time I feel like I’ve learned something about you……and you knocked it out of the park, well done, such a natural presenter.
Awesome video guys!!! Great job Miss Kate. Don't sell yourself short you get to ride their coat tails and learn from their mistakes. Lol Congrats 🎉 on early graduation from Highschool. That's incredible for sure. See y'all next time!
I had my first sail on a sailboat in October 2022. I am infatuated with the sailing life and when I found the Sailing Zatara Channel I binged watched and I must say, What an amazing experience you all have and i am loving the videos of your family and the CRAZY (in my perspective) things you all do. Thank you for such interesting content!
Kate has seen more of the world than most people could ever imagine. That's the truth. She's circumnavigated the globe. I can see her wanting to explore space one day. To accomplish what she has completed at her age is a incredible achievement. Kate is a blessing to all of us. She's what is good in this world. She does dishes too.
Very humble Kate. You're awesome! Been with you guys almost from the very beginning, it's been amazing watching the family grow in to smart young entrepreneurs! So inspiring... wishing you all the very best!❤
Love the approach on your education for your kids.. My mom never pushed anything on me that I didn’t want and I can’t thank her enough.. It’s helped me grow and make the mistakes needed to stay moving forward.
I think Kate deserves this dynamic as well, we understand that she's really not used to the camera in front of her doing her routine, but it's too cute of her to still do this. I love you, Kate. And honestly I can relate to you more than Finn, and Jack.✌️😊
This was a good idea Kate -- and very generous of you, letting us get to know you a little better. The life of you kids onboard really inspires me. I often think about what it must be like for you perhaps because I have a daughter only a few years older. In Sydney us four kids (3 boys and one girl) raced little boats called MANLY JUNIORS on Sundays all over the massive Sydney Harbour. On Saturdays I would crew on my dad's 31 foot racer but I was too young to sail in the Sydney to Hobart when he did. Anyway you kids do way exciting stuff. My daughter also feels she is not ready for college just yet, or maybe ever. There are some valid reasons not to do it if you don't want to and the challenge can be to find something you DO want to do or learn. Best of luck to you and everyone else. Greetings from Auckland.
Really enjoyed a day in the life of Kate!! I personally hate being in front of cameras, so big respect to you making the effort and making it great watching!! 🤘
Great to see the family's best feature, featured on the channel! You're a good one, Kate. And having followed your art work channel for a while, you've clearly proved you've got skills!
I have my fourth baby due in December. It gives me such joy to see how much your kids love eachother! It gives me hope for them because they are little low and squabble all the time
My wife and I were so impressed with Kate (the whole family really) when we met her at the Miami Boat show in 2020. She was so outgoing, friendly, and a joy to be around. It has been great watching her grow into a remarkable young lady.
It's truly inspiring to watch people who exude such passion for sailing. Kate, you certainly have a remarkable knack for making the most of your day. 😊
Thank you, Kate. Great video. I know that your mom was kind of protective of your online presence earlier, and I don't blame her. You most certainly are growing into a fine young lady, and I'd say that you have more on the ball than 99.44% of the rest of the girls your age back in the States. I did enjoy watching this, and I liked your Surfshark shark. You need to pitch that to SurfShark as an idea for them, if you haven't already. 😃😁 Renee, I'd like to comment somewhat on your home schooling. Obviously, I don't know all the details, but you did make some comments about literature, and the apparent lack of it. I really would encourage reading of some of the older American classics, especially the ones that have been removed from most school libraries, i.e., Mark Twain's stuff, things like Orwell and Vonnegut, as well as others. Here in the States, things are getting weirder ever day, and we are most certainly moving towards a dystopian society, and the kids should have the opportunity to read and understand what was written in the past and how it seems to apply to what's going on today. What kind of history are you teaching? The old adage of those who forget (or do not know) history are bound to repeat it comes to mind. Your kid have proven to be 'above average' in the ''smarts' department, but then again, I look at what we have here in their age group, and it isn't hard to be 'above average' since that average has markedly declined. Anyway, great video all around, I truly enjoyed it. Safe journey on your trip to the Canaries and then across the Atlantic.
Kate your perfect in every way..your family adore you. Theres nothing more valuable in the world. You cant buy respect from those that truly care about your everything. ❤
Kate, I wanted to let you know, that I really enjoyed the truthful and entertaining content! I'm a gearhead/pilot (not into boats/deep water) and was looking up flight videos when your video somehow made its way on my playlist, while flying with a few buddies to the Florida keys for a fishing trip! We really enjoyed it and watched from start to end! This is unusual for us tbh because we usually shuffle through vids to stay awake on long flights, especially when we're the ones doing the flying! Thanks again and I hope all is well!
Kate, the good news is, you can’t fail an SAT test. You can get a real low percentile but you can’t fail it. Some school somewhere will always admit a low SAT and many these days don’t even require it. If you do consider college, consider several global online courses. Plenty of universities that have online degrees.
Way to go Kate, As a long time fan, it's incredible to see all the kids grow up. With 3 of my own, I can kind of see what the future holds for our little one's . I was a yachtee growing up, and still need to get our youngest out on Papa's "sailboat".
I've been a Kate fan since I started watching this channel several years ago. I like her sensible and confident approach to everything she does. She's a huge asset to the channel.
I totally agree 😊
She's boss
Keep ya pants on big falar crikey dick na jokes where the f are ya pants
Thanks Kate for getting in front of the camera! :) Really cute way to tie in the sponsor with your drawing.
Kate is filming a vlog like she's doing it for years! Good job! Liked to see more of Kate's life! Professonal drawing skills btw.
Good editing does a lot for a video
Kate should have her own channel...for sure she's gonna make it with thousands of subs
No, she should enjoy these years for herself. She will have time for that later. Don't take these years away from her! Please don't pressure her into doing something she can't get back.
@@Sammyturtleyou don’t
know her. And one comment about suggesting Kate should have her own channel won’t force her to do it.
Not until she finds it necessary.
Not everyone wants to be a UA-camr. Nor should they be.
@@Sammyturtle, Agreed wholeheartedly with this statement.
Loved seeing Kate's day! Felt like we got to know her better. The sweet shout out to her mom at the end, priceless.

Kate is such a sweetheart! I love that she loves her mama and isn’t afraid to say so!❤❤❤😊
Jack &:Finn have also said they LOVE their Momma too!!
Excellent! Kate, thanks for taking us along....you really have it together!

Stay awesome Kate. You’re every young man’s dream❤
Love that everybody gets some camera time/love in the vids❤❤
Awesome video guys!!! Great job Miss Kate. Don't sell yourself short you get to ride their coat tails and learn from their mistakes. Lol Congrats 🎉 on early graduation from Highschool. That's incredible for sure. See y'all next time!
Great video, great day in the life. A future career in illustration , graphic design, anything she wants. Kate is awesome.
Thanks Kate that was great. And thanks Rene cause you are the soul of Sailing Zatara and keeper of the pulse ticking. Cheers!.
Good job Kate! It's nice to see a little more of you.
Wow Kate. You did that better then a lot of bloggers I’ve watched that been doing it daily. You got skills for sure. Great video
Thank you Kate for sharing your day it was very enjoyable to watch.
I love Kate just like I love everybody in your family. You all are amazing people. I love your channel.
Kate is great. She's growing up starting to find her way. More Kate please. Love you all.
Nice to get to know you Kate! Thanks for stepping out! You did awesome.
Very humble Kate. You're awesome! Been with you guys almost from the very beginning, it's been amazing watching the family grow in to smart young entrepreneurs! So inspiring... wishing you all the very best!❤
You are doing a great job Kate and i think being you and true to yourself that's just great!
Please don't change follow your own path and just be you!
Love the approach on your education for your kids.. My mom never pushed anything on me that I didn’t want and I can’t thank her enough.. It’s helped me grow and make the mistakes needed to stay moving forward.
We need more of Kate! Great job filming Kate. 🎉
Great job filming and nice to get to know you a little better. Good luck with your art and we hope to see more of you.
The only thing I will tell you Kate is have fun in everything you do. Looks like you have a good outlook on things.( this is from a 80-year-old man)
Well done Kate. Never knew you are so artistic, but then it is in the family .
I think Kate deserves this dynamic as well, we understand that she's really not used to the camera in front of her doing her routine, but it's too cute of her to still do this. I love you, Kate. And honestly I can relate to you more than Finn, and Jack.✌️😊
Best episode ever. Way to go Kate!
I believe I've seen every Sailing Zatara episode (or nearly every one), and this has to be my favorite video. Good job, Kate!
You've always been my fav Kate,, nice to see your close with your brothers Finn anyhow. 🎉🎉
We need to see more Kate! Very confident for her age. You guys are doing something right by your kids.
I love how open and genuine you guys are on all your Channels! It’s been a lot of fun following the journey and the kids growing and shifting!
Yeah Kate!! So good to see you more and enjoy your day in the life!!Great job!
Great to see the family's best feature, featured on the channel! You're a good one, Kate. And having followed your art work channel for a while, you've clearly proved you've got skills!
I have my fourth baby due in December. It gives me such joy to see how much your kids love eachother! It gives me hope for them because they are little low and squabble all the time
I love that you tailor your homeschooling to useful life skills. I also love that you tailor it to the kid too, like for Anna! Way to go!
Renee, I'd like to comment somewhat on your home schooling.
Yay!! Watching Kate grow up has been so cool to see ❤❤
Kate, the good news is, you can’t fail an SAT test. You can get a real low percentile but you can’t fail it. Some school somewhere will always admit a low SAT and many these days don’t even require it. If you do consider college, consider several global online courses. Plenty of universities that have online degrees.
We love you Kate!!! Keep rockin it!
Good to see Kate's perspective. Nice change up
Way to go Kate, As a long time fan, it's incredible to see all the kids grow up. With 3 of my own, I can kind of see what the future holds for our little one's . I was a yachtee growing up, and still need to get our youngest out on Papa's "sailboat".
The “non UA-camr” but the most natural 😊 God bless you Kate. Your vibrancy makes my day❣️
