Ah, but SWAT-T isn't really in the same class as SOFT-T or CAT. Nevertheless, that's a possible option for EDC.

Gonna be honest pardner, it's a lot better than blue force gear's micro trauma kit now sitting at around 200 for the contents plus pouch.
Not mentioning that you can't just buy the bag and stuff whatever you want in it and hope it'll fit...

WAY to expensive for what you get. It's 12.00 worth of med gear and 15.00 for the pouch.

free field training if I bought the whole thing I'd probably end up just swapping out most of it for different brands of stuff anyway
+Blayne Peterson well, for camping the needle wouldn't be much help but I was looking at it for hiking with the scouts too. The Swat TK and quick clot would work really well for a bad injury (like a fall or kid screwing around with a knife injury) on the trail with kids and would fit right on my belt.

Would a bic pen suffice as a substitution? I have seen tension pneumothorax decompression pens from North American Rescue that's only ten bucks! Does cavity drains, have a catheter one-way-valve and all that good stuff. I swear man. Slap anything first responder on it and just watch the markup price soar.
+Daniel KB6AOK I was more interested in the pouch itself and the idea. They sell them at several different scales of cost depending on what you want to put in it, including the pouch and cross patch alone.
That makes sense. If anything I would pick up the pouch and add everything else to it myself. About 25-30 bucks for an AMK QuickColt z fold arterial tampon, 15 for a two pack chest seal, throw in that sexy looking S.T.A.T. TQ for 20 bucks, leave out the (8-10 dollar) decompression needle because I like having a job, maybe toss in some band-aids and ill be good to go. I'll Negate that "assembly" fee they must have while in the process of putting in all the brands that I trust myself. 15+65= what? and that's a savings of what? I can buy cheap booze at the liqour store with all of that what I saved?
