Man THANKS SO MUCH!!! Your chanel and info has been really handy for me, this helps so much im 16 years old and i am a voluntier EMS here at mexico, im doing this since i was 14 and your chanel helps me sooooo much, i have put in practice this info with real pacients and thanks to that i have saved lots of lives, im a big fan of your, big hug from Sanluis rio colorado sonora, our agrupaccion her wach your videos, Rescate de sonora internacional a.c, HOPE YOU READ THIS AND SEE HOW HELPFULL YOU ARE!!!
Bummer that they discontinued the Gunfighter IFAK, I like that larger size with the ability to add a couple more supplies to the kit. Worked well for a car kit....
You've got to be kidding me! I just bought the Odin tactical burrito ifak and it is still bulky to wear on my Ronin tactical belt on patrol. And it doesn't mount to Molle, now I've got an upgrade. This looks like a better alternative because it's tear away and it mounts to Molle
New to your awesome channel and in process of firearm training courses with ITTS in SoCal. I've researched a ton for an IFAK on my belt and I'm probably going to get this one (with TQ) due to availability. Currently there is a shortage of others (including the Dark Angel Medical Ankle). Is there anything else you would recommend for this kit or to replace (sheers)? I'm thinking a Mylar blanket. Cheers!
Just one thing I want to say about medical kits in general. I have a hard time with the amount of kits on the market, %95 of them are all the same. Tourniquet, compression bandage, chest seals, compressed gauze, combat gauze, etc. in the cheapest wholesale molle pouch they can find. I find these kits repetitive and generic, and while some companies are making great, unique products (LTC, triad, BFG and a few others) most are doing the exact same thing, almost just as a cash grab. These kits sometimes run $150 when I can buy the supplies myself and do it for under $100. I love LTC and their kits, and like I said some are doing unique innovative things. But most are so bland and generic and overpriced and I see if as useless and a cash grab. Opinions?
After reading this I'm a decide to buy the supplies myself, specifically for the belt. Imma get this or the Blue force pouch, and then maybe a minimalist one for my Range bag.
Hey Sam, I recently got into a rescue position in a mostly industrial setting I have my EMR (in Canada) when we are working Rescue we have a med beg and fully outfitted truck. But occasionally I am in a position where I am working a different type of job where I am mostly over seeing work and our rescue team is located else where I was wondering what you would suggest as a IFAK of sorts to carry to use first aide. A lot of what I would be dealing with is cuts, burns (chemical and electrical) and depending on the machinery being used (someone’s limb being crushed or amputated) I’ve looked around online but haven’t found something that really stuck out and my work only provides me with a cpr barrier mask and a triangle bandage when working in this position.
I see that style of TQ mount frequently, but haven’t tried it out. It looks like the TQ is only going to freely slide out in one direction (despite being open at both ends). Have you found that to be true?
I'm honestly considering carrying this on my shorts and shirt during the summer. I live in the city of Austin and it wouldn't raise as many flags as you might think because people here are weird.
Varsutelka IFAK insert for mag pouches are much better. However works better more for minimalist. New to your channel and it's really helpful in depth information
Can I ask a training related question? My area has three options for training.. A community college which has a EMT, EMT-A, then Paramedic line. A university that has a two year paramedic medicine program, and a private ambulance service also had a EMT program. Would the Medics out there recommend one over another? Or does it not matter? The private ambulance service is the most selective, only 18 accepted per class, but I'm not sure if it's better or not shooting for it..thanks for input!
Any advice on how to get the TQ into the tiny ass holder that it comes with? I’m assuming it goes outside the black inner band but I feel like I’m gonna break the thing if I force it in
I have a question. If you have to wound pack a gunshot wound would you try to remove the bullet if it was lodged in and then pack the wound or would you keep the object in and pack it anyway. I know it’s never a good idea to remove an object in the pre hospital setting but keeping it in seems that it would move around and be incredibly uncomfortable and painful and may even make it worse
Don’t remove it dude. The bullet could be in an organ or something. The last thing you want to do is be digging around inside their body. It will be uncomfortable for them either way. We keep things in their bodies we don’t take things out. Don’t do anything to make things worse because that is on you. C-Y-A dude.
Hey, you're doing great videos! I believe you once told in a video that you should always add an ARS-Needle to your set if you're carrying a chest seal. Would you add the needle to this prefabricated set? Greetings from Germany!
Love the content but….. Can someone please explain to me how we are suppose to see anything when you post a video of a product in black, with a black counter under it, a black T-shirt behind it and no lighting??? With that being said, I love your reviews and watch your channel all the time but help a brother out please….
I have to build my own first aid kid (ifak) since I have often forgotten my main medical kit in the car. I have used a chocolate eggshell and it has gone pretty well. The experience makes me too confident for short walks to the point it can hurt :( I noticed I tend to intentionally forget my main medical kit in the car to save weight because "I can always jump back for it if needed". By "short walks" I mean mountain trips for 1-2 kilometers away from the car. I have used to consider this a small distance but suddenly realized that depending on the injury it could turn to a "far distance". Then I have started thinking of a solution. I have researched all mini medical kits. But then a problem occurs! As a difference to my mine medical kid where I have pills especially selected to my problems and often injuries all the kits that are sold out are with too basic equipment (bands, cotton, etc). I realized I already have these basics and could build my own kit. But in that kit, I'll add all the pills and tools I need. First I needed to find a stable and small enough box for it. Luckily my kids love chocolate eggs and I had a few plastic eggshells around. Get my main medical kit and start working. And tadaa! I believe I have prepared one of the smallest and full IFAK kits ever. (update: I have recently cut myself in the forest and this eggshell save me from bleeding) Here is what I've got in my pocket-size IFAK: Stomach help Active carbon Water purifying tablets Anty allergenic 2 x Safety Pins Hand sanitizer Straw Toothpaste Straw 3 x Bands Compressed Cotton Micro knife Do you have a mini IFAK with you? What can I add or remove from mine in your opinion?
Nice compact kit.. however, is hard to get those kit, back in my country.. Anyway, im kinda not trust enough to rely on those miniature cheap trauma sheer, maybe, if i could get the opportunity to have one of those kit, i will thrown away those sheer..and replace it with my trusty raptor sheer..
Так-то видно, что такая конструкция имеет один минус. Под пандажи надо ложить препараты, которые подходят по размеру. То есть придется покупать у одного и того же производителя.
Here is a story that just happened that shows the value of having more than one tourniquet and the value of a holster! regionnewssource.org/trooper-saves-woman-after-accidentally-shooting-self/
Great videos, but black on black on black is really tough to see on phones
Was thinking the same thing, still a great review though
Hey Sam, love the content! It’s been amazing to watch this channel grow from 600 subscribers all the way to 125k! Keep up the great work!
Love the channel Sam!! Been following for a while now I finally turned 16 and in my state I can become a certified first responder.

Finally! I’m a medic in St. Louis and a videographer as well! Keep up the solid content man, looks good!
Just saw an ad for this thing yesterday and saw your video today. Gotta be some kind of sign...
Love Your Channel, I’m A Chicago Fire Department Ambulance Paramedic
So
much love from va brother. keep up the VERY great quality videos
Black on black on black on black. Sexy, but not visually clear. Good info and product overview otherwise.
They should put a marker in the middle of the tourniquet so you can write the time of application
Nice set up but the only thing I don’t like is it’s a 2 step process to deploy and the reason iv decided to go with blue force gear pouch.
Bummer that they discontinued the Gunfighter IFAK, I like that larger size with the ability to add a couple more supplies to the kit. Worked well for a car kit....

Just got it. Can’t fit anything more. Thanks for the vid.
From Russia with love✊
Solid work, Sam! Good looking kit!
Love your videos!!
How does this compare to the trauma kit now from blue force gear? Namely how much thicker is it with similar contents?
Is there going to be a review of the get home
alive by ltc?
Thank you for your videos Sam, they are so helpful!
Would you recommend this or the BFG micro trauma kit now?
Great vid
Very informative as always

You're basically paying $75 bucks for the pouch. Fill it with your own stuff.
After reading this I'm a decide to buy the supplies myself, specifically for the belt. Imma get this or the Blue force pouch, and then maybe a minimalist one for my Range bag.

I recommend getting a empty bag or kit and stocking your own kit, nothing will be as from fitted as the thing you make yourself!
How does the tourniquet holder attach to the outer sleeve? Is it clips or Velcro?
thanks for the info really helpful
What shelving system do you have in the background?
I didn’t realize you were in Iowa, maybe we will run into eachother at Mayo on the off chance! I’m in southern metro MN.
Hiii - Could you link the homesite for the Responder
Ifak without TQ? 😊
How do you like this compared to the micro trauma now pouch?
I see that style of TQ mount frequently, but haven’t tried it out. It looks like the TQ is only going to freely slide out in one direction (despite being open at both ends). Have you found that to be true?
I'm honestly considering carrying this on my shorts and shirt during the summer. I live in the city of Austin and it wouldn't raise as many flags as you might think because people here are weird.
Isn’t that the slogan? “Keep Austin weird”
@PrepMedic yup. I think we could use less of that but if I can wear an ifak in shorts and boat shoes so be it.
Do you prefer the Blue Force Alpha, Micro IFAK or the Live The Creed, Responder IFAK?
Varsutelka IFAK insert for mag pouches are much better. However works better more for minimalist.
New to your channel and it's really helpful in depth information
What shirt is that? I'm a cardiovascular specialist and would like to get one myself.
Seth it’s a safe life defense shirt. they make body armor.
What are the the dimensions fully loaded? The dimensions on the website don't specify loaded or empty

All have to be trained to the same National Registry standard. How the class teaches is what makes them different.

Medic, where are you standing in the SWAT team?
Hey Sam. Can this IFAK be pulled easily in either direction from your backside?
Sam as a Swat medic, are you allowed to go out on patrol?
Is this better then the blue force mini?
Hey, you're doing great videos! I believe you once told in a video that you should always add an ARS-Needle to your set if you're carrying a chest seal. Would you add the needle to this prefabricated set?

Frederik Berghoff Hallo,
ich dachte schon ich wäre der einzige Deutsche der Seine Videos anschaut😅
@@mauriceredecker5134 hallo, dachte ich auch, so einen guten Inhalt findet man sonst nicht auf deutschen Channels😂
I love it ill take 6.

Where are you from in Iowa I live in Iowa to and I love watching you
Dang I do not like the black on black on black video - watching on an iPad Pro and it’s tough to see what you are showing.

Here is what I've got in my pocket-size IFAK:
Stomach help
Active carbon
Water purifying tablets
Anty allergenic
2 x Safety Pins
Hand sanitizer Straw
Toothpaste Straw
3 x Bands
Compressed Cotton
Micro knife

Personally I like their Gunfighter IFAK better
What is the biggest trauma shear that would fit in this?
Black items on black desktop in front of black t-shirt in front of dark background.
I couldn’t see a thing.
Here is a story that just happened that shows the value of having more than one tourniquet and the value of a holster!

Too bad it’s so expensive
$144? No thanks.
Lol judging by the three comments I am going out on a limb and saying you are not in the mood for spending money.
PrepMedic nope lol
Black table, black background, black shirt, black product…no bueno. Love your videos but maybe do better when you have a black product.
…. TY mr beast!!!!
Black against black against black. Great, I cant see anything
Too dark. Couldn’t get through 30 seconds. Lighting is your friend.
Ya dude its nice in all but not worth 175 dollars for it no thanks ill build my own for half that
