    I never had a "career" I had jobs, boring, minimum wage jobs. My boss's looked down on me as if I were trash. It took decades to find and run a successful small business that got me off that miserable treadmill. I work hard to service my clients and grow my business because I never want to go back to that bitter experience again!

      Most of these are not skills, but characteristics of a person or just good practices. For instance, "Commision work = accelerated skill growth" or "monday morning targets"...
      A skill is something that requires consistent practice to increase competencies like communication-skills, coding-skills, negotiating skills etc... And the key to value is how you setup your own practice environment for the skills you have chosen. This video merely identifies a few good practices and thats it. There is no information on how to consistently improve on the things that are mentioned.
      The video is inspiring though and that is super fine, but I would hope that most 10,000 dollars seminars offers something better, otherwise I suggest you come to Denmark for your 10,000 dollar seminars.

      Operate from the CDRILS spectrum.
      C - courage to answer up when something is wrong.
      D - disciple to push forward with the task at hand until the objective is completed.
      R - respect for others, and treat them the way you’d want to be treated, remember not everybody responds to the same result.
      I - integrity, lying makes you distrustful, there’s an old saying, can trust a thief, but you can’t trust a liar.
      L - loyalty, to not only the business or operation, but the individuals to your left and right.
      S - selfless commitment to the cause, can’t stop, won’t stop, don’t stop.

    About the 4-Bullet Update: I'd like to offer an additional bullet point to make when using this tool: Lessons learned. What worked (or didn't work)? How will the information attained be used to better the organization, refine the goals or strategic vision, or impact the people most closely affected by it? What are the next questions that should be asked or answered? This isn't so much about reporting as it is application; from my experience, bosses want to know what boxes you checked, but how those boxes chart the path moving forward. Another great video, nonetheless. #MIND

      Appreciate the input.
      The what worked/what didn’t we found best used on a project base, not weekly.
      If you give the people an empty field to fill: they’ll just make things up or look for things to use as scape goats

      @@alux this 5th bullet point is a great addition as I currently use this 4 bullet point outline in my positional duties. What I’ve found is that this addition adds to opening the conversation for increased investigation and elongates the presentation time within an executive group where a summary is much more required.
      I would definitely support it as an area of project management but would also offer it as a much more valuable addition to one’s personal reflection. It’s a wonderful way to root cause what led to both preferable and less desirable outcomes and can define which measures contributed most to the “20%”, or most impactful areas, of the progress made.
      Incredible ideas from both and thank you for offering them.

    MIND: Love the second strategy, grow with a small startup company as fast as possible, learn all the experience, gain all the networks, and then reap all the career milestones. That moment, you are more valuable than big shots in slow big corporations based on the skillset and exposure you have. But the key in startup is : FAST

    As for the best career tactics, as copywriter and strategist, I'd say it's about having morning routine that let's you focus on yourself before arriving at the office. If you don’t MIND answering a burning question of mine. What are 5 common traits you’ve seen in the mentorship provided by Alux?

    • @alux
      @alux  8 місяців тому +5

      1. Everyone tells you to do something, but you don’t know where to start. So Alux helps by providing those actionable steps.
      2. Most people lack the ability to think on a larger scale than their local culture allows them to. Aluxers don’t believe the limiting stories others have in set for them.
      3. Those who make it, knew beforehand that they will make it and it was just a matter of time, effort and sacrifice, they took the process seriously & Alux just got them there faster.
      4. None of them feel like they’re done yet.
      First it’s personal money, then it’s family & inner circle, then it’s impact.
      5. They all behave with a sense of urgency. They’d rather double the work now and get there sooner.
      What we found from our app users is how much their earnings are tied to other parts of their lives, like health, emotions and relationships.
      If these 5 sound like you, join 100k+ people who use our app to cut the time to their goals in half: www.alux.com/app

    Great video! I've noticed that, during my part-time work, my eagerness wouldn't be rewarded. In a way, my eagerness was frowned upon. Is there a way around this, or is it a matter of the company culture?
    P.S. I will remember these points when I finish my studies ☆

    • @alux
      @alux  8 місяців тому +1

      In the early days you want to prove yourself which is why you're so eager to do more.
      At this stage the only thing the company looks for is: are you able to deliver consistently?
      They don't trust you yet, so you need to show predictability and performance. Once that's established 6-12 months, you will be given the opportunity to do more.
