Having been concerned about finances throughout my entire adulthood, it's captivating to observe this video and realize that I can confidently identify with level 6. Experiencing the freedom of not being preoccupied with the financial concerns that consumed me for numerous years is truly liberating. I suppose this is the result of putting in diligent effort for the future.

Certainly not. I've been meticulously monitoring the performance of my portfolio and have observed a remarkable increase of $522,000 in the past two quarters alone. This journey has enlightened me on the strategies employed by seasoned traders to achieve significant profits even in seemingly volatile markets. Without a doubt, the decision I made relatively recently has proven to be both daring and gratifying.

Raul Grasso Yeah, me too actually😂. It’s always difficult because no matter how hard you try to be in control of your environment, there are always these tedious limitations as to what you can do due to your age. For example, I wake up at five o’clock so that I can make the most of my day, but I’m not allowed to leave my room or make any noise as not to wake my mother up before seven am. Although I can still use that time to work on writing, I still find it greatly frustrating.

I went through this video everyday for 10 days in October & I started my 50 day challenge November 1st. Today(12/20/18) is day 50!!! My challenge was to get back in the gym after many failed sporadic attempts. I started walking for 30 minutes & built up to 45 minutes some days. I've also incorporated some strength training. I've lost 18 lbs....during the holidays!!!! The hard days...getting up at 3:30 am before work were the 1st four & then the weekends when I hit the gym in the afternoon or evening. Day 39, it snowed (it didn't phase me)....on a Sunday, but I was at the gym before church! Looking forward to my next 50 day challenge. I'm going to train for a 5k walk/run.

I have watch this video around 12 times, with many months of work in between and always with some paper taking notes. Here is my advice so you don't waste time (as I did).
The amount of information and value in this video, is something incredible.
Don't try to be smart, don't try to think what is useful and what is not. You may not have the capacity to differentiate it (as I know I didn't).
Just do everything, to the letter, point by point. Only after some months of grinding you may have the experience to understand the deep implications. Probably not, as it condense some years of experience, but we will see.

My role in my life is to be an author.
The ingredients of the goal are:
    1.Write the book/manuscript
    2. Submit it to a self publishing platform like Amazon
    3. Go to Grammerly and self edit the text of your book
    4. Hire a editor or multi editors to professional edit and even formate your book text
    5. Design a book cover or hire a book cover artist
    6. Decide your book size
    7. Make the book a hardcover as it is more profitable and makes you look more authentic
    8. choose a price for the book
    9. wait for the book to finally get printed out
    10. order copies for yourself
I try to complete a chapter of my book a day or in 3 days.
I do get distracted by other stimulating things.
I should make my book my main priority in life as well as the books I plan to write in the future.
I try to write my book all the time.
I do force myself to write.
I never once had a role model. Sure I have people I like but nine I look up to for inspiration or anything. I have no hero.
I do take breaks from writing my book of course. And I feel happy and accomplished when I finish a chapter.
    I try not to procrastinate.
I keep track of my progress.
I think my monthly goal is to get my book manuscript done.
I will analyze my efforts. I pushed myself to write my book and remember the quality.
    I will have good habits.
I often try to keep pushing myself to write my book.
    I wil self discipline.

Great vid as always. Not a fan of the typical usage of “discipline.” Self control is what I had to learn to make my first million. Control is more crucial than discipline.
I used to believe “discipline” was the best trait towards success. But I realized discipline isn’t the best term. It’s reserved for soldiers and positions that require order and obedience. The more fitting term is *self control*. Being obedient is rarely the issue. Self control and indulgence is the real challenge.

    • @KaiAndrew
      @KaiAndrew 6 років тому +20

Hey, Marcellus! We grow up with discipline in the sense that we were reprimanded when we disobeyed our parents or teacher. Discipline coincides with punitive actions, typically from others. Control is something within your own power. It illicit action, or even lack thereof, by your own choosing.
Most people in our society are fine with discipline and follow the law. However most people lack control - diet, exercise, financials, career, education, etc.
It maybe semantics, but it's one I've found helpful to understand.

    • @KK-fq6sm
      @KK-fq6sm 6 років тому +11

      Hello 24k,
One thing to consider is that discipline not only coincides with punishments but always rewards. Successful discipline requires rewards as well, not only punishments.
That being stated, self-discipline is a necessary part of self-control. Without self-discipline, one cannot fully be in control of one's self.
Most of us have some level of self-discipline in that we obey the law, read, eat in a reasonable manner etc. . .However, some people were never disciplined enough to develop a sense of self discipline and therefore are
completely lacking in the area of self-control.
Furthermore, so many people feel that discipline stops after one move's out of their parents home. This is the problem. One should learn to discipline themselves after they are alone. Instead, they only do the behaviors that they like while avoiding the ones that they do not like.
This is one of the reasons why people lack self-control when it comes to diet, financials, and exercise etc. . .They do not further develop the executive function of self-discipline after they leave their parents home (or perhaps their parents did not teach the child to develop this EF). Therefore, the child becomes an adult that has very little self control.

      Thanks for the compliment, 24K!
Since you seem to be a successful person, would you mind answering a question for me? What are your tips for self-control/self-discipline?
I was somewhat disappointed by the title of the video because the video was actually mostly about goal-setting. It was a great video, but I am trying to find out how to master self-discipline and self-control.
The 7th step (force yourself to complete tasks) of this video is the only one that I saw that relates to self-discipline.
Is there any way to master being able to "force yourself" to do things? The only way that I have done so, at the moment is by actually disciplining myself through rewards and punishments.
Or is the only way to master self-control to constantly achieve your goals through discipline? What are some of the most effective ways that you have disciplined yourself?

Thank you and I will make it up to you one day. Edit: the biggest difference for me this final time, is that I’m not gonna go crazy, run myself into the ground, quit and hate myself. I’m going to follow this process at a normal human pace, trust it, never quit, and thus, never hate myself ever again.

Subconsciously, many of us already know this stuff but we don't apply it to what we want to accomplish in life and then, wonder why we keep failing. Excellent information!
