Great review, Peak makes some great stuff, but totally agree, their strap game is lagging behind most others. This peak definitely wins the award for the loudest duffel ever made. Love my EG TD35!
I can’t believe PD hasn’t fixed those magnets and straps yet. I bought that bag about three years ago and, despite its beauty, found it to be awkward and uncomfortable to carry by hand. The magnets don’t work at all, either in the handles or in the bag’s sides, and the straps for backpack carry are too uncomfortable for that the be the primary carry style. Worse, this has been a customer complaint for years now. How have they not redesigned this yet, and why not take the Huckberry collabortunity to fix those issues? The EG TD35 was a no-brainer for me, and I’m loving it.
The magnets are a good idea for sure. I agree they should be stronger in the handles. Not sure why they haven’t been able to fix those things. Glad you found the TD35!!
Another great video, JB. Last week I had a chance to fly from Dallas to Vegas and carried on the TD35. It fit perfect under the seat in front of me on an American Airlines flight. I carried my iPad in the laptop pocket and fit was great and easy access when it was time to watch a movie. The Td35 had ton of interior space, so much my wife threw her shoe bag in it. Admin pocket was well layed out. Should strap got to be a bit uncomfortable after a while with the bag loaded out. Thanks
Peak design x pac 35l vs goruck heritage duffel for travel/camping- which one is the go to? I have a 26l heritage GR1 so it’s tempting to match that but I love the coyote xpac on my small wash pouch. Decisions decisions
@@JBOutside1 I hear you- I do like how the peak design products are laid out and the xpac is rugged and all but so is the GR bag. They’re both tempting.
For being a comparison in the title it didn’t feel like you spent ANY time on the Evergoods. 14 minutes of a 19 min video going through every feature of the Peak Design

I HEAR you 😁
@@JBOutside1 🤣 I see what you did there.

That's because it's not meant to be the primary carry style. It's just there if you need it in a crunch.
Thanks for the outtakes, sir. Still waiting for the Goruck XPAC torture test, though.
Sometimes I wish there were less. Test coming soon…I promise
We need the TD35 in Xpac
That would be cool!
Always a solid channel to watch for reviews.
Thanks!!

That’s some great feedback!! I agree that strap is a bit uncomfortable over the long haul. The PD is a little better here.
Does the TD35 not fit in overhead compartments? Just curious, I saw the carryology drop coming this week and that canvas has me interested.
It fits

Personally I choose the kit bag...but I'm terribly biased. I do like the duffle but I gravitate to the kit bag.

So you prefer the PD?
I think it depends on what I'm packing
If you can only keep 1 duffel forever, which one would it be?
Probably the Kit Bag 2.0 because it’s so versatile
@@JBOutside1 thanks for the suggestion.

Fair enough. I had recently done a thorough review of the Evergoods and that probably impacted the flow. Thanks for the feedback.
