Appreciate the measurements. I think a port matched 55mm is the way to go on a M8 stage 2. The 64mm SE manifold/TB actually has smaller cylinder port ID measurements than the 55mm due to the shark fins and thicker walls lol.
Have you done a dyno to compare the cam and stock manifold to cam with cast manifold? How is the seat of the pants? Did the HD cam in my 18 heritage amd Reaper 465 in my 17 SGS, and debating on swapping manifold at 10k on each bike. The whole plastic just annoys me and to get a cast piece just says longevity IMO.
@@ontwowheels6479 thanks. I had the SGS tuned with the PV and wow, she runs awesome. The heritage is all done with SE Tuner and the autotune module, still think there is some power left on the table.
Great job and video, for those looking to do this,,, one tip on best practice, mount the A/C backing plate before you tighten the intake bolts. The backing plate is part of the intake support and helps with proper alignment. Cheers.
Hey OTW, I believe after watching several videos you are the only one that I have seen that replaced the Manifold to head gaskets,, I myself can't understand why more people don't , that is a known area for leaks,,,good video. I didn't catch if you did or not but these things need to be cleaned before install , a lot of material left on the insides.
I did clean and smooth this one out. I didn’t do a port and polish or anything like that but I did clean up the casting mess. The s&s one was even worse casting junk.
Will be doing my manifold too, using the S&S version ,port polished myself and heat painted it gloss back, doing it because a$20,000 dollar bike shouldnt have plastic for high heat. I have a 2019 Road King Special. Thanks for the flick.
Well done! Just received my 55mm screaming eagle manifold. I went stage 2 with tourqe cam and wide band sensors previously. Expecting to be pleased. Thanks again!
Guys have seen 2-5 hp depending on the combination. I'm doing on my 107 RK with SE 462 but am also taking out the cat @ the same time. I'll do some logging for the SE smart tune & re dyno it.
Yes but I already had the screamin eagle tuner. I probably could have gotten away with not tuning for a while. It’s a minimal change but I do believe it has more power than it did based on feel.
Good stuff. Yes, a throttle body, and manifold is an important addition to the “Modified Stage II”. Along with the cam plate/pump/tappets/tappet cuffs/push rods/Timken bearing/Power Vision/ and of course a killer cam. I’m running a Woods 22XE on my 2020 Fat Boy and came to your video because I decided I should have added a manifold. I’m going follow my initial instincts this time and dump a Thunder Max on my Road Glide 107 to S&S 129 build. Please don’t edit out to much because each teaches what to do as well as what not to do. Great video! ET1(SS/SW/MTS) US Navy, Ret.
when that plastic dry rots and cracks or warps it will be worth it.

get a kerosene hand pump and a 5gal gas can. empty it.

No dyno yet. I’d like to do a dyno with a new tuner. It definitely feels like it has more power.

@@jasonbreedlove495 I agree. The SE tuner is not horrible but it’s an EPA tuner made to be 50 state emissions legal.

Do you change your Cam after that ?
Nice job, now I want one.
Why would you need to take the dash off the tank?
Yes, no need to do that, just extra work
God just put it on the damn bike....all this yadda yadda yadda
😂 deep breath and relax. It’s gonna be ok. We all get anxiety at times.

Bc usually the original flange gasket are still usable.

what kind of tuner did you use for the cam and intake install???
I used the screamin eagle tuner. If you’re under warranty it’s the one man. And it’s not a horrible tuner.
Thanks, great vid.
How many Shop hours did it take to change that out and put the new new one in?? And thanks for a great video👍🏆
S/S. Spent a couple hours smoothing out the cast mark Smith as a bad Ass , that air flow got to hit just right
Could you tell me the torque value on the 3 throttle body screws? Thanks

Great video man. I just got the s&s intake. I just put a 485 cam in it.
Nice review good instructions too
Thanks 🙏
I have a 2021 Street Glide Stage 2, are there any benefits here or it is to just replace the ABS unit?
It is 1mm larger than the abs unit. I think it gave me some more power but it is minimal

@@jimf1450 yeah I replaced my head pipes also so no Cat, just received the new Manifold but I have not installed yet.
Did u have to retune after install
