I love watch your content, your cooking, your hiking through beautiful scenery, your fishing, your animals, your vehicles and all you do is wonderful and so very pleasant and relaxing to witness. You truly are blessed to be out there in the wilderness and we are blessed to witness your travels. Thanks for taking us all on your journeys with you, keep up the magnificent work you always do.
Thank you for the kind words Walter, wow that was awesome to read! Your kind and support words are truly appreciated!! Take care and we'll be back out as soon as we can be. 😁😁 lots of snow in Utah still.
Firmly stuck in the rat race, chained to a desk most of the day, weekends spent catching up...To me your life seems like a never-ending dream vacation. Goats, beautiful dogs, a lovely family, trout fishing, and amazing food expertly prepared provide inspiration to us corporate shills and wage slaves yearning to get outdoors but never finding the time. Lamb Tikka was on the menu, but I like nothing more than to see your catch and cook trout deboning skills on display with your one-pan meals. I retire in just a few years, and I hope to enjoy life with my own goats, dogs, and camping gear. Thanks for taking us along.
Thank you Pat I'm sure you realize that my life isn't quite as dreamy as people may imagine I'm actually pretty darn busy keeping up with deadlines and the pressures of life and appreciate a break from the rat race as much as anyone. That having been said, I do feel very grateful and appreciative for the life and loved ones I have. I wish you all the best in your retirement plans! Sounds perfect to me 👍😎
UA-cam! Have given me such Beautiful places to discover!!! These 7yrs it will be 8yrs next month!I have had to remain in this High Desert till someone will repair my 1979 Cobra R.V. I have been told by several mechanics how easy the job it is to repair...only 2 part's under $100.00 to replace by the distributor! But no one will let me pay them to fix it!!! But I have your Beautiful country's to Information, in the mean time! I really appreciate every time I see another video has come out!!! Thank's Steve and family!!! Of coarse, Being an animal lover! I really enjoy Billy, Levi, Ash & Jenny!!! 🤗🤗🤗
It makes me happy to see you and your wife spending some quality time together. Life is crazy when you have a few kids and a your own business (ask me how I know). Getaways like these are often some of my favorite memories. All the best to both of you!
Teddy Roosevelt advised living a strenuous life. Your channel is true to his advocacy. I like to enjoy all there is to see while bird hunting . Lighting at the end of a day(2-4 o'clock pm) makes for dynamic vistas. Being in the field with a dog(s) is the win. Thanks for another great video, FBS.
Awesomeness! Your daughter is so cool! I've always loved learning, and she seems to be the same way. I also loved sharing what I learned. I got it from my big brother ❤
Love this video so much. Your channel got me through pandemic (and still does) in how serene and beautiful each adventure seems to encapsulate. A big cheers to you, your family and your wonderful dogs. Thank you for making these videos and making our lives a little bit more serene.
"Serene" is an excellent word choice for describing Steve's outings and the essence of them that his videos convey! The word encapsulates comfortable, relaxed and contemplative; all are terms I have used in describing what I sense when watching. I will now adopt "serene" and add it to my lexicon--it should have already been lodged firmly therein as I once lived nearby to a "Lake Serene." Thanks for the reminder.
Not gonna lie, I'm completely psyched to see you make Indian food! I've been a subscriber for so, so long... this is the first time you've made Indian food, yeah? Thanks for your content, and that dish turned out PERFECTLY, in my opinion. I'm hungry now!
Such a great adventure vehicle! The desert has a beauty only few can appreciate Steve. You bring that beauty out with your cinematography. Food as always looked delicious.
Steve, I appreciate the desert, prairies and badlands too; but, my own favorite environment has long been the timberline region where montane forests yield grudgingly to alpine tundra along broken fringes of clutching, withered green fingers. All the better when gaining that transitional ground was preceded by long ascending treks through ancient forest stalwarts! I am in the process of relocating to the Rockies from western Washington, but the move is motivated more by crowding, politics and economics than any other consideration. As long as my old grey matter remains capable of retaining memories, the fondest of those will feature images of mountains and forests.
I have seen such beautiful videos on your channel but this one has to be among the very best. If you weren't an outdoor cooking tools designer, I would say that you could be one of the best filmographer in the movie making industry. You really know what you are doing.
I loved this video! The music threw me off at first..I was ready to not like it because of that, but it was actually really good!! The scenery, the Syncro, cooking food, spending time with your wife, Juni and Ash, drone shots..perfect!
Stellar video!!! I once went thru Black Dragon with my kids and aging father in our '98 Expedition. My buddy told me we'd make it all the way to the main road in the swell but I had my doubts in spots. I tried to act like I knew what I was doing but I was skeert we were going to walk out of there. I didn't even have a map I was just going on his word. I really like your rig(s). all of them..
what I would call one of the "ultimate" places to get away and enjoy - so absolutely calming. at 20:30 I understood why you can do what you do😁 always great having someone cheer you on.
Wow love this video, as many have said it’s good you and your wife get to spend quality time together and now I’m gonna have to try lamb on the firebox
💥YES finally the VW Syncros Back! Absolutely wonderful video Steve! You and your family have a blessed holiday season. Thank you for sharing👍Can't wait for the next! Steve at Black Fly 🙃
Having spent 21 years in the dry desert of the Coachella valley definitely I prefer the mountains! There are some nice places in the deserts but I prefer the trees and cooler weather! Where you are we would have called it the high desert which is a better place to be!
What spectacular country and great drone footage. I enjoy outback Australia with its harshness and colour and I am sure I would equally like the area in this video. Great stuff.
Thank you very much I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Maybe someday I'll find my way to your part of the world to enjoy some of the beauty you find in your backyard.
Cool trip! I know exactly where you are in some of those shots. I love it there, especially this time of year when it’s not so hot and there are hardly any people. I respect that you still have your old vehicles even though you could have the newest/best money can buy. It’s cool!👍🏽
I really love your content video brother specially when you hiking with your 2 dogs and 2 goats ,i really love so much because im enjoying to watch your videos ,and im really amazed on how you handle to train your animals specially the 2 Goats ,i really really love animals because im a pet lover you know, and so much fun,and so relaxing views, and hear it your cooking and fishing, even im working i watch your videos if i have a time to rest from my work i watch it i really love so much your videos its hard to explain but im happy to watch your videos , Watching from:Philippines 🇵🇭
Since we actually live IN the forest here in Washington, I'm much more at home there than in the desert. Gotta admit though, riding a motorcycle through desert terrain is easier than in the forest, dodging trees and such. Our issue is water, or lack of it. Beautiful video, and especially nice to watch today, waking up to a 5 degree morning with plenty of snow here!
Makes sense, honestly. The desert does offer more openness for sure. Washington is beautiful as well. We have a good amount of snow here in Utah as well, but we need the moisture. Thank you for the comment Alex!! 😊
Ash and Juniper seem to get a lot from camping they enjoy it just as much as you and your family do, they got you and your wife to hop into that muddy creek and cool off, they enjoy the hikes and enjoy just being dogs, Ash is funny walking around in her muscle jacket Another great video Steve thanks for sharing
I was drawn to ur channel for all the beautiful trout fishing/cooking but u havent been catching as many. That deep orange colored trout you would catch got me into trout fishing! Ty
Hello from Australia! 🇳🇿 I purchased your firebox folding chef knife. Received it 2 days a go & I think it’s awesome! Already used it to gut & fillet a 35cm Redfin. I think you guys call them just perch or golden perch. & a good feed of yabbies. You call them crawdads. Great knife, razor sharp flat grind, easy to wash & I found out first use that it strikes a Ferrell rod pretty well also. Great knife mate! $160.00 to Australia including postage was worth it to support a great channel with fantastic content. 👍

Steve. Always a joy catching your new vids. You have gotten so good at capturing great content and chill vibes. Thank you for making my day so many times. I really do love and use all my extensive Firefox gear. Wish I was 40 years younger so I can use it all longer. Peace and love to you and yours... 😊
Another beautiful trip. I love to try to paint some of the scenery there but the lighting would probably change too quickly. I don't get around so good anymore but thank you once again for sharing.
Central Utah? Some places look familiar but I haven’t been down to Utah since 2016. I live up here in the pnw and I truly love it but the desert is where I’m drawn too. I like the intro music gives me 70s mellow drama vibes haha. As always the cooking is 🤌🏻

Thanks Clinton I'm so glad you're enjoying your Firebox products 👍😎

I'm starstruck...or maybe sandstruck. What a beautiful place. I kept saying, no, wait Steve! Don't change the view yet. I'm not done taking it all in. Could that possibly be a giant fossilized seashell at 6:55 ? Love the desert.
Very well could be, Utah has so many neat places to see.
