For the new water pump, you should look at the LS3 Camaro unit. It's truck spacing and the upper hose is on the driver's side, makes hose routing, and routing the air input to the intake mo' betta'.
If your steering is still sloppy. There's a nut on the gear box with an Alan head insert on the inside. Loosen the nut and turn the Alan part in a little and retighten the nut.
The alignment will help a lot too cause caster being way off will make it drive real crazy too. Just looking straight by eye, you can't really trust that. I personally wud get an alignment sooner then later. And take it somewhere you trust. A well done alignment will make a huge difference
The whole point of the bump steer kit is to have them arms straight. You don’t want them going up that’s what’s causing your stuff to tow in or out. you’re going to want to add another spacer so when you’re looking at the front those are straight
Try tightening up the steering box itself. There is an adjusment screw with a lock-nut on most steeringboxes. They also get wear around the steering column shaft with age which creates play on the steering wheel so maybe tighten that as well.
Those adjuster sleeves should have been threaded all the way down on both toe rod ends and then turned out to achieve the correct length. And the sleeve should be what’s turned not either tie rod separate.
215/65R17 is the size tire a lot of people are using for their 17”x4.5” rims. Cheaper than biased ply tires, ride good and are 28” tall. They like $75 each. You can buy 2 & mount them cheaper than a front runner tire. Oh, Hoosier makes a slick drag radial tire I noticed people running them too. Not the Pro radial, the street radial.
If your not going to really drag race the blazer. Then save some money for the truck and don't buy control arms for the blazer...... that's just me.... the blazer looks like you will daily it more. But it's your truck.
Don’t take this as a hating comment bro but all this testing is gonna be pointless if that motor fails. Leaking water pump and freeze plug should be addressed before testing. Suspension upgrades are gonna be pointless if motor is shot but hey what do I know I just worked in a vw Audi dealer as a tech for years but again just a thought. Again bro don’t think I’m hating just giving ya a good bit of advice cause I never see anyone else comment these facts. Good video tho keep up the hustle.
It’s not going to be pointless. If he blows this motor for what ever reason than all he’ll have to do is buy a motor and rebuild it. You just had to throw hey what do I know I’m a tech as VW Audi.
I don’t see the point of doing more testing when you really don’t have any adjustability lol. You only have like 3 clicks worth of valve adjustment on the shocks and the tire pressure that you can change, and no way to tune the ecu. I mean they’re your tires you’re burning up for no reason, and those Hoosiers aren’t cheap… plus it’s way to much tire than you need, the hard tire guys run cheap 275’s and are putting down 500+ whp. Why not go to an actual back half test and tune. I’ve been to plenty at wild horse.

Professional alignment for sure. Some things you just shouldn’t skimp on, no matter how budget your build is.
Keep up the hard work! Enjoying the frequent uploads.

I believe some of that unstable feeling comes from having radials on the front and bias ply tires on the back.
12:20 Just ceramic coat your windshield. Don’t need them doing anything over 35 lol. Been wiperless for a few years now 😅
