when adding a switch its better to switch the ground and not the positive. when your positive switches it can arc. and it will blow out the switches when switching the ground it doesnt spark or arc.
8:43 I can offer this suggestion up... I'd take that line lock button and mount it somewhere other than your steering wheel. If you're mid pass and happen to bump that thing, you're not going to have a good time. I don't even mount trans brake buttons to the steering wheel in a street driven vehicle for this reason. Hell... A lot of strip only cars are getting away from mounting that kind of thing on the steering wheels. Just trying to give some insight before bad stuff happens man. Keep up the progress man. It's coming along nicely for sure. 🤘😎
Most line lock kits come with a kill switch but even without you could just wire one up and mount it somewhere close by. It’s just for the line lock so it doesn’t need to be hidden especially considering the circumstance you’d use the system in. I feel like if you drive a manual having it somewhere easily accessible like the wheel is a smart play but it’s not as necessary to do like a nos button for example
Is it possible you could use the wiring from the horn instead of the coiled cable having to be annoyed by it? Just throwing it out there not sure if it’s possible 🤷🏻♂️
What's good bro... Love ur work and motivation... Was going to ask do you work on other's car's and truck's... I'm interested on some work on my truck...Lmk..G
I would have started bleeding the rt rear... that's why I'm not a mechanic. Adding the shrink-wrap looks professional. my tip on the wheel... maybe make a spacer that goes on after the wheel in installed to space the horn button out.
I like to connect my line lock a different way 1. switch over button 2. run it to the rear brakes I prefer to engage line lock with the brakes NOT pressed, blocking fluid from getting to the rear brakes... this is so you are still able to pedal the front brakes and roll out of your burnout
On God , that thumbnail is fire , put that on a Tee it’ll sell out fast . 👍🏾

Exactly what I was thinking....also using an on/off switch before the lock button to enable and disable it could work... Safety first!!
That's actually how I have it on my fox body. I have a switch to engage my line lock Then I just Turn it off.

I did the front because it's a stick shift. I contemplated that method but it didn't solve my problem with staging
