Great story telling - love it. But history and archeology is something different. The Vikings drove out the Muslims in many places also from the Mediterranean - especially Sicily - conquered it and made it into a Normannic kingdom. Portugal is a great example, the Vikings raided there - but not first. The first raides were done against England and Ireland, like 800, the raide on Lisbon was 844 so much later. Jerez de la Frontera was under moorish regime until completion of the reconqista, I visited its a beautiful city also but no traces of Vikings I saw, doesn't mean they weren't there. The early expansion time of the Vikings they had their own religion - the norse mythology - during 100 years they were all converted to christians and went on to conquer many places. Again, you don't need to write "your" history, just share the facts and it will change written history, if you don't have them its just story telling - even if its really great one!

Why invent your own stories when there are so many stories you could teach others that are true and demonstrates the various Arabic kingdoms and their magnificent achievements. Religion and science has nothing to do with each other. Priests/Imams should focus on the religion and let educated scholars (of all religions) educate those that are interested in learning. Great story telling - love it. But history and archeology is something different.
The Vikings drove out the Muslims in many places also from the Mediterranean - especially Sicily - conquered it and made it into a Normannic kingdom.
Portugal is a great example, the Vikings raided there - but not first. The first raides were done against England and Ireland, like 800, the raide on Lisbon was 844 so much later. Jerez de la Frontera was under moorish regime until completion of the reconqista, I visited its a beautiful city also but no traces of Vikings I saw, doesn't mean they weren't there.
The early expansion time of the Vikings they had their own religion - the norse mythology - during 100 years they were all converted to christians and went on to conquer many places. Again, you don't need to write "your" history, just share the facts and it will change written history, if you don't have them its just story telling - even if its really great one!

Agree that all should learn the history. But those who teaches the history must teach it correctly and honestly without their own agenda and motives. This video is sadly inaccurate at best. Why invent your own stories when there are so many stories you could teach others that are true and demonstrates the various Arabic kingdoms and their magnificent achievements. Religion and science has nothing to do with each other. Priests/Imams should focus on the religion and let educated scholars (of all religions) educate those that are interested in learning. Many great minds in the history understood this but had to pay their life as the price for spreading science and knowledge with hidden agendas and motives. Priests and Imams and other religious leaders has since the dawn of time tried to control the story being told as this is the only way to legitimate their own status and role. Even in 2021 this is sadly the story.
