Reviving My 600HP Turbo Civic EP 5 - DIY Bash Bar & BIG Boost Mods

- Today is a big day for Frank the 600 horsepower turbo Honda Civic. For the last year I have been running an intercooler that is bent and destroyed from a crash. Today I finally did something about it and installed a new big intercooler. I also decided to DIY a custom crash bar for frank. This is something I have been wanting to make for a long time and I think it is going to make Frank look like a Street Goblin. Very happy with the result. #frankthetank

Intercooler will def hold up. I think you did a great job with the resources at your disposal. Looks great that color too.
I wasn’t expecting that color for the crash bar but it’s definitely dope I didn’t hate the black either but definitely adds a nice splash of color to the car
Looks good like the crash bar
Nice job on the crash bar John. 👍🏻Honestly thought you were painting it PURPLE to go with your engine accents.
Awesome job on Frank, can't wait for more! 👍
Let’s go John!! I love the gym clips bro! Brings a freshness to the videos other than just cars. Eg is coming back better than ever! Much love from Cali 🤜🏽❤️
Thanks homie!
Crash bar looks good to me! With what you had to work with you did a pretty good job, really just more measuring and it would be fine
You should add some more piping to cover the bottom of the intercooler, those colors go hard together tho! But look up some bash bars for drift cars and go off one of those, theres a bunch of insanely cool designs!
I was already thinking about doing that for V2 haha.
The desk looks awesome! I can’t believe you brought it up there all by yourself. LY ❤
Big and strong
Pretty dope considering what you have to work with! If possible I’d try to use those two top mounts on the intercooler as well. Two on the top and the two on the bottom would be solid. Love the vids and how often you’re putting out content. Keep going my dude!
Nice!!!!
The color is cool AF
Add support brackets to the top of the intercooler
Love the crash bar
Add more to the bar to add to the structures entegrity and keep the color if no bumper you need to add to the bar for both strength and looks
Saw that as Revving my 600HP Turbo Civic. Still Clicked.
Lookin good, but I kinda figured youd make intercooler mounting tabs off the bash bar for the top.
Looks good but white would be looking real good.
Lookin super good! lookign forward to more vids
Man keep up the good work bro !! Ima a big fan 💪🏾
Hello. Just some advise. You should do some body work videos. Like DIY on body work
you have talent dude
You should paint the wheels that color too! 🔥🔥🔥
Looks really good John. I did all my first fab projects that exact way, angle grinder and MIG. Good tools definitely help but i feel like learning with what you have makes you more versatile in the end. To this day i prefer notching tube with a bench grinder and angle grinder!
i would put mounts on top of intercooler also
We go Jim!😎🦍
🦍
This makes me want to buy some old eg shell and start wrenching
If you were making another crash bar then you should paint it purple to match with your valve cover
Just put some washers behind it on the pass side it’ll be fine
Cap the ends of the crash bar john prevent rust
Word. Where do I buy the plugs? Or you mean weld on end caps?
What welder did you first get when you were starting to learn? Or do you know one recommended for beginning?
I have an Eastwood mig 180. It’s about $500. Gas cylinder was an additional $250.
I think this is a great beginner setup. The welder is capable of 120V and 220V.
I am still learning. Big time. I have only welded a handful of things. It’s been really nice to have though.
@@boosted_john thanks, I’ve been looking to get one but there’s so many out there of varying quality and price. Going to my local shop for little things is getting old
🇧🇷🤜🤛
Hey man what size tires are you running ?
