Im a big fan of the full exhaust, it sounds good. As for the rust, its 100% fixable. Ive offered this before, as i am now, im down to help you fix it. Metal fabrication is fun! Im right across the state line in Indiana.
John, you can fix that rust I know you can and you know you can do it too! I know it seems like a gnarly task and a lot of metal work and welding but you definitely have experience welding and you would channel was built off you exploring and challenging yourself. Obviously, you know the longer you wait the more trouble it’s going to be. You got the whole underside coated why not try and save franks back leg. You can make Frank live forever and always! Would make some fantastic content!
That rust spot is definitely tragic, but it's 100% fixable. Honda still makes rear quarter areas for the EG hatch, and I'm sure a fabricator out there would be willing to fix it up for you. It would definitely be more fargone if it was rusted through to the floorpan, but if it's just the rocker and jackpoint then I think you're ok.
They make the outer rear quarter, not the inners and he needs the lower jack points. He should just sell the shell and pick up one with low rust from a southern state. You can tell the inner wheel wells are gone and the rear tail lights are rusted too. It would need to be stripped. @Boosted John do it sooner rather than later. Those clean EG shells are getting harder to find.
John! You can totally fix that. I just did it on my CRX and have ZERO experience lol. That would be dope content a lot of people obsess about on their own projects too 👌
Well you can pull a @prizzamike and weld a new quarter to remove the rust. Or cut it all away and install a rocket bunny wide body kit. Good video either way
God damn, that rust is so tragic. The jack point just collapsing while the car is in the air was an irrational fear for me when I had my Accord, but fortunately for me it remained just an irrational fear. I can't imagine how shook you must have been when your car actually dropped in front of you. Is it fixable? Certainly. Is it financially feasible to fix? Surely not, but the car likely has a lot of sentimental value attached to it for you, so it might be worth fixing anyway. There are weld-in repair panels available online, if you never did a job like this it would be great content to watch you attempt this. If fixing it doesn't work out, you can still get a clean shell and transfer it over, or perhaps transfer all the good stuff to the EK (unless... 👀). Whichever way you take, I will watch it, keep up the amazing work💪💪💪
They say the best car is the one paid off sitting in your driveway. And I would agree with that statement until rust is involved. The time and money spent fixing that jacking point/rocker/quarter panel is not worth it. It also doesn't get rid of the rust everywhere else. Personally, unless there's some extreme sentimental value, I would keep my eyes peeled for a donor shell but just keep driving that thing until it falls apart. If you're not careful though, you'll end up with 5 civics sitting in your driveway/yard lol.
Hi John, much better with the full exhaust, sounds really good! You must have seen that rust comming, it's really sad experience but you have to fix the car, it's deserve it, everybody loves that car to much to not fix it.
John, frank is 100% fixable my sills are in a worse state and it's going out for welding next week! It's just a hurdle, but could be your sign to practice your welding and bodywork! Who knows where it nay take you! You got this!
surprised at how good that sounds with the full exhaust actually, nice work! unfortunately for the rust tho I'd just remake your own jack point, def would require some good solid welding if youre comfortable with it. Im thinkin you just cut back what you feel is needed, lay a 1/4 thick plate on the underside and go from there!
Hey bro, so I have a 94 honda civic coupe D15b7 it starts up great but it’s smoking white from the tail pipe and like black oil coming from the tail pipe as well what do you think is wrong? I love your videos by the way
That car is actually in great shape I'm no body guy but living in Minnesota I've embraced body work. I'd cut all that out and weld in new peices you'll be much happier. Even if your welds aren't great that's what angle grinders are for.
Great to see you guys at the gym together! Switch out those empty hands for a medicine ball for ab rotations 😁 P.s full exhaust = win. Str8 pipe on the street is for dummy's 🤪
I prefer the adult exhaust much better, maybe because I'm older lol. I feel if it's track only the hood exit and bumper exit. If you are on the streets do full exhaust. This is what I did in my car. I even dumped my wastegates back into the exhaust.
As much as you have put into and done with and to frank bro, you deff got to fux it as won't be to bad just some patch panels and Mayne a lil custom fab work .. just what you need for extra practice right lol just sadly not how it wanted to be thrust upon you, but nevertheless broski its come along way .. peace and love bro keep it rad stay safe and build on l8z fam and have fun brotha
Not a fan of full exhaust. But my tastes in a EG hatch are different from most. Fully gutted, caged , cammed and up piped. Your car John so if your happy , all that matters.
Hey John you got a string hanging from your shirt oh wait that's your arm... you're scrawny little brother better lift more weight anyways your cars are great very inspired by your videos😂
It's so easy for people to say "Just get a new shell bro" or "there's so much rust" but when a car has sentimental value to you it's not that easy to part ways with. I say fix the current shell John. Its just gonna make for more content. I also have an EG hatch that I've owned for 15+ year. I've fixed my rusted out floor pan twice already. I'll never give up on my Civic.
The jack points can be a pain to fix with new metal, but there are a lot of good videos out there. You have a welder and a grinder. You can do it for sure!
The amount of money you would spend fixing that would pay for another shell 2 times over. The whole car is a safety concern, for you and everyone else on the road.
Sounds and looks soooo much better with the full exhaust! I always hated the bumper exit. Now give the car the body work that it's been desperately needing for years!
Ayeee been a minute since I've watched some of your stuff. I took your advice and built my own car!! I sold it now and I'm in the process of LS swapping a chevorlet s10

That rust was sad.
The car sounds amazing
And god bless potbelly 🫡
You will love the quieter sound
Debatable lil
You guys need to get together and help each other
Frank is all grown up now with a full exhaust!

Buddy I would get another shell
The Basic Illinois Rusty #Shitbox Honda... 🤷 how did you not know is the real question lol 😆

i am not a fan of the 4in round muffler i like the MagnaFlow OVAL STRAIGHT-THROUGH PERFORMANCE EXHAUST 3in

Sound a lot better with full exhaust!! , you should do a t51r mod , will sound mean with full exhaust
What’s that?
@@boosted_john t51r turbo mod , it makes the turbo sound like a jet
Great to see you guys at the gym together! Switch out those empty hands for a medicine ball for ab rotations 😁

Its savebal cut a floorpiece of a junkyard eg. And rear arches are not so expencive. ✌🏻🇳🇱

It sound way better with the full exhaust system! 🚗
AYEEEEEE 140lbs!!!!!!!
She is 💯worth fixing. It’s not that bad 💪👍😁
I hate bumper/hood exits, full exhaust is always my choice
I will say invest in a chop saw or bandsaw it’s worth the investment I make exhausts for all my cars lol
That rust looks wild might be time to give frank a new shell and let him evolve to frank V2
When is the next time you going to the track? We should get together for some fun runs. Keep up the good work.
I guess it's time for some sort of widebody kit with all that rust going on... 👀
As a fellow illinoisan, I never put a jack under the rocker
I need help on getting 3inch downpipe vband style mines not top mount manifold
Is it fixable. Absolutely. Will you ever fix it? We will see.
The rust is definitely fixable John but i think we can all agree its time for a new shell!
You need a new shell with all that power . You need a California civic no rust
looks like a great time to do a completely custom widebody, cut the entire rusty panel off...
I’m not a wide body guy 😂
@@boosted_john don't say foolish things like that
Is it really back day without deadlifts🤔
John, is this a 2.5" or 3" exhaust?
Jus get another shell paint it real nice and switch over the parts
Hey John you got a string hanging from your shirt oh wait that's your arm... you're scrawny little brother better lift more weight anyways your cars are great very inspired by your videos😂
I will literally fold you in half with my mind
😂 all jokes. Thanks for the motivation.
Exhaust > bumper/hood exit
It's fixable... At a price! 😔
Time to make a trip to Georgia for a rust free eg...
That rocker crunch hurt my soul John😢

Are you selling the side exit exhaust ?
Potbelly is the best sandwich shop!
Brotha. It’s solid. I have a hard time choosing between potbelly and Jersey mikes.
super impressive you can do all this on your own, did you have someone teach you or just start working on cars and learn as you go along?
Learned as I went homie
Way better! More deeper quiet sound to
Frank needs to be retired and you need a new shell
Get a new shell there’s so much rust bro
T51R mod on the turbo make that thing sound crazy
What’s that
Thanks #BoostedJohn 0:34
Premium content 😮
Rust repair time

lfg john!!!!!
Dude the downpipe looks killer! the car is sounding great good stuff john!!!
Nice sound
The jack points can be a pain to fix with new metal, but there are a lot of good videos out there. You have a welder and a grinder. You can do it for sure!
Fixable
I'm a fan
i felt like i got ball tagged after seeing that rocker incident. strong work for powering through it though
Time for a new shell it’s done ✅
The amount of money you would spend fixing that would pay for another shell 2 times over. The whole car is a safety concern, for you and everyone else on the road.
pov you turn 30
Lol I’m not 30 yet
Clean setup!!!
