    Meditation to Balance Hormones
    BENEFITS
This meditation helps to balance hormones by activating the parasympathetic nervous system, the part of our bodies that help us to rest and relax. If we're stressed, our hormones go haywire. Breathing through the left nostril is soothing, calming, and restorative, helping to bring our bodies back into balance from our busy lives. With balanced hormones, we feel calm, happy, and radiant.
    HOW TO DO
    Sit in a comfortable position
Take your right thumb or index finger and block off your right nostril
Inhale long and deep through your left nostril - try to inhale for 10 seconds and exhale for 10 seconds.
    Continue for 3 minutes
To end, Inhale deep, hold the breathe for a moment to consolidate the energy, and then exhale deeply.
Try it for 3 minutes in the morning to set the tone for the day. You can do this first thing when you wake up in bed or after making tea and sitting comfortably in your meditation spot.
This meditation can also be done at any time throughout the day you feel like you need to decrease stress. Just find a quiet spot and breath long and deep 26 times through the left nostril.
the song used in the video
    Song: Slok of Japji
    Artist: Charanpal

I’ve been doing this meditation sporadically since this video was uploaded. For some reason, I started crying today as I did it. Thank you for helping me get back in touch with my emotional needs.

You were releasing catharsis , whenever you do such breathing exercises , you are cleansing from within ,you are catharting, and catharsis mostly happens through crying .

I meditate most mornings and this is a game changer! I tried it out this morning on a rainy stormy day after a day of drinking and I felt so much better and less anxious about the toxins I put in my body last night. Plus it’s easy to just open up and go on with your day after!

Wow good choice for the first video! 😍This one always works, have been doing it since childhood! But the key is to do it regularly everyday..

Really struggling at the moment with my hormones as I'm in Perimenopause, just practised this and genuinely feel better than I have all day. I will try and incorporate this practice into my mornings before work as I tend to be worse first thing when I get up. The fact its only 3 minutes is super helpful as well. Thank you xx

Thanks, I will add this in to my morning routine ;) I've had chronic endometriosis for ten years, so a little unsure that this alone will balance my out of whack hormones! But definitely believe that it will help in combination with the diet/lifestyle changes I've made over the years to help improve things! 🙏🏻

When I began my first 10 inhales my left leg got goose bumps! Since I've started my meds a few years ago, I never get goose bumps anymore. I'm giving this a go for a month. Thanks for explaining why this may work and great and easy to do!

I think I'm in perimenopause and my cycle has been so irregular, I'm really hopeful that this will help balance things. I'm doing my yoga teacher training this year and I plan on doing a lot more meditation than my teacher did. Looking back it's the only thing I do different in my home practice. I'm so excited about it and glad that there's amazing teachers like you that I can learn from, love and light 🙏🧘‍♀️💕
