Often, dusty silk and plastic greenery can be tossed in your clothes dryer with a dryer sheet for just 5 or 10 minutes and come out looking new and clean. I've been doing it for years to keep my own greenery looking good.

Those blue ribbon edges geese filled EVERY kitchen of the 80's, right??? 😆 I got so sick of them, I never want to see them again. The "little red truck" equivalent of the 80's.
My Goodwill is overpriced as well. They don’t go any cheaper than 1.99. It’s ridiculous. Especially if it’s a small little trinket or something. I even find items from the DG that are priced higher than they sell it at the actual DG store.
I love Goodwill, and have 3 of them within 15 minutes of my home, as well as a Goodwill outlet, which is a thrifter's paradise, since there's so much stuff and you pay by the pound for most items

Oftentimes when you see mattresses wrapped like that is because many places have free 1 month or longer try out period. When it gets returned, it cannot be sold as new. The store bags them, I’m hoping sanitizing them by heat, chemicals, etc. They donate and take huge deductions for their “charitable” donation

That tiny wicker chair is so cute and I love the pair of pewter reindeer! I agree that some people behave rudely; at my DT a lady spread out tons of stickers and rub on transfers all over the floor and left them there.

I live in Crystal Springs, MS, but was in Oxford the past few days so we drove to Hernando today and went to Kilgore’s, the bins, the Goodwill, and a little church thrift store. Kilgore’s is a little overwhelming. I told the owner I came because of you. He said you are a mess and have sent him a ton of business. The bins were basically a bust. I found a couple of things. I really liked the Goodwill. It was large and I had a good time shopping. I found a few things at the church thrift store also. I love your channel and look forward to your videos!!
I am in FL and there is hardly anything worth while at Goodwill...FL has not been populated as long as other states and we don't have basements and attics...so hardly any antiques...
I love that Goodwill! I frequently stop there while traveling through the area. If you ever get the chance, the bins in Nashville will blow your mind! I travel from Ohio back home to Louisiana, so a girl needs a thrift break along the way!
What a great haul!! And great prices too! My GoodWill stores have gotten ridiculously high priced here in my area of Dallas- they use to be so fun to shop😉.
And executives getting million dollar salaries unfortunately, they don't pass that money onto other employees. I talked to one gal who hadn't had a raise in 8 ye😊ars! I've seen Dollar Tree items (when they went for a dollar) priced at 2.99. You must remember most of their stuff they get for free. I like Salvation Army much better. They actually do good community work unlike Goodwill.
Oh I loved the teal/ blue candlestick/vases! I have 2 in that color and a few others in different colors. I always pick those up when I see them.❤️❤️❤️

I love the deer. I also liked a couple of the pieces that didn't have a price. If I really like them, I will pick them up and wait to see what the price is. If it's too high, I will tell them I don't want it. Sometimes, I will get some great deals that way.
I love chickens, so that little chook you got was gorgeous to me! Also the bunny was adorable, and so glad you got that tall handmade, leaning vase...it was amazing!

Goodwill is a great place to shop depending on the neighborhood it's in or the neighborhoods surrounding the town it's in. The Goodwill store near my home rarely has any good finds and the furniture section is almost nonexistent. The people who shop at that store go there regularly--I mean daily and the minute it opens. Then they take it back to their little shop, mark it up and make a huge profit either selling it on Ebay/Craigslist or in their own shop or at a garage sale. What's left is mostly clothing, toys and a few household items that are either in various stages of decay or need repairing.
I went to my local American thrift store for the first time today and I found bird cage candle holder and a bird cage note pad holder among other items but those were my favorite. I can’t wait to see what you do with your items you found. Those videos are my favorite
I thought the colander was pretty spectacular!! The high end greenery was nice!!! Those chairs had great bones but I agree that they would have been really hard to recover!!!

This trip was fun...I particularly loved that wood vase/jar you picked up. Looked old! That tall clay vase you picked up looked like the clay had a lot of grog in the mix. That might mean the clay was hand mixed as well giving it that awesome texture. I feel like that was a score even with its slight lean.
I got a set of 4 glass wine tumbler at goodwill. Looked brand new for $6. It wasn't until I was at home and cleaned them that if saw the word Lenox etched in the bottoms. I was thinking to make glass etching with them or put cricut decals on them. After I found out that Lenox is actually expensive I figured I won't mess with them.
That cute little wooden stool that had flowers painted on the top I would redo the thing . But it reminded me of a little milking stool ,one you would see in a barn that only had a cow or two that they milked daily for the family .
I really love those pewter deer and the sleeping bunny is precious! Do you decorate for Valentines? I don’t do much but I usually go a little crazy for Easter and spring!
I am so amused right now because I have only been to Mississippi one time. We were vacationing in Memphis and hopped over the border and went to THAT SAME Good Will…and then headed right back. Too funny.

The stool was a bargain! I've been looking for a small rustic stool here in UK for ages, they are so pricey new. The search continues.

The deer are cast aluminum. Pewter will not shine as much and is softer so would show dents and wear under those conditions.
