So funny, at 75 years old I’ve been cleaning out my cupboards and closets of collected junk. It’s good to know there are people out there who might want my throwaways. Five generations of “treasures” given to the Goodwill in Newberg OR.
Back in the day, the small Osterizer jar would be used on your blender to make sauces and gravies without getting your large blender jar dirty. The small Victorian rockers were usually made from aluminum drink cans. Also, unless you plan to keep it for yourself, it would be best to keep the brown lace on the embroidery hoop wall hanging and let the buyer decide whether or not to keep it. 💝🍁🍂
Julie those blue flower cups from Germany were a promotional product. You bought groceries and got stamps that you traded in for pieces of that Johann Bavarian china. I have a a full set minus the butter dish cover and a Berry bowl. I collected them in the early 1980's. They came in that blue (my set) and green. I also have the serving platter. . They are very delicate and I have finally started using them everyday now that I am retired. . Enjoy 🙂
Magnolia is a beautiful flowering tree. Also you often confuse needlepoint, cross stitch and crochet. Should look them up and you will probably see that needlepoint, when done well, will generate much money.
The mesh basket with the red rubber handles is used for blanching vegetables that you are freezing or preserving. You dip the veggies in boiling water for two to three minutes before freezing to stop the ripening process.
Love the hankies and the rocker. I've been at the bins several times when strange things have happened. Either a man following me around or a woman telling my friends daught to stop looking at her man, and there wasn't anyone with her. And a couple of times police came and took someone away in handcuffs. You just never know. Thank you for taking us with you today.
Julie, I have a whole set of that Blue Havilland China. . They were a grocery stamp program set. . I just love mine and the big coffee cups are the best! Enjoy, it's beautiful 🤩
The little Napkins were used at women's gatherings, club meetings and at peoples homes. Card games were played and light refreshments were served in dainty dishes and table settings. You really found a nice grouping in those vintage linens. I understand they are extremely popular and very sellable. Especially in what appears to be mint to great condition. Indecently, using oxy-cleaning products and or rust remover will almost always get stains out of these old linens. At least it works for me!
I love watching these and seeing things and saying, hey my mom had that! Sometimes it’s like a walk down memory lane. Brings back good times .Wish I kept some of those treasures.

Have fond memories of my mom and her pals gathered around our kitchen table while they created the latest popular craft. They made these little rocking chair pincushions in the 60s before I left home. I wish I still had the rooster she created for the kitchen wall: it was all sorts of dried beans, corn, seeds glued on to a piece of plywood to create the shape and colors of a rooster. When they got together to give each other perms it was a "hen" party!
Always look forward to your bins shopping trips. The scissors are bandage scissors a nurse uses to cut through gauze to change a dressing on a wound. I think the smaller linens were cocktail napkins - at a cocktail party.
I cant believe it but... those little T cups u found are very familiar to me. I have a whole set of that pattern of dishes that my Mom and Dad found at a yard sale years ago... It really Is a Beautiful set!!
In the bin right before the spools, there was an "anniversary clock" in a cloche. The clock unscrews from the base very easily. Even if everything else is plastic, the cloche is always glass. I've gotten several, and they are a great size for display. Cindy
Wow, what neat stuff you found! Everything was so cool. Those bins had so much to offer that I may have stayed and filled another cart. You’re so blessed to have a bins store near you. The closest one to me is two hours away.
Oh my gosh! What great finds! The blue tea cup and saucer is really pretty. The brass bunny is adorable! The linen handkerchiefs are so pretty. Can't wait to see what you do with them. Thanks for sharing!❤❤❤
Those pink (?) napkins that you said were very small are cocktail napkins. You wrapped them around your drink or set your drink down on them at cocktail parties. Classy and gorgeous!
I had 4 of the mini Oster blender cups. They were sold separately . I actually gave the blender away two years ago. Have several of those tin cookie cutters still. Great finds!
My favorite was the brass 🦢 trivet ❤️ and the blue and white teacups which were a super popular affordable pattern Johann Haviland Blue Garland. I inherited my mother's entire china set. She got it piece by piece from Kroger grocery club 💙
I use those tall metal candle sticks to put my hats on. Years ago I found a vintage wire chicken egg basket. I gave it to a friend that moved into a farm house.
Hi Julie😊 the iron basket that you say you don't know its use, it was for shaking the salad after washing it. This is the old version of salad spinners. Thank you for your videos 😉🙂
The bins I go to mostly have clothing, shoes and books, very, very little home decors. Your so lucky to have this one. Just love to watch you hunt for treasures. I’m 70 now but my church friend whose 78 we try to go out once a week and treasure hunt. What fun.
I read that some of those Corning Ware pitchers were recalled because the silver area would separate from the lower pot when hot liquids were put in it.
I lost my pet bunny about a month ago so every time I see a cute bunny like the one you found, my heart starts racing with excitement and sadness all at once. I grab it without hesitation. I don’t know of any Goodwill bin stores near me, but I have a regular Goodwill. I know getting out of my store with that much stuff under $20 would be impossible. It’s fun to see what different stuff your stores have versus mine (I’m in Pennsylvania). I like shopping vicariously through you.
Love the Christmas stuff , all of hankies are so cute, metal candle holders, all 3 silver trays, that brass bunny so CUTE. Everything you picked up was so cute. Great trip.❤
I don't know exactly what it's for but you could always cook crabs in it. Yeah, you could put a clip on the top. To hold the handles together, put crabs in a big pot. Put them in a big pot and boil them and take them out or lobsters
New subscriber from Cape Town South Africa 🇿🇦. Wow what great items you found. We don't have stores like Goodwill in South Africa, I wish we did. I enjoy your videos.
I had a pair of those scissors when I was a candy striper and a hospital growing up. Are used to help discharge patients from the hospital and would use them to cut their bracelets off when they left.
@@maureenmcmillan277 I am a nurse and have used them thousands of times to cut dressings off of patients. Since you have used them you know that the knobby side is put under the id band or dressing so you don’t cut the patient’s skin.
Nice haul, take what moves you. I love the brass bunny the most. Good job as always. Its a different world now, just be careful no matter where you are. We need kindness , not rage. Kind regards ❤ Deana
All the ladies handkerchiefs and perhaps a few mens in there, looked like genuine older pieces. The white enamel canning set was very nice, as was the egg basket.
😊The scissors are nursing scissors, my mom had them and she was an emergency nurse, also the little tin chair is made from tin cans, I had a set of them with green velvet.
I have some crowns made in the same fashion as the little metal chair. Mine were made from tin cans. That sort of looks like it could have been made out of a can.

That magnolia picture looks like needlepoint. Beautiful!
The metal rocking chair is made from a tin can! I had one given to me as a child and i used it when i played with my dolls! Tin can art.
The things you find in the bins are better than anything I find on the shelves at the goodwill stores here.

I agree! The lace is there to hide the embroidery hoop/frame and since it's brown lace-it would still be fine for a boys room.
Needle point magnolia. The small lace squares are handkerchiefs. The Japan cups and saucers are not worth anything aside from pretty.
Those are nursing scissors
My friend's mother used to make those pin cushion chairs out of soda cans. What a great find!
Ya..My Mom would make those Victorian type chairs and Rockers out of Aluminum cans!!... I ddnt know they were still around!!... Lol. ✌️❤️😎👍

The small chair is made from a soda can. Amazing the resourcefulness and craftsmanship of people. I bought a few pieces like that 27 years ago.
Such a good haul! The small linens look like vintage cocktail napkins. The cross stitch magnolia is to die for too :)
I love watching these and seeing things and saying, hey my mom had that! Sometimes it’s like a walk down memory lane. Brings back good times .Wish I kept some of those treasures.
Hello Julie the wire basket the lady gave you was used for draining salad. Good find !
Yes, vintage collapsible egg basket the lady gave you… so nice of her! I grabbed one this summer super cheap. They can get pricey
To Me that seems like a Steamer U would use in a large pot to steam veggies or boil eggs...✌️❤️😎🥦🫛🥚
Napkins are to die for..what a tea party needs.
The little rocking chair is from the 1970's. It is made from aluminum cans, cut into strips and curled with narrow pliers ..it is a pin cushion.
Tramp art in older times.

Yes, cocktail or luncheon napkins.
I use napkins and handkerchiefs basically as doilies if they have any embroidery on them.
The small handmade ceramic pot is a kids pinch pot. Kids made it by pinching the clay into a shape.
