*Julie, your excitement and enthusiasm are contagious and put a smile on my face every time❣🤣 Don't worry about getting wicker wet; you NEED to get it wet periodically so it doesn't dry out and crumble to dust...but don't use detergents on it because they will dry it out and ruin the finish and cause it to crumble, too. Best to fill up the bathtub with WARM water and add a capful of Castille Soap. It's very mild. You can clean wicker with a soft brush and/or toothbrush; 🪥 then rinse with cool water. As for the glassware with hard water deposits or stains, fill with warm water and add a couple of denture tablets and let them foam and dissolve. Scrub the glass vase/bottle with a bottle brush (no metal!) that looks like a small version of a toilet brush with a straight handle and bristles all around for maximum scrubbing ability. If there is still some stubborn residue or hard water stains, sprinkle baking soda inside the empty vessel you are cleaning and gently scrub with your bottle brush or toothbrush until removed and rinse completely with lukewarm water until the water runs clear. Dry with a flour sack towel so you don't develop hard water deposits on your newly-cleaned vessel. I have been using this method for YEARS. Baking soda on a wet toothbrush also cleans tea and coffee stains out of cups like magic, without being abrasive! 😊*
OH MY….. I AM SO EXCITED THAT YOU GOT THAT GOLD MIRROR AND THE SWANS ❤️❤️❤️. !!!! I am dying over those …LOL!!! Then the Coach Bag… you are a girl after my own heart! I buy my Coach Bags used ( in good condition ) and I have had mine for 13-14 years…using it DAILY ! And it is similar to yours ! The older that leather gets, the more delicious it is ! I love the Purple Finch picture also! I love Bird pictures, prints, etc! The one you painted the mat on looks wonderful ! Never thought of painting mats ! You did really good ! Julie , I actually used a power tool yesterday… a table saw to cut spindles ! YES.. my husband showed me how to use it! I’m 65 years old and I was like a kid ! I want to room full of power tools! 😁😁😁😁 Can’t wait to see you start your wood projects again! Woooo Hooo !!!! Hugs coming down from snowy NYS ❄️❄️❄️💙💙💙❄️❄️❄️
I agree, swans, mirror and finch. I am 66 and love my tools! Don't have a room full, though. Nowadays it is easier to find tools to fit women's hands. Years ago I bought ryobi cordless drill cause they were the only ones that were smaller. The Hitachi cordless tools at Lowes are an affordable price, especially the combination packages. Definitely go for cordless! And figure out which ones you are really likely to use. Good luck. Should be some great sales this time of year.
Hey there, Thank you for sharing all your goodies with us. It’s great that you’ve found some new places to shop. 🙂🙂🙂 My favorite favorite items were the *swans*!!! 💟🦢💟 You know how a child can spot the golden arches (McDonald’s) a mile away? Well, having been Mrs. Swan myself for 27 yrs, I have a trained eye, to spot ALL *Swan* figurines and decor, from a far off distance too. 🙂🙂🙂 It interesting that yours were made to be decoys, I’ve never heard of such a thing. How were they decoys? 🤔🤔🤔 Well, again thank you for sharing with us, your purchases, and how you’ll be using them in your home. The *swans* facing each other on your mantle, in front of your beautiful mirror look lovely, it’s a perfect spot for them… Take care, and have a blessed and wonderful Christmas season and New Year. ✝️⛪️💟 Maranatha
Polident will clean that piece with the basket weave. Hang the lanterns in the murder columns. The purse the swans and the mirror are my favorites. But I love everything you got.
I am so excited that you watch Crazy Lamp Lady too. She is the one who got me interested & excited about learning about vinatge. I now share a booth with my Aunt, at two locations. She can't believe how much I now know about vintage & reselling. It's so fun. Another great UA-camr that you will not regret bing watching is The Antique Nomad (George). I have literally ran into him filming at an antique mall while I was out of town. He is a wealth of knowledge & an exceptional teacher. Loved everything you found today. Thank you for taking us with you.
The swans and the mirror were my favorites. If you decide to separate the salt or pepper shaker, the top that screws off would make a great handle for one of the glass lamp globes like the one you made into a cloche recently. maybe take to measurement so when you run across one you like, you'll know if it will fit it.
Yay! Back to woodworking! I get so excited to bring home my stuff from goodwill too! I find the weirdest stuff that everyone else passes over. And that’s perfect for me!
Oh my gosh I too am an 80's fan. Remember the plastic orange pineapple pitcher? I have that one. I think I gotta say I love those swans the most. The round frames and the vintage picture of the birds were great too.
Hi Julie. Thanx for taking us shopping with u. U scored! I think I liked ur duck decoy and swans the best. And the crusty lantern. Great job! I always say now I have new toys to play with.😊
I spied that metal glider at Kilgores! Love those! Reminds me of my grandparents house. Good score on the decoy. My Dad collected them. Both the plastic and wood carved ones. When he passed they all went missing (my parents were divorced). I was so sad because I wanted one to give to my son. You got a lot of great things. The bird print is so pretty!
The goodwill bins are amazing! I went for the first time in Iowa. I did spend but I got so many awesome deals. You should also watch the Niche lady also. She is a reseller and she gives you a recap of what she bought and what she will get for it.
Wow! You are so lucky to have a goodwill that has reasonable prices. And that is organized. All of the ones in the San Diego look like a tornado has gone through them. It doesn't matter what time of the day either. And I have yet to find anything worth flipping. MS is awesome though. The thriftshops, antiques, yard sales, and auctions are just crazy amazing. You always find the coolest things. I just finished watching the video. It's funny cause the way your video started, in the car, then the way you were talking abt the items, I immediately thought of the crazy lamp lady. I used to love watching her. But it's pretty much the same every time, so I haven't watched in a while. She is a sweetie though. I was also thinking when you went in to the place with booths, that it won't be long before you have a booth there. I bot freaked when I saw all that cast iron. That's where I would have gotten in trouble. Cast iron is hard to find in San Diego. And when you do find it, it is soooo expensive. And there is never any of the old, worth a ton pieces. Not that I would ever sell any I find. I love me some CI. I have to say that I was the happiest when you mentioned getting back to working with wood again. That's what I love the best about you, and your wood videos. You were just down to earth real. I truly hope you don't try to turn in to all the cloned you tubers. I have unsubscribed, & stopped watching so many people cause they are ALL the same. They use the same words, the same rhythm of talking, and the same style of decor. The key words are said in all of them. So I hyst picked the ones I like best, and bailed on the rest. I want what I watch to be quality, not quantity. I want unique, not carbon copy. Please stay yourself, and real. That is how you got to the number of subscribers. I hope you have a great weekend.
I love the wren picture in white, such great contrast to show it's winter joy ❤. Your enthusiasm for all the things you found is truly your artist's heart on display. Loved this video, thank you Julie!
You always make me smile. Love your video's. I agree the swans are the best and they look awesome displayed in front of the mirror on your mantle. love, love, love
The RED CANDLE STICK IS PERFECT FOR CHRISTMAS AND FOR SAINT VALENTINES!!! 🤩I always love your enthusiasm with your purchases!!! Specially loved the KOOL-Aid set!!!
Wow what great finds .. I’m with you the swans are definitely my favourite 😍 they looked so pretty on the mantle xxx. Loved this video sweetheart always great to have a look around thrift stores 👏🏻♥️xxxx
Hi Julie!! Great haul..I love everything you got !! I wanted to share that I use the tablets to clean dentures in my jugs and such that I can't get clean..it takes the dirt and foggy look away.. without scrubbing..I get the tablets at the Dollar Tree..I am glad you found the purse..so nice..I have been looking for the accordion wall hangers too..when I saw those two laying there..I was like omg!!! Happy you bought them.. Thank you for sharing!! Take care
It’s hard to pick a favorite. I think for me the white canisters, the swans and the gold mirror. I love your enthusiasm and always love to see how you decorate with your treasures. Thanks for taking me shopping. 😉
The Swans are everything! And add the mirror to them!! I could feel your excitement! Your hauls were amazing. The pleasure of thrifting for me is finding one of a kind items at a bargain price! I am excited for you!
You found fantastic items for this shop with me/haul video!!!!! You have such a creative mind that when you tell us what the ideas are that you have for each item, my brain automatically says, "That's a brilliant idea Julie!!!" I just love what you are able to come up with and create. So inspiring. Thank you for always sharing with us!!!
Hi Julie, you crack me up at how excited you were to find the Kool Aide pitcher & cups. I'm from Hastings, Nebraska where Kool Aide was invented. ENJOY! Blessings.
Oh my, heavens. Julie! You totally found awesome things!!! That mirror! And those swans!! Totally worth the $. I think he gave you a great deal, which is smart, as he knows you will be back! I love these videos. Keep em coming, lady!!!
OMG!!! The Kool Aid set is so awesome! I just saw a cup the other day at GW and I looked and looked for the rest but never found it. We had that set when I was a kid. Such nostalgia!
You are so cute, your excitement over the coach purse made me laugh and smile! I’m so glad you found so many treasures to enjoy, they are all beautiful! 😄🌸
Yes you can clean that vase! Those bins are full of Amazon things in our area! I found SO many things! Usually they have different prices for different days! Whatever day that you went will be the same prices on that day usually! You did really well at the goodwill! Plus the bins! I have 2 wooden ducks that are hand carved!
Oh ye!! The Kool-Aid man!! I used to have one from when my daughter was younger but I have no idea where it went. Love "shoppping" with you and seeing all there is in the stores.
The Coach purse looks authentic. On the inside there will be a square of leather with numbers imprinted on it. The date when the purse was made will be there. It is very pretty. I would pay $30 for it!
You had a Great Day!! I guessed the things you were gonna buy. I love your style. Favorites? The metal picture frames, I love using them. I love the mirror and swans as well. I actually liked it all!! God Bless You!♥️🌻
A thought for your octagonal birds; cut out around the birds, make a new drop cloth or cheese cloth background, use your IOD stamps or transfers for branches… greenery… floral… whatever setting you want. Then put your birds back into their new environment (I’d put the birds on a stiff backing and use foam dots to make them 3D setting off the print.) Black frames / white wax.
Wow! You picked up a lot of things I thought you would!!! You had a great thrifting day! I wish we had stores like these. Oh I love the swans. You truly made out like a bandit on this trip.
Wow! What fun and good advise. I love your enthusiasm and ideas. I too love working with wood, and the thrill of FREE wood. Thanks for sharing your creativeness with us. Robin in Fla.
That was fun shopping with you I cannot wait to see what you do with all of these and I am especially excited to see a walk-through when you’re beautiful home is finished what a wonderful new journey you are on and I hope you enjoy every second of it God bless The swans are my favorite
Hi 👋 every single staff u bought so beautiful and perfect! looking so good.love people like you beaches you know how to get and bring old stuff into your house 🏡 and the old stuff looking amazing 💓 like u very much 🤣.u so unique!!! And the price so so good.i enjoyed shopping with u ❤️
Oh Julies’ thrift hauls. We never get tired of them! I don’t dare go into Goodwill Bins in my area. It’s nasty and it’s a lot of people throwing stuff around. You are very lucky! I think my two favs are the mirror and the ducks. Oh, and yes! Getting back into wood working made me smile. So thanks for that!
The two lanterns are from Southern Living At Home (a MLM company). I use to be a distributor for them. The company went out of business about 10 years ago. They originally had glass candle holders with them and sold for around $75 each! I have 5 of them that I use to have attached with the matching hangers (that were sold separately) on the columns across my front porch. They originally were a bronze color, but being outside, they weathered just like the ones you purchased. I’ve since taken them down and have repainted and repurposed them. I have some of them in our full time home and a couple at our lake house. Great find!!!
My favorite is definitely the wicker canister/pitcher.....it looks so expensive and I can't wait to see it staged!! I really loved everything!! I went to my local Goodwill Tuesday and they had a whole plastic bag full of the thread spools for 2.99, there was about 10 in the plastic bag. I never thought of using them for decor, so now I gotta go back and get them, if they are still there 😆 🤣. Everything you got I loved!!
I wish I could go thrifting with you! We see things the same way! I totally saw the chair as spindles. I have 2 huge swans on my hearth. And I love baskets...Your excitement when sharing your finds is so fun! Keep shopping for us!
What great finds! L knew you were going to pick up those white canisters and that mirror, But my favorite are those swans! They are beautiful! Thanks for sharing
I think the mirror was my favorite, but truly liked a lot of your finds. I use water to clean all my wicker - I don’t soak i, but a quick spray will get dust in the grooves. The Coach bag appears authentic. If it is there will be a registration tag inside on the zipper pocket. If it is awesome, if not - looks like you then got a very nice leather bag at a good price. Loved your video and enthusiasm.
Julie., love your haul...you got some great items...I love the "barn/bins" in Herando....I think the items you got there were the Best! I hope to go to Kjlgros on my next trip to my sister. Thanks for sharing...enjoyed the video!
Fun video with some great finds! Loved all the bird print pictures as well as the picture frames and the large gold mirror. What a great price on the mirror! 🥰👌
Wow you had a great haul. I always love going thrifting with you! The swans have to be my favorite, but like you I have to say the purse was a great find real or not.
WOW... amazing finds n the prices were great. Loved everything you got. Favorites are the coach purse, swan's, lanterns n 2 of the bird pics. Thanks for sharing this with us.
So much great stuff! Hard to pick a favorite. Love that gorgeous mirror, also the finch print. I gasped out loud at both of them. The ironstone pitcher is really sweet too.
Here in Ireland we use willow baskets and you must soak them to tighten them up yearly.

I asked the same thing about the swans. Apparently places up north they are a nuisance and are hunted.
You can get wicker wet. It won't hurt anything. I soak thrifted baskets all the time to clean them so your decanter should be fine to hand wash.
I wouldn't plunge it down into water-just wash it without submerging it into water. And it's ok if the wicker gets a little wet
@@LaLadybug2011 in order to make baskets they literally soak the pieces so they will bend. Soaking them won't hurt them.
I soak my baskets once a year to c.ean them, never has hurt them. I feel it even helps prevent drying put and breakage
@@reneawest9021 you can use furniture wax on them too. It conditions the baskets like it would a wood table.
I do the same with mine, just be sure to dry it well
Polident will clean that piece with the basket weave.
Hang the lanterns in the murder columns.
The purse the swans and the mirror are my favorites. But I love everything you got.
Lol that's exactly what I was going to suggest!! Gotta decorate the murder columns!!🤣
Yes. I use polident in all of my cases. Works so good.
OMG you are so funny when you get excited about something you bought. I'm the same way.
Especially a basket. Love watching all your vidios.
I am so excited that you watch Crazy Lamp Lady too. She is the one who got me interested & excited about learning about vinatge. I now share a booth with my Aunt, at two locations. I kid you not, I guessed every item that you bought at the Goodwills and the barn!!! Absolutely beautiful, perfect shopping day!!!!
Wow! You are so lucky to have a goodwill that has reasonable prices. And that is organized. All of the ones in the San Diego look like a tornado has gone through them. I agree, the swans are amazing!
We call it the Good Will dump here in NJ, lol. It’s where all the Good Wills dump their stuff that they can’t sell. Love the chair & the price.
I saved all the labels and got the koolaid pitcher and the 4 cups! I was born in 1970 but I was so proud of mine.

That basket with handle is likely a church collection basket. Your Bins is one of the best I've seen.
The Kool-Aid pitcher!!!!! Yes I had one growing up, but not the cups. I love it!!!!

Crazy Lamp Lady is great. I started watching her to figure out what all my Grandparents stuff is and have learned a lot.
My favorite item that you purchased was the antique mirror. I love the shape and the frame isn't over powering. Love it.
You made me laugh several times during this video, so thanks for that! And I loved the purse and the mirror (and everything else you got).
When you picked up the duck decoy I was saying buy it Julie!!! Love it and the swans are fabulous! Love the baskets too, heck I love it all!
Hi Julie, you crack me up at how excited you were to find the Kool Aide pitcher & cups. I'm from Hastings, Nebraska where Kool Aide was invented. ENJOY! Blessings.

Julie`s ! this good find at thrift stores , I love the baskets , swans ,and the mirror does is my fever
Great idea! I was wondering if she could play around with copying them in black and white.
Amazing finds x love the mirror, swans , pictures - well the lot really 🤣
these were my favorites also!

You need to go back and scoop up those other two swans. I love them.
I got a lovely Michael Khor’s purse at a local Goodwill for only $60! Love a good find!
Love love love the Kool Aid set! And of course, the swans!
I love the colander and grater. You are the funnest to watch. I always look forward to seeing your next episode.. 👍
Great finds! You are so much fun to watch! I can't wait to see what you do with the octagon frames and the chair!
The swans are absolutely beautiful, and the mirror!
What great finds! L knew you were going to pick up those white canisters and that mirror, But my favorite are those swans! They are beautiful! Thanks for sharing
Enjoyed watching! Looking forward to watching more!
Girl, you would want to paint the books on that lamp white!!!😜
I think the mirror was my favorite, but truly liked a lot of your finds. I use water to clean all my wicker - I don’t soak i, but a quick spray will get dust in the grooves. The Coach bag appears authentic. If it is there will be a registration tag inside on the zipper pocket. If it is awesome, if not - looks like you then got a very nice leather bag at a good price. Loved your video and enthusiasm.
My favorites were the lanterns then that flatter basket! So happy you found happy things for yourself!
This was a fun one! Love the swans.

What a fantastic haul. I just loved all the stores. And yes I loved your swans so pretty. Can't wait to see more .❤❤❤
Love the cast iron pots. I would put some on my pretty plants in there. I also love the gold mirror. Great haul, love the enthusiasm.
Yay to woodworking! My fav is the chair because I need some new spindle inspo!
So much great stuff! Hard to pick a favorite. Love that gorgeous mirror, also the finch print. I gasped out loud at both of them. The ironstone pitcher is really sweet too.
The little wren picture was cute, but after you painted it....Amazing! What great vision you had for that picture!
