    "Get them while they're young ."
    I know why,
    because the young can't think for themselves critically and logically , that's it .

    I was one of those kids who was terrified of god and hell. It was no more complicated than a parent putting their kid to sleep with threats of fire and torture....every single night. It was the fact that hell was a mere possibility that freaked me out. as a result my childhood was terrifying. I will never do that to my kid. I will do everything I can to keep my children from my own family's indoctrination efforts (which they have already started behind my back incidentally). it sucks having the very people she is supposed to trust attempting to indoctrinate her at such a young age. Its too bad that I have to keep her away from them unsupervised. She will be indoctrinated only over my dead body. the christ-cancer will not infect her mind if I have anything to say about it.
    I'm grateful for all the atheists/anti-theists who posted videos on YT (RIP Sir Hitch!!). collectively, they all have helped me fill in the gaps for WHY I knew my religious background is and always was complete bullshit.

      There are many things we should be terrified of and Hell is the biggest one. If you care about your child you will teach him to fear hell and God, a child loves their Father and still fear his punishment,

      Fuck you and everyone like you. Every one of you religious fucks are a metastasized tumor cell. You are a relic of a past we should all be ashamed of. Santa Clause is more real than your imaginary sky fairy. You sicken me you slimy, disgusting liar. A father doesn't threaten his children with eternal unspeakable torture for the crime of being created BY HIM!! You are too stupid to even see how little sense you make, and for that, I pity you. Maybe you will gain your humanity one day. As it is, you are nothing but a wasted life. Fuck you.

      @FGuilt 6 років тому +2

      ptanyuh: I wish religion would just die already. We don't believe in Santa clause. Why do people still believe in something just as fake as that; not to mention incredibly more dangerous? Indoctrination is child abuse and people like Daryl L should be separated from childcare of any kind (like my own parents should have been long ago). They are entirely too dangerous to young minds. I look forward to the day when religious belief is a turn off to voters.

    • @aristotelian3098
      @aristotelian3098 7 років тому

      No, atheism is a 'side effect' of materialism, not 'rationalism.'

    • @psyekl
      @psyekl 7 років тому +7

      After watching some of Dillahunty's older talks, I think it's better to say: "I am not merely an atheist; I am a skeptic seeking rationalism. Atheism is just a common effect of that endeavor."
      "Materialism" being what, exactly? Not everything in the real universe qualifies as "material" (quantum physics being an excellent example). If you mean rationalists don't accept the supernatural, then you are correct, but that is only because the supernatural is, by its very definition, to be "outside nature" and not real. Until it is show to be so, it remains in the realm of fantasy, imagination or fiction (choose your favorite descriptor).

    • @aristotelian3098
      @aristotelian3098 7 років тому

      +psyekl _Not everything in the real universe qualifies as "material" (quantum physics being an excellent example)_
      Not exactly. Energy, too, is 'material.' It is not 'matter,' but it is material since we can measure and manipulate it (remember Lene Hau and her Danish laboratory stopping light completely and then starting it again?)
      A more precise definition of materialism is often that 'the nature of the world conforms to the condition of being physical,' or more succinctly, 'the natural world supervenes on the physical.'
      'Rationalists don't accept the supernatural' is not quite true. Rene Descartes, for example, was a rationalist and accepted the existence of God. Anthony Flew was a rationalist and accepted the existence of God. So was Immanuel Kant, one of the most important minds on this subject. Those materialists who do not accept any other form of existence speak beyond their knowledge. Assuming that _A_ and _B_ are not contradictory, to say that _A_ exists is not to say that _B_ does not also exist.
      It depends on your chosen system. I remember reading a German treatise some years ago that began with the chapter, 'Das Problem mit dem System,' or 'The Problem with 'System.' That, I think, is the difficulty faced by what you call 'rationalists' who are really materialists or 'physicalists.' It's an epistemological choice, a definition of what we must, for whatever reason (it differs among physicalists), say that we 'know.' Usually physicalists ('materialists') admit to our being able to 'know' mathematics, say, which clearly are not physical. Materialism begins with an unprovable first principle (all first principles are) that 'all that is, is physical.' Not everybody thinks that to be true, and materialism can't prove it to be so.
      That which is 'outside nature' ? What do you mean by that? Most Christians would, and certainly the Bible does, say that God is above' nature' but not always 'outside' it, at least in his works, and those works can be seen and known. That God cannot be manipulated as if he were an element of this universe (which is all that we can physically do, being elements of it ourselves) is not evidence against his existence.
      What you call 'imagination' or 'fantasy' in your post looks instead to be merely frustration. We are an impatient people, prone to the 'sour grapes;' fallacy known since before Aesop described it. Acceptance of the existence of God is none of your 'descriptors.' Thus in this case, they are not descriptors.

Hes absolutely great at a lot of things. but cannot become famous because he not expanding in any direction. Its kind of like asking why the worlds best most exhaustive 8th grade teacher isn't a world renowned Professor of ? that's the point. Matt is the professor of critical thinking. something that should be common sense....so in a way he's the absolute BEST in the world at teaching...what should be common sense. again he's my fucking hero, Because he gave me the insight to learning logic ect. But again. I realize he is simply teaching common sense. that is why.

    Sooo...this is the book that Christians say contains the messages and stories that the ONE TRUE GOD -- the perfect, infallible, all-powerful, all-knowing, all-loving, Creator of everything -- PERSONALLY wants to communicate with us, so that we may know him and our souls may be saved... BUT (!!!) it needs to be edited and re-worded in order to communicate its "true" messages more effectively and make it more palatable to small children. How did the irony of this endeavor manage to escape the author?!

      Wrong question. The irony isn't in the Bible or its authors, it's in your pretending to know what you're talking about and declaring it as it is true while complaining about something that's false that isn't.

      By not actually telling them what it *ACTUALLY* says. In other words you continue to lie your arses off to them. I mean their religion is a lie. Why stop there?
      Luckily for me if I wind up having kids one day, I won't need to lie to them. That's because I see religions for what they are: Societal Cancer designed to enslave the masses to nonsense in order for the greediest and most power hungry of us to take control. So my kids will learn what religion really is from the minute they're old enough to understand verbal communication.

    so much about this i love. if i were to highlight something, it'd be the order of priorities matt lists (skeptic first, then humanist, then atheist). i see so many people become so focused on the so called "great debate" they abandon their skepticism and humanism for the ability to "destroy" or "pwn" their opponent and build a community on agreeing with the in group. it distresses me to see the atheist movement leave unquestioned their biases given them by religion and society as a whole. it distresses me to see people abandon their critical faculties and humanism to attack and harass feminists and civil rights advocates (for example) in the name of skepticism. critical thinking is of highest importance, then a grounding in ethics which encourages equality and understanding. atheism follows.

    I am so sorry I was once a Sunday school teacher teaching these stories. As the years passed and I became less of a believer it would torture me to have to twist and turn every story to make it age appropriate, making me suffer in the process. I hated teaching knowing it was all a lie, using the bible verses or passages but twisting and giving a milder reinterpretation. I just couldn't take it anymore. Although I wholeheartedly believed it, it makes me feel so guilty to this day.

      Interesting take on this story: What if one thought God needed you to prove your faith by sacrificing your child? Consider the times when everyone knew God was real, and the consequences from refusing would be worst than the loss of a child. Fear from what God could do was the prime motivation to obey. Job really had no choice.
      Taken to extremes the 30,000 human lives butchered each year to appease the Aztec Culture's imaginary gods shows the true extent of that fear.

      Aaron King Don't know why but the fear of hell never took with me even though I was raised southern baptist and heard many sermons on the wrath of hell growing up. When I realized that religion, all religion was based solely on mythologies and legends, I realized that heavens and hells of religions were just fictional fantasy places, that humans are just as dead as any other living thing when we die and are simply recycled back into the environment. It might help if you tried learning and researching the history of all the hells people have made up over the centuries. The very idea of thinking people you don't like suffering for an eternity was and is even today so vengefully comforting to the self-righteous. LMAO Here is a link I found on some background history of hells.

    Hey Matt I think one of the things about the bible not saying Isaac was afraid you may have missed is that in that very story Isaac had to be bound to the altar. He had to be tied down, but he TOTALLY wasn't afraid.

    I really, really wonder, what would people, who lived within a couple of hundred years from when these stories have had been written, think about our modern interpretations (I may be confused about tenses here, sorry, please correct me). I also wonder, how contemporary believers deal with how the sense old-time people tried to imbue in those stories with time passage mutates into something obviously different. You don't need to guess, you can read "church fathers" (Acta Sanctorum and Patrologia Latina, if I remember correctly) to get to early Christianity, for example, to exact words those guys wrote.
    Seeing us, would those ancient people pray for another flood for God to start again? Or would they throw away their book and say "who knew I could do that!" - and go invent an aqueduct or something before its time.

    • @kingda117

      Aristo Telian Stop playing semantics. "disobedience" and "rebellion" are the fruits of non-belief.
      Abraham’s god is insecure and jealous of the love a father has for a son. The Bible is useless as a guide to true morality as the following passages will attest:
      "I permit no woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she is to keep silent." 1 Timothy 2:12
      "However, you may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among you. You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those who have been born in your land. You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your children as a permanent inheritance. You may treat your slaves like this, but the people of Israel, your relatives, must never be treated this way." (Leviticus 25:44-46 NLT)
      " Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ." (Ephesians 6:5 NLT)
      "Christians who are slaves should give their masters full respect so that the name of God and his teaching will not be shamed. If your master is a Christian, that is no excuse for being disrespectful. You should work all the harder because you are helping another believer by your efforts. Teach these truths, Timothy, and encourage everyone to obey them," (1 Timothy 6:1-2 NLT)
      There are truths and great advice in all Abrahamic scriptures but also lies, divisive notions, downright stupidity and absolute wickedness. The real definition of evil to me are those who pray for and work towards a "rapture" and the "end of days".

    • @aristotelian3098
      @aristotelian3098 7 років тому +1

      +kingda117 _Stop playing semantics_ I'm not playing semantics. You're playing impatience, a sure and certain path to error and falsehood. This particular case of impatience seems to stem from 'play the game my way.' Listen instead to facts and truths that you may not have considered. That is wisdom, and we need that to be right.
      You already know this, for without hearing yourself, you actually agreed with me:
      _"disobedience" and "rebellion" are the fruits of non-belief_
      Which is true, and which makes 'non-belief' _different_ from disobedience and rebellion. 'Non-belief' is a state. It has many possible origins: ignorance, incuriosity, environment, priorities, psychological pathology. Disobedience and rebellion are acts from decisions. They are different from non-belief.' Non-belief is a negative. Disobedience is a positive, that is, an act from a decision. There is no punishment for simple 'non-belief,' as we can see from Cyrus, the king of Persia, being called God's 'servant' (Is 44 & 45) even though he was not Jewish and did not worship the Jewish God. He did the right thing, however. St Paul carries this thought a little further when he says:
      _Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the Law, do by nature what the Law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the Law_ (Rom 2:14)
      So your thought that simple 'non-belief' leads to some kind of punishment, is wrong. it's disobedience and rebellion, or what you do with the knowledge that you have, which is a work of the will, not of cognition. What you decide is far more important than what you believe (though this is far more complex than we can say on YT, so please do not jump to conclusions. There is much more to say and thus to think on this).
      _Abraham’s god is insecure and jealous of the love a father has for a son. The Bible is useless as a guide to true morality as the following passages will attest:_
      _"I permit no woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she is to keep silent." 1 Timothy 2:12 _
      This is an incomplete thought and therefore a wrong one. You do not consider the context of Timothy's youth and his inexperience in leading a church and Paul's intent on helping him to do all things in good order (a concern of his in 1 Corinthians but not in other letters, for his concerns were different there), nor do you consider all the women the Bible shows (for example, the women at the tomb, of whom at least Mary Magdalen was subsequently called a 'messenger' of the risen Christ) whom he greeted as leaders in the Church: Lydia, Prisca, Euodia, Synteche, Julia, someone called 'Nereas' sister', Phoebe (called a 'deacon'), Tryphena, Tryphosa, all of whom are called 'laborers' or 'co-laborers in the Gospel,' and of course Junia, whom he calls an 'apostle.' Pretty grand titles and automatic acceptance for someone you apparently think was a misogynist.
      Let me guess: you didn't get your ideas from actually reading the Bible, did you? You got them from atheist websites. Not credible sources, you know. They make many glaring mistakes without seeming to notice or care.
      _"However, you may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among you_
      Oh, heavens, when will you atheists get it into your thick skulls that you have to actually read the whole Bible and then you have to understand it? this is such an old canard that has been refuted so many times.
      1. You go to Leviticus, ever early in Israel's history. They are a new nation, they live in a time in which slavery is just 'the way things are,' for slavery is far older than Israel is. It's then a cultural issue, not a cognitive one, and cultural conditions change slowly, very slowly for our modern impatient emotions. The US fought over slavery for almost a century, Britain banned the slave trade in 1833 (the English Court of King's Bench had previously banned it in Britain proper in the _Somerset_ case (1772):
      _It [slavery] is so odious, that nothing can be suffered to support it, but positive law. Whatever inconveniences, therefore, may follow from the decision, I cannot say this case is allowed or approved by the law of England; and therefore the black must be discharged_
      A Christian country, remember.
      But that made no difference to the South in the US. Finally, of course, there was that Great Unpleasantness of 1861-1865, and still that didn't change anyone's mind in the South, who held onto as much of slavery as long as they could.
      Cultural conditions change slowly. Not even 600,000 dead (today the percentage equivalent would be about 2,000,000) could convince them.
      God takes a different tack: since culture changes slowly, then change the culture slowly. it worked. Slowly our minds changed until the Church, in the midst of a grimly slaveholding culture, in which it was illegal to advocated for the abolition of slavery (by Paul's time, the Third Servile War (Spartacus), with it's 6000 slaves crucified along the Via Appia, was a serious historical memory), the Church abolished it in itself, the only place it could do that:
      _There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus_ (Galatians 3:28)
      That's why slaves and women flocked to the Church, because there they were free and equal. The Church was criticized by the Romans as being 'a society of slaves and women.'
      Of _course_ the Church would not demand that all slavery be abolished. It was illegal and for a noncitizen (most of them were), it could mean death. Three wars over slavery? Rome was not exactly pleased about that.
      So the Church did what it could, which meant changing people's minds about it. Paul did that twice int he Bible, once in Romans (see above), and once in Philemon, where he tells Philemon to take back his runaway slave Onesimus
      _no longer as a slave, but better than a slave, as a beloved brother. He is especially beloved to me, but even more so to you, both in person and in the Lord. So if you consider me a partner, receive him as you would receive me_ (Philemon 1)
      Which was simply not done in the empire. Contrast this with the letters of Pliny the Younger. the Roman concept of slaves is far different. Aristotle said that they were not human but merely 'living tools.' Rome agreed, though they could do almost any job in the empire except the military and on the _Cursus Honorum._
      So what should slaves do? Since they can't do anything about their slavery, and to try would bring them death, then the only thing they could do was to be good slaves. That way they would achieve two goals: they could by their conduct teach the master of the good of being a Christian, and very likely be freed eventually. It was not uncommon in the empire. What you think you see as immoral is simply getting a long-term good to replace a short-term evil about which no one could do anything.
      You really are too impatient to understand the Bible. That is under your control, however.
      _There are truths and great advice in all Abrahamic scriptures but also lies, divisive notions, downright stupidity and absolute wickedness._
      No, you simply have not seen all that the Bible says, and you so far have not understood what you think you have read.
      _The real definition of evil to me are those who pray for and work towards a "rapture" and the "end of days"._
      So in your mind, Hitler and Stalin were not evil. Interesting. I suspect that some atheists might disagree with you.

    I disagree with one major point in this speech - as an atheistic scientist, I take a lot of things on faith. EX:
    There is an eclipse tomorrow - I have faith that my calculations were correct that there is an eclipse tomorrow.
    But the best example I know about the importance of faith as an atheist is the story behind euclid's 5th postulate.

    • @SansDeity
      @SansDeity  5 років тому +3

      You're a scientist and you take ellipses on faith? You wouldn't for actually data and evidence? You wouldn't trust independently verified calculations for good reason, rather than faith?

    • @davidfastje8469
      @davidfastje8469 5 років тому

      I used an eclipse as a mildly sarcastic example, merely because you ended your speech with it. That said, I am acutely aware of errors imposed from expectation bias in calculations, validations, and peer reviews - meaning "independent" verification is a fiction.
      Something fun and eye opening you can do, is to compare the theoretical value of universal constants (like Big G, the gravitational constant) to the experimental findings plotted in time. You are likely to find that the same experiment ran before and after a minor change in the expected value will be mirrored by the results of the experiment simply because of the researcher's expectation bias.
      In summary, I am simply saying that I see science as more "the art of telling fewer and fewer lies" than a perfect truth. That being said, I really liked your statement about not being too attached to any one idea. We all have our postulates taken on faith and most of these postulates will need to be revised at some point.
      Here is a paper that discusses this issue and looks fairly good to a slightly sleep deprived reader :) www.sheldrake.org/files/pdfs/papers/Experimenter-Effects-in-Scientific-Research-How-Widely-are-they-Neglected.pdf

      I am aware that my definition of faith is different from the definition some Christians would tell you if asked. And while Christianity uses faith as the reason itself, Christians do not - which is why almost every one of them will have said a prayer amounting to "are you really there" at some point, looking for anecdotal evidence, just like my back of the envelope calculations (particularly when I drop a zero!).

    • @davidfastje8469
      @davidfastje8469 5 років тому

      I say that my definition of faith is different from some Christians because there are so many groups and not because it is in conflict with some theoretical "one true definition of faith in religion" that you are alluding to. And here is a pretty good synopsis of my view on why faith is valuable: ua-cam.com/video/h2Vx9qoLzFs/v-deo.html
      And I would rather not touch the straw man "Christian discussion" you constructed because of the density of implicit assumptions that will limit the fruitfulness anything I say to you about it.

I think that allowed me to avoid actually becoming enraptured or seriously convinced by the few sermons I did pay attention to and more importantly the religious indoctrination my mother attempted to insinuate upon me.
    Of course I think a big part of my utter lack of indoctrination also comes from the fact that though my mother is lifelong believer who refuses to to even consider her position and mentally shuts down whenever the conversation comes up, she really wasn't that pushy about it. XD
    As such I can pretty confidently say that I don't think I ever really counted as a Christian, despite going through the motions until I was about 11-12. But I'm one of the lucky ones, and for those of you who the indoctrination DID take hold, and especially if your family is of the flavor that might disown an atheist relative, I really hope that you've all found some equilibrium in your life and have managed to come to terms with any hardship you may have experienced.

I lived less than a block away from a yeshiva on Foster and Kedzie in Chicago for years and got to know students and rabbis and talked with them frequently. They argued all the time as part of their schooling. 'Many Judaic scholars' means nothing. Which scholars? How many? Can you show that the Bible was 'changed'? There's a big problem with the whole Christian child abuse thing here in Arkansas, as well as a lot of religious places. Kids here aren't heard , their opinions and their ideas on things aren't even listened to. It's all the "because I'm the parent " thing. It's completely unfair to kids to not listen to their needs or how they feel about going to church or if they want to join a baseball team or not. Parents all too often just put kids in things and make them go to functions that they don't even want to go to, but each time they say hey I don't like baseball or hey I don't like this children's church , etc , the parents tells them too bad, your going . They never listen to children. It's all about control. When I was about 15 I got real smart assed with my mom because she was trying to get my to do things I didn't like and had no interest in and she would not listen to anything I had to say and didnt care that I didn't want to do them. I know some people say well you aren't 18 yet, doesn't matter , if they are trying to get me to do something that I don't want to do and I have no jnterwst in it , it is not right to force a child to do it, no matter how old they are. Why would you think that you can force a child to play tee ball or football and expect them to like it, if their not interested in it . The parents just put kids in soccer class or band and never even bother to ask the kid hey do you wanna do this ? They do it on purpose

That is why the dupers that perpetuate that toxic crud in the bible don't want anyone to question it. They know it can't stand up to it.

    Everyone wants to get views, but how you do that and to what extent says a lot about you. Matt is Machiavellian up to a point.
    He speaks of critical thinking but does not apply it to his own.
    In his closing statement he claimed, the supervening facts are necessitated logically by the lower-order facts supervened upon together with the concepts by which the supervenient facts are identified. The extensions of our moral concepts however are not determined by the subvening facts together with the concepts themselves. Someone might in principle differ with us over the correct application of these concepts without failing to understand or share them and where all parties are fully informed about the subvening facts. And that can leave the facts of supervenience itself looking, from a naturalistic standpoint, unappealingly and peculiarly mysterious.

As I was putting my proof on the board the teacher asked if anyone had a proof with fewer steps and some one offered a proof with 14 steps which was far fewer than mine. When I pointed out the error in the offered proof the teacher considered it for a few seconds, and then crossed out the proof in the book and asked me to put my proof on the board.

      Admittedly I didn't listen a lot. As a psychologist I couldn't stand even his interpretations of another author. I remember being confused and needing to factcheck if he actually is a professor. (something about his? pc research was total nonsense in methodological sense, 2nd year students -in my country-would see those flaws... I remember thinking)
      I feel sorry for people who want to understand psychology, honestly - - and run into him (as he's gotten popular on yt) and can only hope those students have better other professors, and well developed critical thinking skills, and reading literature would lead them to actually understand material.
      To the guy who sent me his video(s) in a first place- I suggested he goes through Crash Course psychology. It's well done and covers all basics so one can have a wider context where to put new more thorough research. (and see holes in Petersons lectures)

    Of that I have no doubt, for Matt spends his time pretending to refute Christianity, but really he merely wastes his time attacking its worst arguments and examples, and criticizing something called 'religion' and its public, social effects. What he does is something akin to 'After a spirited match, Matt finally pins his squirrel.' Congratulations, Matt. You have refuted something that doesn't matter.
    That's a poor technique, unconvincing and lazy. If Matt were serious about this, he would take on the best arguments that Christians have made over the centuries, which he has not done.
    Instead, he does what makes him money, which is an atheist accusation of public Christians like the televangelists. Interesting, that.

    Abraham took his son out in the wilderness which 1000 years later was Calvary, the reason God told Abraham to kill his son was so when Jesus cried out to God from the Cross to save Him from the agony, God would have had to answer Jesus request except for that God has made a promise 1000 years earlier that because Abraham was willing to kill his son so would God also allow His Son to be killed on the cross, Jesus died on the cross and died and over came the spiritual death ( eternal separation from God ) so we don't have too. Also, God is our Father and as we love our Father we also fear his punishment.

    • @Demogorgon47
      @Demogorgon47 7 років тому +1

      And you know that's the reason why God commanded Abraham to do that how exactly? Sounds to me like you're making shit up. Sounds to me like the best arguments you have is to regurgitate platitudes and bible propaganda rhetoric. You know? The same stuff all Christians wrongly think is capable of impressing atheists which is why they wind up making an arse of themselves.
      You get that we're not interested in propaganda rhetoric about Jesus right? You do get that we're not interested in ridiculous ad hoc excuses that are made up on the spot in order for the blindly gullible to make whatever convenient excuse they need to explain away the reprehensible nonsense they believe?
      You do get that no matter how much you stay on script and keep reciting those lines of propaganda rhetoric that you're just going to continue to make an idiot of yourself. You can't preach or apologetics an atheist into submission. Hell threats make us laugh and apologetics demonstrate how desperate you are to make your vile book seems less scum baggish then it really is. Reciting the script won't get you anywhere.
      The only thing we're interested in is proof. Not desperate excuses, empty threats or the silly little script you recite in order to jam your view down the throats of those who aren't interesting in hearing it.

    • @Demogorgon47
      @Demogorgon47 7 років тому +1

      Hey Holy Spirit. I only just made a condescending rant about how atheists are not interested in platitudes, being preached to or listening to propaganda rhetoric that Jesus loves us. And your response was to do exactly that.
      I'm curious. Are you really so naive that you think I'd hear a few lines of your rhetoric and drop to my knees and be like "Yes Jesus! I will accept you as my lord and saviour!!"?
      Are you really so naive that you think that if you just spew the right lines of rhetoric that we'll buy into your con?
      Like I said atheists are interested in proof. Not platitudes, not rhetoric, but demonstrable, testable, falsifiable evidence under laboratory conditions. And my guess is since that you can hear an atheist explain this to you and your response is *STILL* to preach that you don't have jack shit to prove your god's existence, all you have is a desperate desire to believe and therefore an obnoxious desire to preach because like all people convinced of a malignant lie, you need us to believe too. The more of us who see your religion for what it is, the more you have to face the fact that you believe absolute nonsense and therefore the harder it is to keep pretending like you believe.
      And I'm sorry that you can't handle that but that's not my problem. Piss off pal. Come back when you have some scientific proof that god exists. But we both know you'll never find any because your religion is a lie designed to control the masses. This is how idiots like you can literally have it explained to you why preaching , platitudes and propaganda rhetoric won't convince atheists and the best you can do is spew preaching platitudes and propaganda rhetoric as a response to someone explaining to you why that won't work. It's because simpletons like you are easily convinced by such nonsense and even as it's explained to you how ridiculously weak such tactics are you *STILL* can do nothing by try them.
      It's because that's all your religion's got. And I don't have time for this shit. Take your preaching and cram it.

    • @Demogorgon47
      @Demogorgon47 7 років тому +2

      Once again Holy Spirit. I've said this to you before. Atheists ARE NOT INTERESTED IN BEING PREACHED TO!
      So *STOP!!!!!!!!* preaching. You're watching yourself fail *YET AGAIN!*. We're not interested in sermons. We're not interested in claims of "truth" with a capital T. We're not interested in pathetic excuses for why you can't provide said proof but assurances that if we just blindly swallow your bullshit then one day evidence will be made manifest which is nothing more than a silly little game where you blindly accept a position and see what you want and call it proof.
      We're not interested in ridiculous stories of personal revelation about how you personally prayed and then *SOMETHING/ANYTHING* happened to which you foolishly drew a ridiculous conclusion that *SOMETHING/ANYTHING* was somehow god manifesting instead of being a ridiculous non-event that you twisted into something/anything it's not because you wanted to accept Jesus.
      We're not interested in people who play silly little games like that. We're not interested in platitudes or being preached too. So stop already. No sale here. I'm not buying the nonsense you're spewing. And I know you desperately want to convince me because you're infected with a mind virus that makes you have to seek out other suckers and infect them too no matter how rude or annoying you have to be to do so. But I'm immune to the ridiculous methods that people use to infect people. You're literally seeing your pathetic tactics fail and yet even as they fail you keep desperately trying to make them work.
      Well they're not going to work. Please provide some demonstrable, scientific evidence of your god's existence to me. That's the *ONLY* way you can prove something's existence, no matter what it is. Please provide said evidence, otherwise I'm going to write you off as just another pathetic wanna believer so desperate to make everyone else just like him so you don't have to face people who remind you of how ridiculous and laughable the bullshit you pretend to believe in really is.

    • @Demogorgon47
      @Demogorgon47 7 років тому +1

      We're done Holy Spirit. I've said this to you multiple times now. You *CANNOT* preach an atheist into submission. *EVERY* single desperate to believe Christian who plays this silly little game that you're playing right now can only ever do this. Preach preach preach preach preach preaaaaaaaacccccccccchhhhhhhhhh!!!
      As I've stated before and will do so again, it doesn't matter how you word the preaching, or how many times you keep asserting that your claim is "truth" or "reality" at the end of the day all you have is a silly little script in which you regurgitate the same pathetic lines of propaganda rhetoric that were able to convince you. Because that's all you have. No evidence, no proof, just a grand assertion that you desperately hope no one can see for the empty assertion that it is.
      *IF* you had some proof of god you would've presented it and even when I lead you down the path, explaining as I go how I know you're being irrational, all you can do is keep regurgitating the same lines of nonsense. You have not said anything I haven't heard a billion times before from people like you who are desperate to make everyone else believe you.
      It's no more than a recycled sales pitch. And you're only interested in making everyone else believe in your god so you don't have to face skepticism for holding obviously wrong beliefs. Know how I know? I've already told you how. When someone is convinced of something they present evidence. They don't duck and dodge doing that every chance they're told to present some and go right back to preaching!
      Quit stalling, quit regurgitating your script. I'm not interested in these silly little games. Last chance. You have only one more then I'm just going to start ignoring you. Your best scientific evidence for god is what?
      No more preaching, no more desperate sales pitches about how if I just accept your position to be true then I'll see that you're not full of crap all along. No more exaggerated claims of "truth" and "reality" or ridiculous nonsense about darkness and all that other pathetic metaphoric gibberish.
      Your best proof for god is?

    • @Demogorgon47
      @Demogorgon47 7 років тому +1

      Annnndddd we're done here Holy Spirit. Told you that's all you have. The same silly little script over and over again. Nothing. Nothing but empty assertions and a series of never ending excuses for why you can't present evidence for your god. Nothing but preaching.
      I told you that you've got nothing but a desperate belief and you've done *EXACTLY* what I said you would. Just keep on preaching loooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggg after it's become blatantly obvious that's all you've got and that it's insufficient nonsense. That lost desperation that if they just listen to your words then they'll realise how right you are all along even though they're literally and correctly pointing out the only plays you can make when you're malignantly wrong. You have *ALL* the tells of a person who desperately believes ridiculou s nonsense and you can't hide who you really are from me. I know you'll just keep preaching as a response to this hoping desperately that I won't see you for who you really are (I already do!).
      But don't bother. We're through here. I've called your bluff for the pathetic, desperate to believe nonsense and desperate to convince everyone else so you don't have to face knowing deep down that you're wrong for what it truly is. You can lie to yourself and tell yourself and others whatever they or you need to hear to buy into your con. But not me. Don't bother responding to me anymore because I won't read anything else you have to say. I've given you *PLENTY* of opportunity to present more than the mindless script you can *ONLY* ever recite in this ridiculous recruiting mission you pretend that you're on. But we both know the only reason why you need to recruit others is because those of us who see your religion of bullshit spoil the fund and remind you of how desperate and pathetic your need to believe crap that you obviously don't really believe. You just want to believe. How do I know? Because like I said all you have is the same pathetic script over and over again and I'm done humoring you.
      I've sat you down and explained to you *HOW* I know you're full of shit and your only response is to just keep preaching. Well we're done here. Conversation's over. Don't bother replying, like I said I won't read it and I'll already know in advance what a desperate pathetic lie it'll be. So just walk away. But you won't. You'll get that last desperate sales pitch in won't you? Perhaps throw in a few empty hell threats for good measure, but it'll be a waste of your time and you'll make nothing but a further fool of yourself. I won't read anything else you have to say so you might as well quit with a shred of dignity.
      Either way. We're done here. Buh bye.
