SUGGESTION: Sontarans vs Klingons Great video very interesting although The Cybermen almost annihilated The Borg in the comic book series Assimilation Squared. The Borg very rarely evolve (except for Picard Season 3) I think it goes to The Cybermen TBH, they change so much it's a pain to keep up with their evolution. If you want to learn more about Cyberman evolution then I suggest a channel called "Chosen Chimp" he does great analysis videos on Cyber Evolution and it's History.
I think I’ve come across it before. I knew there was a comic where they went head to head but I’ve not read it I thought going in cold was best for me to do a match up. Cybermen are one of my favoured who villains though, the hardest choice was do I do the modern ones or the classic cybermen, the struggle was real.
@@NerdWorldEmpire The more I imagine it the more it becomes a defensive war for The Borg and an Offensive war for The Cybermen, usually the defender has a higher kill rate so it becomes more of a war of attrition, The Borg try and burn out The Cybermen numbers but its just impossible, did you know Cybermen can also recruit the dead? Yeah scary, the more they kill the more they recruit. The Borg may have to ask The Federation for help once again.
The Orville got more serious as the series got along. Season 3 new horizons is some of the best sci-fi story telling that I've seen. I say that as a serious star trek fan. When you find time treat yourself or just watch as many clips of that season on youtube as you can.
I’m ashamed to admit this to the world, but I haven’t gotten around to watching the Orville properly I’ve only watched clips and some reviews. My working knowledge of that universe is limited… I’m a little fussy with comedy even stuff I like for example Red Dwarf I don’t revisit it very often. I do wish we’d gotten to see what Seth MacFarlane would have done if he’d been aloud to make the Trek series he wanted to make. Before he went in to create the Orville that is. He has a way of pulling you into a verse he makes I’ve found
There is no argument about "who came first". The Cybermen, by 23 years. The Cybermen made their debut in "The 10th Planet", William Hartnell's final outing as the Doctor in 1966, while the Borg were introduced in Q Who, in Start Trek: The Next Generation in 1989. Also, we shouldn't be equalising. Let the two stand as they should. Additional To pick the "Cybus" version of the Cybermen is to actually cherry pick one of the weakest forms (perhaps second only to the original "10th Planet" Mondasians). I agree, picking a version of the Cybermen is hard, but, to make it 'fair' (as Cybermen where one of the first depictions of cybernetic villans in media, meaning the Borg, coming over 20 years later and able to draw on, amongst others, the Cybermen for inspiration, the version depicted in the Matt Smith story Nightmare in Silver is perhaps more appropriate.
Say could you make a fight between the borg vs the star wars galaxy during the clone wars or the cybermen vs the star wars galaxy during the clone wars
@@Chet_Manly Had a lot of snacks since that post, but I can say that tonight my surprise snack is... a ham sandwich as I just discovered that I'm out of cakes and it's 1am
shame you focused on the Cybus Industries version... personally i think they were a severe downgrade from earlier incarnations.... the most powerful versions, at least weapon and fleet wise were those from the Peter Davidson era to the Sylvester McCoy era.. these cybermen IMO would stand the best chance Vs the Borg... granted the Cybus models could eventually hive mind and evolve defences, their overall offensive abilities remained dependent on limited wrist lasers and close quarter electrocution......
I considered doing a vs of the 2 different era versions but I realised my knowledge of the 80’s era is a little limited by comparison so I don’t think I’d do it the justice it’d deserve

I gave this video a tweet on my Twitter so idk if anyone else will have an opinion on it.
Great video. I wonder what are your thoughts are on the Kaylon.

@@NerdWorldEmpire the 3rd season was the best star trek I've seen in a long time. 😊
I’ve been really lazy about catching up on new universes recently. By the time I watched Dark Matter for example it was already cancelled
@@NerdWorldEmpireIt's hard to keep up. There is so much out there and not enough time to watch it all.

Could be interesting though might be the CIS as I think I’ve got the Sontarans vs the Clone army already down 🤔
