Finally got it up and running. The only delays we had was because we realized we needed some extra parts (I’ll list that below) ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxihMYiJNXcHdbH-7ihymsLz61l7jVyb5O . So we have a loft where our current hvac just couldn’t seem to keep cool during the summer. We have been using a window unit since we bought this house over 6 years ago (all the houses in this neighborhood were built in the 80’s and majority of the houses built like ours use a window unit). I hate window units because they are just so noisy and the one we had really only cools one side of the loft. I had contemplated upgrading our current HVAC, but with all the rising prices these days, it would take years before saving up enough to do that. With the advice of my father-in-law (used to run an HVAC business), he recommended we get an inverter instead. We thought we bought everything we needed, but there were just a few other parts we didn’t anticipate needing (which is what caused most of our delay). My friend and father-in-law did all the work to get it installed and running and now we have nice cool air circulating nicely throughout the entire loft. It is very quiet and even the outside unit is much quieter than our main HVAC unit. Saved ourselves thousands getting this.
I can't thank you enough for your spot-on tutorial. It truly made servicing Daikin i-smile AC a breeze. Keep it up! And for all your Daikin parts needs, look no further than our shop.
I think this video is pretty accurate as far as indoor unit components. But they added steps and missed steps. I would not pull out the fan blades during a basic cleaning, that is probably a once in 5 years step, and only if you can see excessive dirt or mold on it. They also did not use coil cleaner foam and do a rinse. The biggest piece not shown is cleaning the outdoor unit, that simply is using garden hose water to rinse down the dust in the ODU coil.
Wow the newer daikin models are much easier to service than the older ones. Starmex might still be the easiest but I guess daikin at least narrowed the gap.
The switch in your house/apartments fuse box that the AC unit is hooked up to, NOT just turned to "off" (aka standby, with high voltage power arriving in the unit you are cleaning) ). Make sure to test if you flipped the correct breaker and it its really disconnected from your electricity. Dumb way to die.
You need to look for the main power plug connected to the compressor unit, unplug this main power from the power socket the whole AC system power will be disconnected from the main. This is the safe way to work on your AC, switch off the main circuit breaker the neutral and the ground will still be connected to your house's electricity!
yep, must unplug the power or switch it off on breaker, even if power is not turn on, but power cord still connected, there are chance live current still flowing
The mitsubishi electric air con had feature called “easy clean” so just simply remove the louver down then unclip the horizontal louver and wipe it, nowadays they have a new feature called “dual barrier coating” so it should take 10 year to maintenance, so it unable to cleaning the air conditioner easily for most brand
I have been using this YT video to refresh my memory every time i clean my units. However it's getting exhausting for me to continue. I really need to employ your services to clean my units cos no servicing personnel bothers to take down the blower to wash like u do. Can provide your company name etc? I am in Singapore
This is the price for the work! If you want a better cleaning solution you need to pay more or you can do it yourself. Make sure you unplug the main to the compressor unit before you carry out any cleaning work.
Once again Informative video Bon,, In Australia, this type of service would cost between $400-500.. How much would this cost approximately in Singapore?
Currently the vacuum is able to hold about 150 psi when my 3 aircon is turned on and remains stable. The needle does not jump or flicker around. When it runs however the more unit the needle comes down abit.
Removing the fan pulley moves the cooling elements quite a bit. Can the refrigerant lines withstand this in the long run? That looked destructive (from 2:28), with how much movement there the cooling elements were extremely bent to the side just to get the fan coil out.
Hello, why can't I see the drain pipe being cleaned?….The most important thing is to use a high-pressure water jet to flush out the dirt in the small water pipe, because the drain pipe is often easily blocked.
already take out the fan, might as well just wash the coil sekali lah, it's not recommend to dissemble aircond unit many times, can worn out part and break eventually
this is really very basic cleaning. if you want tp be more thorough you should unclog the drain pipe using a wet vacuum. thats usually the cause of most leakages.

Did you wash the evap?
No coils cleaning ?
Where is the part that u vacuum the aircon witht the wet and dry vacuum cleaner?

You didn’t clean the coils??
Thank you for your excellent help. The blower cage was very dirty.

Glad it was helpful!
@@BonMj keep up the good work
Thank you. If I have a Daikin that runs for hours but then suddenly turns off, does that PROBABLE mean it just needs maintenance like this?
Check signal receiver
I like how this indian guy handled it.
How much for the servicing? Thanks
Make sure you turn off mains! I got a shock when touching the right electrical part!
Mains meaning the switch that even turn off the compressor ?

Why they don’t design a simple way to clean these things?!

So you have to call somebody and pay shit ton of money for an easy job
Like Hitachi
Design to fail and get money from you
Like simply table fan jaisa😊
Thank you for this video. It had been very useful !

Can the older Daikin Smile series be disassembled and cleaned the same way?
Thank you. I need to clean the blower wheel!

What year model is this Daikin ac?
Once again Informative video Bon,, In Australia, this type of service would cost between $400-500.. How much would this cost approximately in Singapore?
One aircon unit S$30.
Just a Coca Cola.
if my drain hose is connected to the left of the drain pan, how to do I remove the drain pan?
No problem.
How is the aircon after a few years now
👍
@BonMj because i changed from panasonic to daikin they used daikin original reducer and adapter. Would it cause leak?
Currently the vacuum is able to hold about 150 psi when my 3 aircon is turned on and remains stable. The needle does not jump or flicker around. When it runs however the more unit the needle comes down abit.
Hi sir, i did follow your steps and everything. But now the problem is my air is not cold enough and the airflow not smooth. Any advice?
May the evaporator coil choke, suggest chemical cleaning
hi sir, im looking for a more quiet ac. is daikin i smile more quiet than mitubishi starmex?
Mitsubishi Starmex.
But not recommend using quiet mode.
Отличный видео ролик. Большое спасибо.
Thanks

Normal process. This the only method.
I do that to my Mitsubishi Starmex as well. It’s normal.
Hello, why can't I see the drain pipe being cleaned?….The most important thing is to use a high-pressure water jet to flush out the dirt in the small water pipe, because the drain pipe is often easily blocked.
Hi Bon, some of the starmex drain pan had this black tape. Do you know what it is for?
I don't get it, you said don't wash filter but in the video that was the filter that the guy is washing correct?
Is PM 2.5 filter.
Normal aircon filter is washable.
Are you a Daikins own technician?

Daikin this model not user friendly for servicing
Wanted to get a Daikin AC and a friend told me the same thing as well, but the blower fan looks much easier to remove compare to my current Acson AC.
Star Mex easier to clean... Thank daikin.
