Amazingly detailed video! Thanks! I plan to do this (have 3 of these units). Two are placed close to wall on the left side - do you recon I can remove the fan without having more than 2-3 cm (about 1 inch) on the left side? I assume I will need to pull out the drain pan out of the way and remove it downwards - it should work I hope.
If wall is close to the left side, it is unfortunately not possible to remove fan. You need special trickery to do it in that case and best left to professional. Sometimes it is possible to forcibly lift radiator element upwards enough, but as the piping connections are super fragile, this can lead to disaster and destruction.
Drain tray cannot be removed at all. Blower comes out without touching right side, it is magically simple actually as it magnetically coupled only. One of the easiest models in the world to service by far. We are going to make better more in depth look at this particular indoor model.
@@ilmalampopumput thanks for replying, I wanted to clean the blower and the drain tray , but if the drain train can't be removed how do I clean it ? With water jet spray? After removing the ductless ? And I'm looking forward to your video on the model , hope you included how to remove the blower in a part without touching the right side at all and how to clean the drain tray . The model I have is ftkc48uv16w.
@@Rickyparmar14That particular model is unknown to me and it might have differences to what is shown here, but when tray cannot be removed the left side of radiator is usually lifted slightly and with a good steam cleaner get some results. Remove the finger stops from fan outlet to gain better access to the reverse side with a rag.
White plastic cover has to be removed and then you remove screws from left side of heat exchanger so you can lift it. Wheel axle is held with small plastic plug on left side, you remove it by disengaging the locking lip with small screw driver and carefully pulling the plug assembly outwards. Wheel comes out very easily after that by lifting and pulling towards left. Daikin has very good fan mechanism in this regard. For spare parts you need to contact local Daikin dealer or contacting trough Daikin country specific website.
@@ilmalampopumput Thank you for the reply! Last question or 2. Do you need to switch off the gas? How long do you think it will take to replace from start to finish?

This is a video showing someone pulling an air-conditioner apart. Its not in any way attempting to educate the viewer as to how it should be done. About as helpful as watching a pilot fly an aeroplane, and then expecting the viewer to do it.
No, it showed just enough to get to the blower wheel which is usually the main point for a normal home user to clean out as it is hard to reach without taking it out.
This is great, i have the same unit which i can now have a go at dismantling for a clean. that's for showing all clear.
Merci beaucoup pour ce que vous faites Monsieur
How did you take out the piece at 3:16? And what's the model of this unit?
It has a small retaining hook and will release with a flathead screwdriver (yank it out). Same construction with comfora and sensira.

thanks friend, managed to save about 300€. nice video
Do we need to remove the circuit board just to remove the drain tray and the blower?

Heating and air company quoted me $300 to clean the fan. One UA-cam video later the fan is clean. Thank you
Thanks for the video, very helpful and easy to follow.
Thanks for the video, it was quite helpful.
Can you show a dismantle of Daikin smile series CTKS25QVM for the drain pan and coil ? Thanks
It is probably exactly the same construction as this.
Is it easier to just remove the blower wheel? mine broke and I need to replace it. also, where can I buy the wheel?

It is not coming out, fixed part of the back structure.
Ma per smontare un modello ftxs2d3vmw daikin?
Thank you!!!!!!
