Thanks for the clear and complete instructions. I had no idea what a wrapped double crochet stitch was. Like other commenters I want to make the pocket shawl and was confused about the wrapped stitch. Now I'm ready to go. Subscribed.
This is the first comment I have ever left! I have watched years of tutorials and this morning several about this stitch. This video is so easy to follow. You are very clear, used a solid yarn color for better viewing and just over all perfect! Thank you for this! I promised a shawl to someone and was stressed about this stitch, but not anymore.
Nice simple demonstration. I'm about to make the pocket shawl and couldn't quite get it from the written instructions, although I have been crocheting and reading patterns over 55 years! Thanks!
Perfect tutorial ! Thank you very much . I have one question . When I want to do a regular row after a wrapped crochet row how I need to do it please? I am not sure we’re I need to put my crochet hook for a single crochet row after . Thank you so much for your help
I’ve been trying to make this pocket shawl for years but couldn’t figure it out. This tutorial explains it so much better than the pattern. THANK YOU! Do know if there is a way to correct a missed unwrapped double crochet from the previous row while working the current row above it? I have to keep ripping out when I forget one. Not sure it’s possible, but would love to know if there’s a way. Thank you!
I am trying to make a pocket shawl, but when I wrap the stitches and skip every other one, I get fewer stitches and the shawl curls up. What am I doing wrong?
This is different from the back post st. I'm having trouble with count on pockets, doing the wrapped DC in the shawl & ending up with 28 or 29 any way I work it. Pattern says shld be 30. Even her swatch here went down in count. How can I correct this in the pattern?? Anyone else run into this? My pattern is by Sonja Hood. (Who I can't find anywhere)
On the first floor we got 7 double wrapped stitches, and in the next floor they became 6 stitches. It's a problem, we'll get a hierarchical shape at the end of the shawl.

Such a great tutorial, thank you! Your yarn looks so soft and wonderful; do you remember what kind it was?

Are the stitches stacked or is the next row in the skipped stave of the previous row?
I found the answer! Lol!
Isn't this same as back post Double crochet? So it would read - BPDC around DC just made ? Anyone else?
