I will go with Accenture , reason for that is: When we make decision to switch we should consider all the factors, weather its package, role, technologies etc. including the case of onsite opportunity. If I am really interested in onsite opportunity I will myself ask for it or negotiate for it before resigning not accepting it after resigning .
It all depends on the person's priorties. One must weigh in pros and cons. I had been in similar situation and went for onsite option. It took 3 months for the visa to be processed and I managed to fly. However, we lost that account in next 6 months when SoW was to be signed and almost entire onshore team travelled back offshore. Having said this, in terms of decision, one should think of one's comfort level in the project, how the manager and overall team is, how good is onsite manager. If there is toxic environment in the project, manager is a pestering one, then there is no room for any negotiation for me, just serve the notice period and wait for farewell. On the other hand, if one is knowledgeable and comfortable in the project, the manager is trustworthy and genuine and as you have mentioned in the video if he has a specific plan in mind, then there may not be harm in accepting onsite offer. But always be ready for the worst case possibility that there is every chance that it may not work out. It's a calculated risk.
I have lived and worked in multiple countries and now settled in India. What I realised is that If you have talent and work hard you can be successful anywhere in the world. When I started my career there used to be huge differences between India and abroad. Building careers was easier abroad and salary was much higher. Things have changed now. Not only salary has increase drastically in India (at least in tech industry), work culture and quality of work is quite similar in India nowadays. Many of my friends working in FAANG and other Big Tech companies in India are earning > 50LPA (in some cases over 1CR). They are not really interested to go to "onsite". Some working abroad at senior level in MNCs even took internal transfer and came back to India.
Now a days in India candidate who has experienced 5 yrs, getting package of 20 lakhs ..for such handsome salary its better to stay in India. Here growth opportunities are more , on site salary hike is negligible and after come back again need to work on old salary

One thing that prompts me to watch your video apart from your content presentation, is the length of your videos.. which are never more than 10 mins. 👍
The main problem behind the 'Indian' ideology is the word 'Onsite' itself. What is the need to work FROM a foreign country just for the sake of it if you can work from home? In case you have a particular expertise that is highly sought after in a foreign country and you have a mindset to work IN a foreign country, then why not work with an employer there directly? Why would someone want to fall at the feet of all these so called managers in India and beg for onsite? Or why would someone fall for an onsite offer in the situation as mentioned here in this video? This happens only to people who do not possess any real differentiating skillset in their domain but still want to work from out of India for the 'money' and other perks it offers. After all, it is each individual's choice where they want to work, it should not be dictated or controlled by other people. To make this happen there needs to be some leverage within oneself, which is the differentiating skillset. Before I get shot down for the above comment, I am a manager in a western country and I work for an MNC based out of this country and I am paid really well, way more than what one would get for the typical 'Onsite'. I did not go onsite, rather, I was interested in moving out of India due to personal reasons. With my observations of the outer world while working in the 'assembly line' called Indian IT industry, I figured out what was needed to be considered by foreign employers and I worked towards enhancing that. Later when the time was right, I showcased my skills and was invited to work for this company, needless to say, I am quite satisfied with the outcome. Please do note, no begging or grovelling involved, I made my own path. It was not even an interview, rather it was a discussion between the company and myself on how I can help them achieve their objectives and how I expect them to support me towards my goal. No person of Indian origin was involved in my discussions and that probably contributed to them recognising and accepting my value proposition (I do not intend to stereotype).

It should be noted that not everyone at onsite needs to be regarded as talented nor those working at offshore are dumb. While I respect the fact that you took pain in showcasing your skills and finding a foreign employer , you need to accept the fact that everyone gets great opportunities. Luck plays a major role in finding the best projects and technology. There are many who have come onsite by begging managers but some have carved a path for themselves and switched companies and jobs at onsite. In your case , you did it from offshore , but for those who did not get an opportunity at offshore they have to take this route to succeed. At the end of the day , if the person is really talented and deserving then there is no harm in begging for an onsite Before you shot me down with your comments , I wish to say that I have spent over 10 years at onsite and have come here without begging my manager. Always go for money(if experience is less than 10 years of experience)
I am no way connected to IT, but in a similar situation like this, I will go with Accenture. The reason is not only the money which I will be getting as a hike, but also, the journey in the new company may also give another opportunity to to work On-site (I assume this is client base somewhere in a foreign country or on a reputed project). The new job came to me based on my skills, competencies and experience and is a direct measure of my success...projects will definitely come as long as I contribute to the organization. My skills, competencies are directly measured (and compensated) through the monetary benefits I receive, so if these are marked and offered, I will accept and grow further in Accenture! Now will watch the remaining part of video!
Nowadays only if you stay in the company for more than 5 yrs they consider you to send onsite. If you join in a new company there is no chance you will get onsite opportunity sooner due to internal politics. The old employees of the Accenture wouldn't let you go since they themselves are waiting for a long time.

@CareerTalk you hit the nail going to onsite in USA and earning in dollar make sense unless your package is not more than 50 lpa in INDIA . Even i feel in india competition is very high to earn high package of 50 lap as developer / technical specialist is very rare this same job can be easly acheived in USA or UK. There they dont slog a lot work only from 9 am to 6 pm , on other hand in india we earn only 25 lpa and do meeting and clients call is going beyond 8 pm or more
If you have never lived in a developed country, take the on-site offer (after confirming it is legit). It might set your life’s course and not just career. I happened to go on-site within the first year of my career. 3 more countries and 2 decades later, I am thankful I did take the first opportunity. If you have lived in a developed country before and you want to live there longer, you need to take control of your destiny. I work in Indian company based in Mumbai. Last year I landed a descent job offer. My delivery head gave me a counter offer along with onsite opportunity. I knew onsite was bluff. But I accepted the lucrative counter offer and stayed back.

I will go with second company coz First company offered me on-site after starting discussions for resignation, if I would not decided to resign I would not given the opportunity for on-site. Can't stay in a company where you get opportunity only when you threat resignation.
Sometimes, companies especially forced employees to go abroad with the ill intention to retain employee based on foriegn travel bonds.., I have seen people struggled with such unethical bonds to restrict the leaving companies and spent 2-3 years with low salary hike 3-4%., Even though actual inflation in India is generally more than 6%.., REALITY IS BITTER TRUTH..,
This is a subjective decision depending on your age, priorities and family circumstances. Yes, if you get a email confirmation with all on-site details from your manager and his manager in loop, that’ll provide me a certain confidence. If your manager isn’t willing to cut that email, I would recommend to go with Accenture offer. Also, people sent on-site are paid less than people who are directly recruited. And obviously, the expenses are on the higher side. And if you’re married and planning to bring in your spouse/kids, research on opportunities in their field. So make a calculated decision on financial front.
Also, as someone who worked in India for a few years and in EU for over an year, I would highly recommend people to prioritise an English speaking country. Culture is completely different from India and it is very hard to build relations abroad. (Yes you’ll have Indian communities).
I would choose Accenture with 10Lacs.. Because first it raises question on integrity of previous employer, that they are only able to see the worth after resigning? Also they are not 100% guaranteed that I will get onsite.. also what the salary I will get and which country will go or for what duration will I go.. so best is go with Accenture. There also you can go onsite if project demands
Verbal or written and officially signed promise? Verbal promise has no weight in the corporate grievance cases. So its better to pick the Accenture offer.
Hi sir..your information and knowledge is helping youths like us..Thank you so much for this channel.I question to ask is can you please do video on " freelancing when he/she is working for a company"?
I would prefer only if TCS give me in written that it will be long term on site opportunity . Since short term and without commitment it would be not good option. Always go with option were you can trust the employer. Onsite these days are not good as there is not much saving. Specially if you married or having kids. Stay in India with INR and enjoy your social life and better saving.
@careertalk what do you suggest if TCS is giving email confirmation on onsite opportunity.. I have it & also having offer from Accenture.. Need suggestion..
I have known folks who stick to the same company and take on-site with family for a couple of years...I would take the Accenture route...you get noticed only in notice period 😂

sir I got tcs digital offer(7 lpa) but only offer letter on sep 17 2024 no joining yet and accenture ase(4.5 lpa) and joining on oct 23 what should i prefer?
Offer 11.5 lpa aprox. Current 6lpa in current company. If i ask manager to increase my CTC, so i am assuming, now my current ctc is 8Lpa. What should now i can do ? Remain in the same company with 8lpa Or join a New company.
Yes jayasri, you may get Onsite opportunity with 2 plus years of experience. It depends on visa guidelines though. Some countries require a minimum experience and education qualification.
@CareerTalk. I was verbally told about onsite in tcs for a telecom account of Australia and a bank in London. But I switched to Infosys with a salary hike of 50%. Also they did not provide any specific details of salary for a web developer of 7.5y experience Did I make the right move?

If your manager isn’t willing to cut that email, I would recommend to go with Accenture offer. Also, people sent on-site are paid less than people who are directly recruited. And obviously, the expenses are on the higher side. And if you’re married and planning to bring in your spouse/kids, research on opportunities in their field. So make a calculated decision on financial front.
Also, as someone who worked in India for a few years and in EU for over an year, I would highly recommend people to prioritise an English speaking country. Culture is completely different from India and it is very hard to build relations abroad. (Yes you’ll have Indian communities).
Thanks for sharing your experience and tips Rahul. Appreciate it 🙌
Yes, very well said Rahul 🙌
Client side experience matters , I preferred TCS Onsite when I was in similar situations
My company sends for onsite not more than 3 month max and put bond for one more year and next time when you resign they will have a backup
I will wait for onsite if my salary is above 10Lpa currently..if they didn't send for 2 years I will switch to new job with good hike
My thoughts, if staying in india you get good amount why to go onsite,,
I will go with Accenture..
Thanks reddisekharpamula for sharing your thoughts 🙌
I have known folks who stick to the same company and take on-site with family for a couple of years...I would take the Accenture route...you get noticed only in notice period 😂
I have offer letter from both tcs and Accenture
Accenture 4.5 lpa
Tcs 7 lpa
I got joining from Accenture
But tcs still didn't gave any information about joining
Should I wait for tcs or join Accenture
Hi i got offer from start up at 6.4 currently I am at CTS 4.8 should I switch?
Nope. Upskill, wait for right market and target atleast 10lak
Would it be possible to share your thoughts on onsite opportunities during later stage of your life, like in your 40s?
Go for it.
Sir will you provide personal career counseling?
Will go ahead with the new offer, a bird in hand is better than 2 in the bush
sir I got tcs digital offer(7 lpa) but only offer letter on sep 17 2024 no joining yet and accenture ase(4.5 lpa) and joining on oct 23 what should i prefer?
Offer 11.5 lpa aprox.
Current 6lpa in current company.
If i ask manager to increase my CTC, so i am assuming, now my current ctc is 8Lpa.
What should now i can do ?
Remain in the same company with 8lpa
Or join a New company.
In my view if money is priority for you then 11.5 is still a lot more than 8 lpa. If there are other factors or priorities then consider those as well
Always higher salary not a fantasty trip how can we blindly trust managers 😮😮 it can be a goli also na
Tcs 9.4 package and 13.5 new offer , should stay in TCS for promotion and Europe onsite or go with new offer ?
What did you do?
Whar have u done? I am in same situation
@@ichedana8506 left TCS
Is it any chances we will get onsite opportunity less than 3 years experience
Yes jayasri, you may get Onsite opportunity with 2 plus years of experience. It depends on visa guidelines though. Some countries require a minimum experience and education qualification.
I will stay in TCS to get tech lead roles
I got an offer from accenture with 17L+ , Current salary in tcs 8L+ , Is it good to join accenture ?
Hey brother what have you decided to do? I am in a similar situation like yours
Hi , please let me know what you have decided
Plz let me know I am also in same situation
@CareerTalk. I was verbally told about onsite in tcs for a telecom account of Australia and a bank in London. But I switched to Infosys with a salary hike of 50%.
Also they did not provide any specific details of salary for a web developer of 7.5y experience
Did I make the right move?
I have Capgemini 4.25 jl and tcs 3.36 jl which company is best to join.
Tcs if you are unmarried.
I would go for Accenture before that i confirm with my manager nd all
Can i get on-site opportunity and are they rwally considering my request if they dont respond well with specific response then will talk about my offer about Accenture
Though they will now say i wil send onsite or give hike but i can confront them jst few mins back not possible not its a different game play how come..😅
And to be frank we all wnt money so which gives big bucks we go but that doesn't we can go for something it got waiting period, no defined country , not sure of hw many mnths or years , are they really going to give chance aftd waiting fro 6-1year
Whn they cant give hike more than 6-10% every year
I NEVER STAY IN THE SAME COMPANY
Negotiate with Accenture fr onsite...
Dont fall for this onsite trap... your advance ment is not tied up to onsite
Onsite only, can switch there and mint in dollars..
Mint in dollars 💯💯💯 Love that line Praveenkumar 🙂🙂🙂
Onsite opportunity is trap in tcs.
Next company you get more skills ..
NEVER accept a counter offer - it makes you a target going forward
Never accept a counter offer .
onsite
Accenture
I take accenture
Thanks for your answer Rakesh 🙌
I would never work for Indian based IT companies, they lack professionalism
Don't trust managers
10 lakh from accenture is far better. They offer wfh
Does that mean all days of the week is WFH ???. NO OFFICE GOINH AT ALL ...
@@Bikermanic it depends on the project
