By the way, I'm not sponsored by DCS or anything, but this aircraft is free to play, compared to the FA/18 that is $80 (HNNNGGGG)
Definitely suggest trying out the frogfoot!
I'm new to Arma 3 CAS and I'm looking for an instructor to teach me about multiplayer CAS and how to accurately provide it. Do you know anyone that can help me with that?
But now you must fly the original SU-25 in STORMOVIK: SU-25 the DOS flight simulator from 1990 and do a comparison. It really was a fun game back in the day! You had to keep the instruction book so you could read the Russian password to log in each time. Ahh the good ol' days of fighting off the NATO dogs in my trusty SU-25
@@isaacgibbs8700 What specifically is your problem area, or do you just not know how to do it?
@@ethanchan2491 Mainly defensive flying, but I've also had trouble with GBU alignment when when I'm trying to disable anti-air.
i bought the A-10C ... it was a bad decision for my first plane but if u put the effort in its well worth :D

If you ever want to transition to the A-10C in the future, the paint workshop is going to get nutz. I can promise you that.
Ooooooohhh😲😄
I was about to suggest he should try the A-10C but nevermind now. The Master has spoken xD
Yes pls. I would even pay for Ralfidude's paint workshop
Do you have the video on the stuff you taught him?
Are you going to post more sh*ts and giggles, I almost have the entire series memorized now!
“And So You Can See How This Was Starting To Get A Little Complicated”
Drew: “YeAh”
This guy is such a good teacher. You can tell he loves this game.
I know! He was so passionate
Dcs warld
Ralfidude is the best
*Simulator*
Shut up
the edit where you keep saying "mhm, mhm" while he explained tactics was hilarious!
Sounded like a chat with a boring npc from fallout 4
Press x to skip dialogue
You were flying over Caucasus mountains. Thats the exact region I live in, and we've had a SU-25 wing based in my hometown. Like, right across the road from my home.
So I was waking up to the sound of their engines :D
GGs
I don’twhy but I thought you said “we have a SU-25 wing in my town so when I wake up I get to hear the engine, I was very confused
@sa oef Russian
That's sick man! I would love to eye a froggy myself. Such a cool plane!
@@nicksonassailant8480 which airbase do you live close to?

@GMetzo lol I don't mind, I'm just hazing
Unplugged my headphones the other night so my wife could hear. She's like "wtf.. Put the headset back on plz"
@GMetzo Don't mute it, every time I play DCS BEEP is my favorite music.
@GMetzo Why would you?
When is that
Another good thing in the Froggy is that it shares a lot of avionics with the Mig-29 and Su-27 so having the same key instruments and HUD composition, those FC3 birds will make one feel home right off the bat. :D

* Drewski Gets Letter for being drafted in ww3*
It's time to conclude the trilogy.
@@eillswim Don't seem to understand the concept. If America and Iran fought, allies from both sides would probably fight as well as both are superpowers.(sort of) Just like America joining England and Russia to fight Germany. The world gets involved hence "world war."
@@eillswim it certainly does, seeing as the entire fucking planet is americas bitch
Finally the final game!! The Vietnam war was a total flop!
@@eillswim You might want to look into the NATO countries that have come out in support of the US. Around 12. There's 5 other super-powers in bed with Iran. This is a world war. You nugget.
Please upload all the explaining on paint app and on the ground. Would like too see and learn something new from these, also, I guess the new DCS "pilots" would learn so much from these learning videos. It was a huge struggle to start playing DCS as I didn't have any friends, who are good at it. Reading DCS manuals and trying everything by myself was so hard, that I almost lost my motyvation to even play this game. So I guess 1-2 hours of not cropped video would help new players a lot. Btw love your vids.
I endorse this. Seems like good theory we couod use.
or just look up dcs tutorials
Does Ralfidude charge for training sessions?
I would love to see the paint walkthroughs too.
I wish Drewski could post his lessons given by Ralphie bc I feel It would help many newcomers to DCS and people wanting to get an understanding of the frog foot.
Yeeeees i love the frogfoot it is such a underrated and fun aircraft
Frogfoot is anything but underrated
M M It is very much underrated in the eyes of the public, even in my history class about warfare no one had ever even heard of the Frogfoot
Its a lot of fun to take out ground targets but the constant beeping from everywhere is a little annoying and the climb rate is dreadful due to the scooter engines powering those fans
Everyone knows the A-10 but hardly anyone seems to know the Frogfoot, it's one of my favorite aircraft next to the Krokodil (Mi-24)
its trash
That's crazy that games like this exist, so much technical knowledge required.
Great to learn
"Yeah, Mhm, Yeah, Yes.." - I love Ground School!
I suspect that Ralfi has recommended the use of the friction slider on the throttle for the zoom function. That spasm of the camera is something that happened to me as well when I used that slider. I would instead recommend binding the zoom in slow and zoom out fast function to a button on either the throttle or the stick.
Since childhood as a russian teenager, the SU-25 was one of my favorite aircraft. Really excited to see a reality-close simulation of how it actually feels like to ride this thing. Awesome!
Ground lessons with ralfi:
Ralfi: did you understand everything?
Drew: Yeah yeah dont worry
*crashes into trees 30minutes into flight.*
He got hit, lost one engine and stalled due to loss of thrust. Do you think this is easy?
@@baer0083 of course not, its still funny xD
I bet tree avoidance wasn’t part of the brief
@@scottl9660 but ralfi should know that its important considering we already saw him a couple of time scratching treelines in both su25 and a10
@@julianviefers6703 Scratching treelines is part of the fun, common guys! :D
Drew, there's a mod for the Su-25T that gives you clear hud glass, getting rid of the baked in textures. And it's allowed in multiplayer servers as well.
its so cool how you're chilling and revising your info and all of a sudden "oh shi, we finna DIE baby!" and I love how you two reacted so well to it, just absolutely amazing
Love the frogfoot, such a versatile tankbuster.
You have two types of antiradiation missiles on the Grach. The ones on the innermost puylons are much heavier and have much longer range (over 100km if you fly high and fast enough). Pro tip is - fire those first, so that not only can you start the engagement from a larger distance, but also you can shed some of that weight off quicker, and thus you become faster and more manouverable
The Range is actually rediculous on those. Me and my buddies would lob them from 300km away and still hit.
@@Chrinikyou can fire russian a/g missles from far larger range than computer allows and still get consistent hits
So cool. Love DCS. Started it cause of your vids and I am currently mastering the f-15c eagle with my new hotas. Love this game. Thanks for showing it to me😍
I started DCS a few months ago and I am addicted. Every day you improve even a little bit is a huge success. Love it!
Drew should play more of this
I love these DCS videos man keep it up
You know ... you should have probably dropped those extremely heavy and super draggy missiles when you lost one of your engines.
I'm pretty sure the Frogfoot can fly just fine on one engine but not when carrying once again its weight in missiles.
Flaps might also help with clearing mountains at super-low speed
also shutting down the good engine is not too good to keep the altitude...
I wish Ralfidude would post more often but I will gladly come here as well
Hay Drew, I love watching all your videos in Arma 3 Apex and DCS. I'm a 60+ year old US Navy Disabled Veteran and I'm having a hard time setting up my Thrustmaster HOTAS Throttle and Stick my son just bought for me. If you could make a video showing a little bit about setting it up in arms 3 for Helo that would be great. Thanks for all your videos.
I’m sure if you search you can find a tutorial
Both of ya'll vidy's are EXCELLENT! Fun and tremendous teaching, Ty : )
Two of my favourite UA-camr, what a mix! Can there be a flip side where Drewski runs Ralfi through something?
Nice video man. really brings me back to the Lo-Mac days, the predecessor of DCS. The Su-25T was added in Flaming Cliffs and was such a major improvement over anything else. Better flight model. And modern system, damage model etc.
Had so much fun with the 169th_Panthers :D
If you're flying Western team, there's a cockpit translation and trainer skin you can get to make things a little more understandable
I love the style of your videos great editing and the balance of realism and fun if perfect.
"alright which one of you frogfoots stole my lolipop"
Edit: The Frogfoot you're in is slow probably because you are packing a full load. Full ordinance load will weigh a jet down A LOT.
I still dream of a DCS: SU 25 Full Module
The Tokyo Drift references were amazing hahaha. This is making me wanna kick back into DCS world now that I got my Oculus and HOTAS set up again.... So many hours to get used to a new HOTAS....
*America orders an airstrike on Iran and is potentially going to cause WW3*
"OperatorDrewski uploaded a new video: My first low level airstrike"
Uh... Drewski?
@World War II Footage attacking Iran could involve Russia which would bring in China which would make us bring in nato which is a world war
@The Soviet URAA!! Battle Charge Well cheers for the obvious answer captain obvious.
@@ctrlaltdelicious5098 those comments can be very annoying to see lmao. The obvious ones that is XD
Quick tip: notice in the bottom right of your HUD you can see "25". This means you had the Kh-25 ARM version selected. This is a relatively short range ARM. On your inboard weapons stations you had much longer range Kh-58 ARMs loaded. You could have launched them from much longer range which would have let you launch from outside the engagement range of the SA-6 SAMs.
Low level ground attack is where it's at! I've been flying the Harrier for years now and while using it as intended is still pretty fun, nothing quite beats screaming in towards a target at >50ft agl to lob sidearms at an SA-10 at point blank range and that's pretty much all I do now.
I suspect at some point I may just turn into a Viggen pilot and never fly more than an inch off of the ground but honestly that cockpit intimidates me.
Yes! More DCS!
Nice edit leaving the radio chat on. Its cool to listen to as a regular DCS player.
I’ve had a pretty good day so far but this was just awesome, thanks for the DCS.👍🏼
I would love the full video :D
Thinking of picking this game up and that theory and flight school would be nice to see / have. :D
In my hometown. There is a "dogfight training school" where i get to see planes like this take off and tbh it's hella cool.
You livin' in Miramar? ;)
@@DonHuanDaKilla Algeria actually
Such a calm instructor! I know he's a UA-camr, but he could give DCS lessons on the side.
This was a great video, loved the suspense
When you have one engine down try ejecting all the weapons pilons, it will make you lighter and help flying with one engine
Hey Drewski, Ralfi, I'm loving these vids! Please keep flying together, you guys are fun to watch.
There are cockpit mods available for the Frogfoot which remove the glare from the HUD Glass. If you google "DCS User Files" and then search for "Su-25T HUD Clear" you'll find mods for both Russian and English cockpits with the glare removed.
You basically just download the folder and extract it into your DCS Saved Games folder: .../saved games/dcs.openbeta/liveries/Cockpit_Su-25T/
Then start up your game and you can select the cockpit from Settings -> Special -> Su-25T. You'll see a dropdown for it.
Makes a world of difference!
"КУБ" is for "CUBE", not "KY6")
KY6
Ky6
Кей уай сикс
And ОСА or оса is Russian Osa ("Wasp") radar.
Trevor Phillips but its a b.... ббб666
That was super cool & the music was on point!
loved the music, too! awesome stuff, guys!
In the video you were asking about how to get rid of the "kill notifications" on left side of screen. There is a check-box in the settings page which you can un-check and they will not show up. I don't fly with them as well. I prefer the fog of war as to whether I was successful or now.
I love the "yeah" montage. We need this more!
loved the comms of the friendly fighter being informed about some enemies going for you two
Hey Drew, I know you might not see this as this is an older video, but I love the DCS content you put out. It's informational, and exciting all at the same time. I would really like to get into DCS and other flight sim style games, but I have troubles visualizing what parts of the cockpit people are referencing when they talk about certain gauges or switches. Seems like a few times in your newer vids, you patch this up and make great visuals in post, so it's easy to see what someone is referencing, but sometimes I get lost still. Like when Ralfi mentions the strength of the radar signal at 22:58, just a little arrow or circle to point out which area I'm supposed to be looking at, would help tremendously. Thanks man, keep up the great content :D
That first part was hilarious with the fast and furious germans XD
25:32 - when he said defensive and the Music intensivies...damn...
I usually don’t like dcs videos compared to tarkov or squad but this was hilarious.
Such a nice guy teaching Drewski...
Love the video. Just did this training mission myself.
I think Ralfi and you should upload those teaching parts in Paint as a full video, at least for the SU-25T, as it is probably the first plane of most people
Loved the preflight briefing @operatordrewski
This kinda content is what love watching!
Loving your DCS content. Please make a playlist for them so I don't miss any?
This is a very accurate game. Impressive. I’m actually more impressed though on how knowledgeable that guy is on missile engagements, and warfare.
Drewsky I love these videos. Please make some more
As a new DCS-er, I of course got the Frogfoot and the Mustang trainer with the download. At first I was like "no way I am wasting my time with this low fidelity keyboard only plane. Onto the F-16! But once I got all the important commands bound to my stick and throttle, I became enamored with the Frogfoot and even though I have all the expensive high fidelity models, I still find myself in the Frogfoot more and more. Just because the cockpit is not interactive, all the gauges work like they should and once you get the commands down, it's an awesome weapon truck. Love it!
enjoyed the vally mission with the cool music. makes me want to try dcs
I love Drew’s Arma Videos, especially his flying ones, I wish he’d post more like this
Yeah i like how the plane works in battlefield 3
Куб is "Kub" (koob). It means "cube" and was the Soviet designation for the 2K12 SAM (NATO designation SA-6 Gainful).
I don't know if you intended this to serve as a guide for others to learn from, but it's great that way.
I personally love the su-25t, it has so many features and it is super capable
Great video. I wonder if you'll do a video where you have a bigger flight group when you are more familiar with aircraft.
Ralphie is very patient pretty cool guy
I did some VR with DCS, and it was mindblowingly fun.
8:12 this is pretty cool to hear you mention PATRIOT, I actually work in a PATRIOT unit haha
the music is so intense I love it!
17:38 You get your chute back upon re-arming. Might have changed in an update between then & now, idk.
Anyone : information
Drew: yes
Awesome Vid🍻👍👏
Man, those pre-baked reflections on the gunsight are nasty. IDK how we used to play these games back in the day.
I don't know what are the procedures for an engine fire on a frogfoot, but many aircraft ask lowering the engine on fire to idle, if it doesn't help, shut the engine off, if it stops you can try to start it again after sometime, and see if the fire has gone away for good. And if none of these help, you can use the fire extinguisher to make it go away, on business jets there's 2 of them for each engine, generally.
hay captian drewsk your uploads are the best you rock regards pete
Looks sick @OperatorDrewski
Please upload the full unedited clip of ralphidude teaching about the SU 25T and SAM sites, much appreciated!
You should upload all the ground school stuff for all of us getting into DCS to learn.
Love it!!!
OMG, this is intense, even though nothing happening im still at the edge of my seat xD
Any chance on releasing the complete series and hours AND hours of training with Ralfidude? Thought I would ask anyway. ;P
Try turning off the LED's on your Warthog Throttle.
That way you'll get rid of the jitter in your zoomaxis. Its really worth it so give it a try.
PS : Great video, keep it up!
PPS: Theres a tweak to the SU25's HUD glass on the DCS user files section. According to the author it passes the integrity check for MP so you might want to give that one a go aswell.
Wow I've got vibes from 2003 when I was a kid with that frogfoot alert sound
I love that livery you got on there
as much as minor correction goes: the КУБ is "KUB", which is actually the SA-6, and despite also being a tracked platform, is not the Tunguska (SA-19)
LOVING this content!!! Been playing DCS for years now and have not succeeded in this level of immersion. I'd really like to know which server you are flying on and how you are hearing the air chatter from other players.
They are using Simple Radio, its a third party tool that is excellent and a must have for MP servers.
@@brendanmcveigh3104 Thanks Brendan! I found it and have it installed now. Been going over the best method to set it up and start joining the servers who use it like hoggit.
3:09 as a Mustang owner who has been in a Camaro seeing you agree with the problem is 👍
