The charm is called the striker, looks like the striker, and gives you a passive 8% increase to your movespeed
i mean honestly, as fun as the dittman charm can be, even with changed spawns to some things, it's great to get awarded for seeking stuff in the "old" spawnpoints even though some keys etc were removed or moved slightly... and honestly, for me, the best moments were the most stupid ones pretty early - the man on the shitter and more importantly the E G G in the oven... though.. was a bit sad to see the first two big cheese cutscenes spliced into one even though i understand it was done because of the different layout
Utter chaos. I love how he dodges all the bear traps that wouldn't really make his situation worse, but damn near hits every bear trap that would make his situation worse lmao.
I love how they creatively made the game even better of an action title with all the knife tricks but still kept it very butt clenchingly intense and a little scary. They also added a ton of things that completely surprise people like me who've played the original like 100 times and have me on my toes. Excellent remake so far about halfway in

RE2 Remake was fuckin awesome too. RE3make definitely wasn’t up to par, lacking replayability like RE2 but wasn’t horrible like most people say. Capcom honestly has been on a fucking ROLL in the last couple years. Only real fumble was Umbrella Corps and looking like RE:Verse might be another big flop but at least that’s free to play. I have big hopes for the future of Resident Evil and if we ever get a Code: Veronica remake, I’m hoping they make BIG changes so it can stand toe to toe with the other incredible remakes so far.

in the original, if you just run into the 2nd house on the left with the Shotgun above the fireplace, it gives you an entire cutscene where the zombies surround the house, and it barricaded the windows and door if im not mistaken. i used to just rush the house, take the shotgun upstairs, and blast everything. chainsaw gannado was the only thing that can tank the shots

I'm roughly 3 hours in and I can already tell this is one of the best games ever made. The original was a top 5-10 game ever imo and this one does make some crazy changes but its so tight and well constructed.
Making the church puzzle so much harder was totally unnecessary but other than that and the fact scopes still take up space in your inventory, this has been an actual upgrade and an incredible ride thus far. I’m just over half way through at the castle and I’ve had to make myself slow down, gotta savour the moment😁

There's something unique Capcom has been doing with their resident evil releases that needs more acknowledgement in my opinion The newer remakes and their resident evil games in general have had a trend of really short announcement to release gaps, and once the game reaches a certain point in development rather than dripfeeding info they usually put out a decent demo for players pretty soon before the actual game launches. It gives people a chance to get a feel for the game, and then once it actually releases they're left wanting more and it's fresh in their memory They've been making pretty smart decisions with the marketing for Resident Evil in my opinion
Pre-ordered it right when it was available. Definitely exceeded all of my expectations. Feels like the old times playing the original, but still like a fresh experience, to not get boring. The only thing I hope, is that it gets a very good hardmode like Madhouse was, that would make it 10/10.
Love how well placed bear traps were, and question why tripwires were out in the open, then figured its main goal was to discern or halt players to mislead them on other paths that has more surprises that awaits.
I was a bit worried in the beginning when Charlie started treating re4r like re2r, (with 3 shots to the enemies head). Most of all Im so very glad that learned how to parry/block incoming attacks.
Just fyi the early village swarm you finish either by timing it out or by killing a certain amount of enemies. Using the grenade in one of the houses can help you finish the section faster, especially on harder difficulties.
Back in the day, my husband (then boyfriend), sister, and I were all enjoying the original version of this game. We nicknamed the guy with the sack on his head "Brown Bag Special." A name which today remains cemented in our Resident Evil vocabulary LOL.

This is my Skyrim for the RE series. I had it for GameCube, PS2, Wii, Xbox One, and now I'll have it for PC. Wii edition on dolphin emulator in 4k is by far my favorite for the OG style. Them controls were awesome!
So far I've seen people loot the eggs but never use them. LOL They're handy healing items which lets you save your herbs until you get yellows to increase health. I do hope you can still get Bass, they're great healing items as well, takes up quite a bit of inventory space but if you have the space then it's worth it.

Haven’t seen anyone talking about it specifically, but I’m loving the new music so far… definitely different enough to spice things up, maybe not quite as iconic as the original but I love how it’s just a little bit creepier so far (2.5 chapters in) as well as a bit more modern.
I’m enjoying this game so much. It’s not a carbon copy and you’ll recognize so much of it but everything rearranged to flow better. Honestly it’s 10/10. So far my only complaint is that I have to play it on console 😢

I genuinely don't count it as a "remake" considering the story is more of a sequel than remake... But Final Fantasy 7 was solid. They did a good job with the gameplay and world in FF7 remake, but even then it wasn't a full "remake". Even then, that's the closest we have gotten to anyone else doing quality like this. So good job Capcom, no one else even comes remotely close to your level of quality and care for the original source.

Your not the only one man I would totally be down for a 5 and even 6 remake. The atmosphere of the setting for 5 could definitely be improved a lot, it took place in Africa mostly during the daytime and it just didn’t have nearly the same tension 4 did when it came out. 6 had its moments but was mostly a complete mess so I’m not even sure how they would handle a remake of that. I feel like they would change a ton of stuff. People also been asking for a remake of code veronica but I don’t think they are gonna do it atleast not until they get done remaking all the main numbered titles of the series
On the demo I just camped in one of the empty huts and systematically downed groups of villagers with shots and melee after the chainsaw guy popped out. Never saw him once during gameplay and the time elapsed.
RE3 was one of my favorites, and I was so sad to see how that game's remake went. Then when 4 was announced, I was genuinely worried it would go the same way as 3. I have only just gotten to Ashley, and I can already say my expectations have not only been passed. They have been shattered. 10/10 so far. Also "Hey, it's that dog" is one of the best moments.

Can we all agree that Capcom makes the best remakes?
I genuinely don't count it as a "remake" considering the story is more of a sequel than remake... But Final Fantasy 7 was solid. They did a good job with the gameplay and world in FF7 remake, but even then it wasn't a full "remake". Even then, that's the closest we have gotten to anyone else doing quality like this.
So good job Capcom, no one else even comes remotely close to your level of quality and care for the original source.
Am I the only one who would actually be pumped about a RE5 remake? Imagine it being a gorgues but dark brazil(i think thats where 5 took place) with todays graphics, amazing
RE5 and RE6 need a remake more than any game in the series did, considering how most people consider them the worst in series by far. I also think it would be nice if RE0, Veronica received remakes and RE1 got a re-remake in this style...

Your not the only one man I would totally be down for a 5 and even 6 remake. The atmosphere of the setting for 5 could definitely be improved a lot, it took place in Africa mostly during the daytime and it just didn’t have nearly the same tension 4 did when it came out. 6 had its moments but was mostly a complete mess so I’m not even sure how they would handle a remake of that. I feel like they would change a ton of stuff. People also been asking for a remake of code veronica but I don’t think they are gonna do it atleast not until they get done remaking all the main numbered titles of the series

On the demo I just camped in one of the empty huts and systematically downed groups of villagers with shots and melee after the chainsaw guy popped out. Never saw him once during gameplay and the time elapsed.
The church bell is ringing while he dies at 6:25 lol, he only had to live for a few more seconds.
It’s crazy to think I was four years old when re4 came out and now I’m 22 playing the remake in college.
Imo this was one of the most memorable titles of the franchise, glad to see this masterpiece get reworked
RE3 was one of my favorites, and I was so sad to see how that game's remake went. Then when 4 was announced, I was genuinely worried it would go the same way as 3.
I have only just gotten to Ashley, and I can already say my expectations have not only been passed. They have been shattered. 10/10 so far. Also "Hey, it's that dog" is one of the best moments.
I enjoyed village wasn't a big fan of re2 with all the puzzles debating picking this up looks good though.

Every time the RE remake comes out fantastic, the higher the expectations for the next one will be. I certainly hope he can survive when one of them inevitably falls short. Eventually.
