A great way to have a good meal on a hot day. Not to mention when cooking for two, you sometimes just want to keep it simple. Thanks for sharing your meal idea...I would have never thought about cooking a pork loin in my air fryer. Have a blessed week.

Before i retired my manager wanted me to make lunch in their air fryer. I had never even seen one before so i opted out that day. I know nothing about them so you are giving me my first instructions. Also i only use my microwave for reheating leftovers so yes i could use some recipes for that as well. I'm out of the loop for todays cooking for sure, bit you make it all a lot less intimadating. Thanks Colleen.

    Hey Coleen
In 1980 I opened a Microwave store selling microwaves and accessories with cooking classes three times a week.
I’ve been a home economists for years and when microwaves got popular I got into that. Love teaching and using a microwave.
I now am into air fryers and instapots. Please start using your air fryer more. It’s wonderful. Just a tip from Amazon you can get
parchment paper liners and it helps so much with the cleanup. Happy cooking. Love your videos and you are so prepared and neat. ❤

My first experience with a microwave was in 1986. It had a probe because you could cook meat in it. Never used it much. I remember the microwave and stove was Harvest Gold. I am actually on my 3rd air fryer. I live in South West Georgia and we have very little cold weather. Our seasons are hot, hotter and hottest. I did not want to move from Michigan but don’t miss the snow.

I haven’t cooked pork loin in my air fryer but I do enjoy using it it makes great baked potatoes with crispy skins which I enjoy, and great chicken wings, corn dogs, sausage links and hog dogs in the air fryer are delicious and if coarse French fries are wonderful just make sure to spritz the fries with oil to make them crispy ! Thanks for sharing Colleen 🙏, looked like a lovely tasty meal. Have you tried roasting a full chicken in your airfryer, just pay attention that chicken weight is suited to your AF, cook upside down for first half of cooking time & flip it for the second half. Obviously check the internal temp with a meat probe, but in my AF takes around an hour & the chicken is tender, moist, & delicious. I would appreciate more microwave cooking tips as tend to only use mine for baked pots, veg, scrambled eggs, fish & heating things up, would love to learn to cook more meals in the microwave as I live on my own now since my spouse died, it can be a chore at times cooking for one.
Hope that you & your family are battling through, you remain in my thoughts & prayers. 🙏💕💞🩷

I prepared the same dinner last Fri night but I don't have an air fryer. I made a honey/mustard to put on the pork. I'm sure my kitchen was much warmer than yours when dinner was ready. What are your thoughts on instant pots that can also air fry. Maybe some other subscribers have used one???? I'm trying to clear off my counter (stand mixer, small food processor, bread machine, waffle maker, slow cooker, a set of old-fashioned crockery bowls that are way too heavy to put into or take out of my cupboard) and considering that the instant pot will slow cook (among other things) I can get rid of the slow cooker. I previously kept all my small appliances in kitchen drawers or on shelves in my pantry. When they were out of sight I seldom used them. At 75 I decided that convenience, ease of use, and safety were more important than having a clear counter. I use my 'nuker' (as we call it) very often and would be very interested in any info you can share with us. btw I've spent some time in Port Alberni which is also a valley and when it's hot it's like being in a frying pan.lol Thanks for the video Colleen.
