- Are you struggling to afford your epic mount? In this video I share some of my go-to farming locations. I hope you find it helpful, or at the very least entertaining! I've made an effort to pick locations that are lesser known and will therefore have little to no competition. The level at which these farms can be completed range from lvl 30 to 60, so there's a bit of everything in here.

Next video is gonna be either the hunter twinking guide or a complete molten core strategy guide. Hope you'll all stay tuned for that! 👊
Thanks for all the kind words lately! I really do appreciate every single comment! ❤️

Today we're gonna be covering my favorite gold grinding locations for classic wow. As a general rule though, your best course of action for making gold at the lower levels is gonna be fishing blackmouth and deviate pools. However, this is not a goldmaking guide, it's just a collection of locations where you can grind mobs for gold. The items you're looking for are flame sacs which are used for fire protection potions, which granted are not really as high in demand as they were on private servers, due to molten core being so easy. But they also drop wicked claws, and they can be skinned. The main ticket items are the whelpling pets though. These are SUPER rare and there is one for every kind of whelp, meaning some people will want to collect them all. As a general rule though, they're gonna take a while to sell, and even if they do bring in a thousand gold or more, I generally wouldn't recommend doing this farm, but I had to leave it in here, because you guys would've torn me to pieces if I didn't. The next farm is basically 4 different farms in 1, but you're looking for the same items in every location. You're gonna be killing whelps in either Badlands, Swamp of Sorrows, Dustwallow, or if you're really low lvl, Wetlands. Dustwallow marsh is by far and away the best farm out of all these due to the vast amount of mobs. But, it is also the most likely to be contested by other players. The farm is also extremely unlikely to suffer from downtime as most people just run straight by these mobs. Since they're also humanoids, and all of which are high level, you're gonna find a lot of runecloth as well, which is always in demand and easy to sell. Finally, due to the level of the mobs, with luck, you'll find some high level BoEs which can be disenchanted. There's also, ofcourse, the BoEs with shadow or frost damage affixes that rack up a pretty penny on their own. The harpies drop volatile plumes, which are used for the darkmoon faire tickets that, in turn, can be spent on epic necklaces and more. You'll be surprised how much people are willing to pay for these when the faire is released. The other item, that's gonna sell right away, are light feathers. This is used by mages for their slow fall ability. They drop essence of earth and air, which go for a tonne on the auction house and should always be listed there. They also drop elemental earth and air which can either be vendored if you're lazy, or put up on the AH aswell, and loads of high level BoEs. Once again, if you're lucky, one of these green BoEs might very well go for tripple digits, assuming the right affixes. The bad ones can ofcourse always be disenchanted or just vendored for multiple gold a pop. The first of which is another one that can be done at relatively low lvl. I'd say around level 42. This is a very consistent farm since the majority of your gold comes from raw vendor trash. This is also the ideal level range for staff of jordan, but hey, that's not really gonna happen so don't get your hopes up. There's also a gimmicky trinket that only drops from basilisk in stv that can drop here. It's not really good, but it's worth a bit of chunk to some collectors. Alright, lastly, we're going to feralas to kill ogres again. Although this time, at a lower level. They drop silk and mageweave cloth and different grey items that rack up a tonne. I don't know if this is random, but they seemed to have an insane drop chance of 2 handed greys that all vendor for like 1g a pop which is quite nice, and I even had 6 mobs in a row drop greens so this might very well be bugged, i don't know.

wow a mage farm video, this was really needed
you should really put Mage in your title
I farm from the cages in Shadowpray village at lvl 30, just pick up Q (rep) from bridge, and sell them back to the Q giver. I make 10-15 g/h as lvl 30+. Tips, use underwater breathing.
Henric Bohm is that horde exclusive?
Good video but u should put in their levels on the right side with the other information you provided for the guys that are newer
Step 1) Be a mage
Step 2) ???
Step 3) Profit
This.
Getting so bored of all these gold farming "guides"
Basically. Idk why content creators dont just name shit like this "mage farming locations"
@@sheeshmate597 other classes can farm, it takes persistence. And despite the uber mage theory most mages are not great at farming and staying alive... most classic mages who are not 60s, not raid geared and not able to buy themselves high end gear at start will not be able to do great frost farming. Streamers always seem to have the gear first then farm, which means they bought it off the AH in many cases, and that means they often cheat and buy gold.
Neat, i'll have to give those oozes a shot being both a mage and an herbalist
Go for it! :D Such an underrated spot, especially for mage aoe farming!
best one i 've ever seen .
Every gold guide I've seen says that oily blackmouth is worth gold. On my server you can maybe get 60c per fish if your lucky and it hasn't been undercut to 20c. Fishing for a couple hours and you're going to get a few stacks of these for a whopping 36 silver. Great farm lol.
I've heard on other servers they're like 2g a stack.
layering had minimal impact. massive gold farming companies abused layering and probably have accounts completely full of oily blackmouth. it goes for nothing on my server too but i just buy it all and make blackmouth oil and profit
Prices are impacted based on your faction too, if you're alliance deviates are harder to get therefor more expensive. Recipe for delights is 15 -20g easy on my server as ally, fish 40s to 50s each
a rogue buddy and i went to the ogres in deadwind and were there for an hour and a half, no grey drops, 1 green and there was no one else there and every 4th or 5th mob couldn't be looted.
@@lucieth555 yeah we didn't find it worth it at all and haven't been back but so many claim it as an amazing gold farm, maybe in private lol
Whats the addon called that popped the rare info on the left side on screen when farming jadefire?
What level would you say is required for Felwood Bear/Wolf farm for AOE frost mage?
They're 49-50 so 48 should be fine :)
whats the addon that shows the rare that spawned?
i don't believe the basilisks in the stv cave can drop the trinket. only the cold eye basilisk drops it, and the basilisks in the cave is a tire lvl higher 41+ and the last spot on your list is a quest area, so you cloud have ppl come by wrecking the efficiency a lot. but other than that, quite helpful info. as a extra note, the basilisk cave has a rare spawn too on a fairly low timer´. i was grinding there for my lvl 40 mount on my hunter and saw the rare spawn 2 times during my grind in the cave from lvl 39-40.
Whats your rare scanner addon?
Hiya! :) It's called SilverDragon and it's on the twitch client
Are you able to change the chat colors / backdrop via the default Blizzard UI or need an addon for that?
You can change the chat backdrop to a transparent or solid black by default, and you can change the color of which text channels will appear (whispers/party etc), but all on an individual level. It's pretty limited so Prat is like my number 1 recommended addon if you dont wanna fully commit to ElvUI like me.
You are saying you got items off like 5 ogres in a row or whatever... I went to both the deadwind pass spot, and the spot in feralas, and killed about 30 ogres. I got absolutely nothing in feralas, and maybe 8 cloth in deadwind pass. Did they nerf drops? Because this was a huge waste of my time. Even if I killed hundreds, according to this, I'd have a few stacks of cloth, and maybe a lucky green or two?
Farmers those ogres for a level yesterday 43>44. I got one green and like 3 grays...
Love the basilisks in that STV cave. FOSHO
very good grind spot if you don't like dealing with auction house
I enjoyed the video, thank you.
What lvl for oozes on hinterland? (I'm not good at speaking English)
Depends on class/gear etc... But the mobs themselves are level 46-48.
So you should at the very least be 46 in my opinion! :)
@@VetleTV thanks, I'm try it on 47 mage
I love this game!
:D
Now just make a 100 more secrets farming spots and ppl Will spread out nicely
@4:30 did 2 hours here got 13g all up.
Never knew about Deadwind ogres farming, might have to try that out
the only bad thing is that spot can only support 2-3 people farming. If there are more its not worth it. I always /who deadwind pass first. If there are 4+ there i dont even bother
Went in the cave with the ogre warlocks for a few hours and the enchant dropped so im good but yeah there were times multiple people stepped in. The only thing I really got from it were tons of runecloth and that enchant other than not really worth it for me.
You don't often see it mentioned as a gold grinding spot, but just about every runecloth grinding list has it on there.
Z2u reputation!
How about a god dam video from someone who's NOT A FRIGGIN MAGE!!!!!
So jelly
@@Demiurge13 No, so indy. I don't follow the crowd.
*Laughs in hunter*
a couple of those spots would be better as a rogue or warrior - he's just on a mage in the video. all the whelps, ogres in deadwind, and harpies in 1kn (due to their silence)
Beware of Silithus, not only is it highly camped, but you can and will have sessions where nothing of value drops. I've went a little over 2 hours without a single essence before. The lack of consistency is rough on your mental state.
Khaltazar right it’s either feast or famine with me.
More spots for lower levels please, like make brackets? Thank you
Plague lands bats beats all these locations for raw gold and fishing for night fin.
NO u told me demons farm spot!
Lesser known spots on UA-cam ? Lmao
Classic is 15 years old. Everything is relative :)
Mage farming in the open world? Just go zf and get good gold farm with no competitors.
large fangs only go for 50c-1s each on auction house so they are totally useless lol.
supply and demand in practice :< 99% of classic players doing the same farms...
Yea I found it easier to buy em off the AH then to try an farm them
"lesser known spots"
proceeds to list the most competitive spots..
Yeah. He totally lost me when he brought up felwood.
Ye i ..
Not a single one of these spots is "lesser known"
Put mage in your title.
Lesser known? Not really...
another ignorent persons ignorent guide
they are not lesser known now... title should be. Making money streaming pointless youtube videos....
