Mine are as well. In all honesty as long as youtube is run by a soulless algorithm, there's gonna be a ton of small / mid sized creators that don't get the recognition they deserve.
uhh almost 23k subs as a vanilla youtuber is far from underappreciated. Compare with tipsout etc, anyways frost really does a great job and his subs will climb. Needs some time tho :)
René Klenk I like to round up 22.2k subs to 23k subs too sometimes 😋but the comparison you did there is a bit of, since tips has a bit more if I remember right. Anyways we have been starting to grow lately, I guess the Classic WoW community is growing too since the release announcement.
thing is, regular math doesnt work in youtube. I calculated that he gets regularly more subs, which means he is close to 23k :) Anyways thanks for your insight. Tips has 23.6k atm. So i think the comparsion is fine :)
Hi Frost! I really appreciate your videos, both in terms of entertainment and as educational. What I really enjoy is the mix of lore and facts, giving a good fantasy vibe and rp-feeling while at then same time gives you more in-game knowledge. I have skimmed through loot tables from classic databases doing some research and seeing a whole series about it is cool. Really your whole video is very smooth to watch also. Can't think of any constructive criticism really, I like it all.
And again, well done sir. I, for one, appreciate you adding the element of lore. It is nice to see a bit of story telling mixed in with solid stats for making some extra gold.
Really well done! Not only is the grinding spot super informative, but I love that you gave a little lore lesson as to why things are the way they are in EPL.
Great video. Detailed and will definately try this one. I actually grinded these when I happened to find the same as you say here, alot of good greys and evil bat eye can sell for 10-15s above vendor price. Nice with a bit of background aswell. Looking forward to whatever you throw at us in the future.
As a warrior that does skinning and mining that struggles to make gold and with essences of water selling for 30-40g on my server, this was very very helpful.
Gotta jump in here and say that your videos are a great breath of fresh air and extremely appealing to watch and listen to. Very underappreciated indeed, keep up the amazing work my friend.

Awesome thanks for the work! More videos like this (length/info/lore) all was on point. Maybe you could do your top 5 grinding spots or your favourite grinding places whilst leveling.
This is going to be a useful series. I remember in vanilla making short lists of mobs that dropped decent valued greys to vendor for this exact reason. Now the only one I can remember is that bears drop bear carcasses and they went to vendor well
I liked to hang around the Noxious Glade and Hearthglen while farming gold to buy a mount. Managed to get a Krol Blade and Stockade Pauldrons - both from Noxious Glade. The human mobs drop silver, the occasional grey weapon that vendors for ~1g50s, and rune cloth. Runecloth can be sold on the auction house, or made into bandages that vendor for 2g per stack of 20.
Love the mix of lore and tips in your videos. So many of the UA-camrs who make videos about Classic are just ranting without saying anything useful, and it's tiresome.
Hey Frost! I started playing classic on K3 about a month ago and your videos are amazing to listen to are while grinding as well as crazy helpful! Your Swaps of sorrow guide helped a ton for grinding gold! I know you probably got something in the works but something like the best gold grinding spots per 10 level bracket would be amazing! Keep up the amazing work :D
One thing I liked about vanilla wow was the economy and AH mechanics. I think they did decently well when it came to automatic gold farmers and people selling stuff, not letting it get TOO out of hand, and the economy was mostly stable on my server. I was on a pvp server though, and a high pop one at that, so these types of places were always filled with people and contested between both alliance and horde killing these off and each other. One thing I would do as a paladin was make badlands runs, just mining Iron and Mithril. It was rare to see a higher level running through there, so the lowbie 40's would leave me alone and vice versa. I could get stack and stacks of it, and that's a good time with engineering and blacksmithing when you need lots and lots to level through those levels to get up to the good stuff, so people were more willing to just go buy it. Also also, by the time you loop all the way around the zone, the nodes start respawning, so it works out perfectly. This alone funded 2 epic mounts.
Hey Frost! I'm a big fan of your vids and can't wait for vanilla. I remember grinding gold back in the day in WPL Hearthglen and another elite spot in EPL (forgot the name). Not sure if it was a good spot gold/hr wise but it occasionally dropped some rare items. You remember if it was any good? Keep up the good work :D
Thanks for your videos Frost, I find you one of the best to watch and most informative. Just like to also say it's amazing how you tell the story of WoW at the start of your videos. Thank you 😀
I've watched this series and must say, these are really good. Most "gold making" videos consist of "get to 60 as soon as possible and farm specific crafting materials or dungeons to sell it on the AH". People forget that on a fresh server there is no money in the economy. In Vanilla all money on a server had to he painfully farmed by killing mobs and selling greys!
Sorry if you've answered this before, but where did you get this neat footage of old stratholme / uncorrupted darrowmere? Is it some fan mod, and is it downloadable? Looks very cool
@@Frostadamus Ahh just found it, ty. Watched the whole video, really enjoyed it. A lot of this info is super important, and not only to people who played on Nostalrius / Elysium like us. Keep it up man, see ya on classic

ive been waiting for 10 years on the Krollblade drop :) i love farming anything to do with Argent dawn. because its always dark and Gothic :) EP is a good choice.
here's a tip. Scalding Whelp's in badlands have a .09% chance to drop a "Dark Whelpling". I know it's a low drop rate, but these guys are actually VERY efficient to level grind off of.. and if you do level grind off of them for about 4-5 levels or whatever...you'll end up getting a few of these. I think when I did them, I got about 6 of them or so...which i ended up selling on the AH for 250 gold each. EACH. that's an epic mount before I even hit 60. ;) just a heads up. GL
I hope you carry on with this material, the drop chance stats you provide is extremely good and you do not fuck about. You provide every specific that is needed for everyone.
Helpful video frosty. Thank you. I prefer to pickpocket on level 50+ mobs myself but this becomes inefficient after getting good enough gear to farm mobs with more speed.
I was doing this 12-14 years ago when it was current content. Good times. I watch videos like this and start to think about all of the people who want to either go back to Classic servers or try them for the first time. They're going to be in for a rude awakening when they realize they'll actually have to grind like this to survive if they want to successfully raid and be part of something that actually lasts.
I discovered this spot about 6 months ago on my mage, and it used to provide me with quick gold whenever I needed it, but as you said it gets tedious and boring due to the debuffs the bats cast on you, so it wastes more time moving from one mob to the other specially the movement speed debuff. However, if you must make some gold either to pay a debt or buy an item from the auction house before it expires, this is the place to be.
Yea. Tedious, boring and annoying. But my secret is to swap between spots:P I try the demons in aszhara for felcloth, next day maybe felwood for essence of water and so on.
I used the cave on Felwood to farm the elementals there for living essences , the drop rate was pretty consistent , managed to make enough gold to buy the book for quel'serrar , living essences were like 8-10g in auction house .
definitely need more of this kind of stuff man, great work. might try it out. even though you showed your calculations im skeptical about the 50g/hour thing. im playing warlock and for gold ive just been farming mara, which gives ~29-40g/hour depending on what princess and the croc drop, with one run taking about 15-17min (with my pre bis gear). so im not sure if grinding mobs is faster. but i still really like the real-hard-cash form of g/hour - not relying on the AH too much. as lock the monster bats are probably easiest and most efficient ones to farm. just gotta see how my voidwalker handles the silence and how much his threat in combination with my killing speed affects the grinding speed.

Hi frost very good Video as usual, i have a small Question tho, is there an longer Version of the Music that Plays in the beginning? please let me know
Winterfall teddybears are probably my fav 60 grinding spot. Not only are they humanoids, drop Juju and firewater. You also gain reputation, which makes you feel like you working towards something other than monetary reasons.
Great Video. Would love to see more info on classes that are able to solo grind parts of instances. Farming elite mobs and such. I get that not many classes will but playing a hunter in vanilla allowed me to grind some elites for drops and such.
I got a Lifestone trinket from epl and a lion of stormwind trinket from stratholme =) Oh, wait! and a krol blade from heartglen. Axe of deep wood is pretty good, specially for orcs .
You should make a video on a RFK Grind. You can clear all bosses rather quick and professions don't make much difference so it's universal. Kill extra trash based off timer of instance per/hour cap. Vendor at Camp T. You can easily make 50g an hour with vendoring doing this, no competition, no pvp. Theoretically you can get a epic mount in less than 24 hours without ever leaving barrens the moment you hit 60. The grind is tiresome and will make you never want to do RFK again but it's a pretty good deal for horde. Not sure about an alliance vendor nearby. Ratchet is a option though. Mage water/food is extremely useful for this. They still hurt.
My old favorite farming spot was the air elementals in Silithus...you'd get an Essence of Air about 15% of the time which sold for ~15-20g each since people always wanted agility enchants.
Hey Matthew, I had a mage in my guild back in vanilla. He was specced slightly into arcane, talking improved dampen magic (reducing extra damage) to a point where the elemental we're barely doing damage to him. So, he was pulling all Air elemental from silithus and kiting them with arcane explosion rank 1, when he had enough on him, he killed em. Think he made a fortune :D
I used to spend time farming elite’s at Tyr’s Hand on my rogue , trash was selling for 1g+ , 16 slot bag had chance to drop, Krul’s Blade 1h boe, staff of jordan , 2h boe sword and epic bow all had chance to drop

Who told you 13 minutes was too long of a video? Longer videos means more information, leading to more gold. Keep up the great work.
My old favorite farming spot was the air elementals in Silithus...you'd get an Essence of Air about 15% of the time which sold for ~15-20g each since people always wanted agility enchants.
Hey Matthew,
I had a mage in my guild back in vanilla.
Evil bag eye sells also well at the actionhouse because for the dark moon faire.
I used to spend time farming elite’s at Tyr’s Hand on my rogue , trash was selling for 1g+ , 16 slot bag had chance to drop, Krul’s Blade 1h boe, staff of jordan , 2h boe sword and epic bow all had chance to drop
