OH MY GOSH!!!!! I'm a subscriber but didn't know about this one. I have been stressing over a star pointed Christmas Tree skirt I've been making for my daughter and pretty much ruined the binding. I so wish I had googled sooner. Your instructions are spot on and absolutely perfect for the horribly pointy ends and edges both inside and outside. Now I can stop stressing and actually finish this tree skirt for her even though Christmas just past. It can be a birthday present. I can't even begin to say how perfect your instructions are. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
Yes, thank you for that tutorial. I am sewing an asymmetrical neckline on a jersey tshirt. I could now wrap my head around how I was going to do the seam binding. Now it makes sense, thank you.
This is exACTly what I've been searching for about sewing binding on an inside corner. I have a tote bag I'm working on and, messed up on an exterior pocket. Well, because I lost my seam ripper, (🤪) I couldn't RIP out the thread to start over. So, I had an idea to just cut out the pocket and sew some fabric into the hole I created. Was just gonna put zig zag stitching on the edges, but, I then had an idea to place a sort of patchwork panel in that area. So, I felt I needed to bind off the interior edges of the hole, instead. And, I was unsure how to sew into the interior corner until I found your video here. TYSM for helping me to save the tote bag I am working on. I was about ready to start completely over with brand new fabric - you saved the day for me, ma'am ! 👍😉😻
Great tutorial, thank you! I needed help figuring out how to bind those inside points on a scalloped border. This was just what I needed. Your instructions are so clear. I love how you explain every. tiny. single. step and show such get close-ups on the camera. Well done!
This is fantastic Laura. I like table runners with the pointed ends but hesitate making them as the binding at those ends always takes me forever to figure out. You have now make it easy. Thank you so much for all your tutorials. I look forward to them and watch as soon as I receive the notification.
Laura, Thank you very much for this post which came at just the right time for me. I needed to make some table runners and your template method made it 'sewveryeasy' to attach the binding around those non-ninety degree corners. I created a three corner template with shorter straight runs between them than the actual size, added some notes to it, punched some binder holes in it and put it in my notes binder so I can use it again next time.
This was quite helpful since I'm working on a project with sharp edges and was wondering how to sew the bias without having to change the whole pattern. Thank you!!!
Wow, Thank you Laura. That may be above my skill and patience level. But I will log this for the future. I may find I can do it easier than I thought. You always make your projects look easy. Perhaps, that is why you are called, "SewVeryEasy".
I watched this video a bit ago and now I am reviewing it as the binding and quilt are sitting ready at the machine. I am so glad I saw this video. How helpful. I am excited to sew the binding.
Oh my godness you are A GEM THANK YOU SO MUCH now i can sew my Christmas tree wall hanging I have it in my UFO box because I could not work out how to do the binding with out it looking like a total hack LOVE YOUR WORK
thank you for this!!! Im making a bed tent with windows and needed a tutorial on inside mitered corners. This was so helpful and easy to follow and see what you were doing!!!
This just came on autoplay after I looked for a binding tutorial, and I just had it running in the background as I was sewing. This is so comfortable to listen to, I don't even quilt! :D
Thank you Laura, I avoided patterns like that but now with your clear and precise tuition I think I will try it out on something small first like a table runner.
Great tutorial! So inspiring. I’ve been wanting to try using ribbon on my tree for years, and now you’ve given me the confidence to try. Thanks so much,!
Wow! I'm a little afraid to do this! lol I have a star table topper with SIX points to tackle and that's a lot of futzing to do. It's my first quilt so I'm not too worried about it being perfect but I do want it to look nice on the table! Thanks for sharing this info!
Wonderful. I do them but not the way you did. I like your way much better. Yours looks much better then mine. Thank you so much for showing this way of doing binding.
Thanks for showing us that interesting tutorial. I would love a tutorial on the curved log cabin quilt behind you. I have been admiring the colours for a long time!!!
Laura I just this evening watched this tutorial It helped a great deal However I figured out a way to put a pin at the apex of the point sew to the pin and pivot and sew down the middle of the apex pivot and sew the quarter inch down the sides Easier than the paper template
I absolutely love your voice! It makes it nice when i am listening to you and you do not have an annoyingly nasaly voice lol....i often go to different videos and if they have an annoying voice, even if the content is good, i will switch it off because i cannot stand to hear it! Also i wanted to tell you that you are super easy to follow along with in your instructions. Thank you so much for what you do for all of us out here. Please continue!

Thank you Laura for another great video. Could you please do one on normal binding, showing how to do the mitre corners on a quilt that is finished by hand sewing or finished by machine sewing. I can never get the machine finished one correct. Having arthritis it is hard to do all that hand sewing.
