I rented this video from the video shop so many times. I loved the story, the movie and of course Stephen Dorrf. Seriously needs to be seen by more people. ❤️
Passed away on this day(April 10) in 1962 Stuart Sutcliffe. Cheers! 🥨
The guy playing Paul was great. If Paul died, they could just replace him and nobody would know unless they hid clues in the album covers.
Excellent!! I watched this film at the original released in Geneva -A masterpiece! . I collect Beatles memorabilia. I have the original letter to Astrid from George Harrison telling her to share the photographs she took . I am from Pakistan and founded a band in the late sixties you can imagine the influence the Beatles had during that era
This movie is amazing! At the end of the movie I cried...
Love this movie, classic
Totally fantastic film!
A brilliant portrait of legends.
Adieu Astrid 🧡
I had a vision once. And it looked a lot like this. Seriously
Have the fab movie on DVD and on this computer. Haven't tried to get it past the censors yet. One day. Had the honor of seeing Astrid and Klaus, at the LA Beatlefest.
Great movie about the time of the Beatles in Hamburg , where they became the best band of all time. Maybe Astrid and Stewart would have become the greatest artists of all time? Maybe they are together again now.
Stuart
I saw Backbeat when it was on general release. I think it was on TV a few years later. It's really hard to find on DVD - I've only just found a 2nd hand copy on Ebay. I love this movie! I think it really captures the energy & determination of the early Beatles. I saw a Stu Sutcliffe exhibition at the Beatles Story in Liverpool some years ago - I think his portrayal in the film gives some idea of his role in Beatles history, his art and his tragically short life. It's not meant to be a documentary!
Can’t find this movie anywhere 😔
Adios Querida Astrid
I watched most of this film years ago and it was very sad what happened to Stuart Sutcliffe, by her own admission he was the love of Astrid Kircher's life.
Stuart Sutcliffe is related to me
It is a good movie...
Awesome!
Irs a lovely movie
From a lad from Liverpool I cried watching this
oh dear
Miss Twin Peaks
What an a-hole thing to say! She's done more than just that!
Nothing like this much events happened ,they were shaped in a way just for the movie,Stu became John'a close friend,John's childhood friend was pete shotton, people considered them as besties, later Paul took on,and in reality Stu was not a good bass player and pete best was terrible but in the movie nothing like that is. Showwn
stuart was john's best friend, and they never said that he was his childhood friend in the movie. and paul's friendship with john had a completely different dinamic. and many people have already said that stu was a decent bass player. at first, he was bad because he had to learn how to play while the others in the band already played their instruments for a long time. so his problem was that he was behind the others in terms of abilities, but he wasn't bad at all. pete best was good he just didn't fit well with the band.
@@s2nishiki539 olá, vi agora o trailer do filme. A história narrada é confiável ?
Pete best wasnt terrible at all...he just wasnt anything special and had no personality still he could carry a beat. Stu was like Sid vicious before Sid a guy who looked the part but couldn't play a lick
Pete Best is about as "good" as Ringo. Let's not retcon reality!
@@mike-mz6yz Stu was nothing like Sid Vicious. Stu could play, he just had an opportunity to live his dream of art school so he did.
does anyone know where i can watch this? please?
Stephen Dorff pulled off the Liverpool accent for a Yank I thought lol
except it was nothing like Stu's actual accent
Everything is cracking about this film except the singing...why didn't they hire a beatles tribute band to do the music...there's loads and the good ones are close to spot on....the singer I'd clearly american with a powerful voice...looks stupid when the skinny lads are mouthing it...apart from that brill film
might want to go look up who played
"John" looks too old, and his voice and accent are wayyyy off
Well I'm from Liverpool and I think it's a decent accent, even if he looks older.
The actor is a scouser… it’s pretty close but I’m sure you could do better my friend
Sheryl Lee was so fkn annoying in this 🤦🏼♀️
