I do not own the rights to this movie. All rights go to Gramercy Pictures, and all who worked on this great movie. Stephen Dorff, Sheryl Lee, Ian Hart, Gary Bakewell
@@MatthewBlue-yg1wkYes, Stu usually played with his back to the audience because he really didn't know what he was doing. He was just in the band because John wanted him to be.
Plus, I really really doubt the Beatles sounded anything like this, in 1960! They've kind of played it like punk music, but bands back then really didn't play like that. The real Beatles perfomances in Hamburg would have been a lot slower, more rock and roll, and a lot more professional
CJ Mooney the real Beatles actually were not professional at all back in the cavern and bars. They actually acted like this on stage, but they obviously didn't sing like this at all, but they did cuss, hit each other, eat on stage, and rock out. It was Brian Epstein who made them professional on stage. Its a very interesting fact
This film shows that the Beatles had very humble beginnings working as a warm up act in a German strip club. Who would have believed back then that just three years later they would be packing out giant stadiums to tens of thousands of screaming fans.
Master rocker legend Little Richard performed in Germany at the Star Club (many American rockers toured there) and he gave Paul a private lesson in how to sing this song. And clearly, Paul was a good student.
@@FireMinstrel never said there wasnt did i?theres none of him playing with them in Hamburg where they were supposedly at there best as a live act according to John Lennon and the decca recordings he isnt that great but none of them are good on those recordings they all sound v nervous
I can see why Macca disagreed with this scene. Long Tall Sally was one of his trump cards, and even if I doubt Lenny would be unable to pull it off just as good it's wrong not to have Paul do it when it was a Paul-song (when sung by the Beatles)
They should really have given this song to Paul McCartney in the movie. He did the Beatles version of the song and it was awesome. If you watch the movie you wonder why John Lennon would bother with Paul McCartney - They truth was that Paul McCartney also was Rock n' Roll. You had to be Rock n' Roll to be in The Beatles.
What an unrealistic interpretation of the Beatles on stage at that point in their career. It's put me right off the prospect of watching the film Just for startes, the guitars are completely wrong, and Paul should be singing. For genuine immersion into the Beatles in Hamburg, read the time travel book available from Amazon, 'Many years' til now'.
If Pete and Stu really played like Dave Grohl and Mike Mills, Beatles history would have been a lot different.
Actually Stuart would probably still be with the Beatles because I prefer Ringo over Pete
Truth is neither were the musicians the other Beatles were or had their potential.

This is the part the real Paul hated the most.
True because Paul sang Long Tall Sally ,not John
+Dillonquador Even though they did show Gary Bakewell(as Paul) singing some vocals. It is still really inaccurate to have John sing it at all.

He hated it more than Michael Jackson's wallet.

Well this is it isn't from a 5oyear old coming I feel for them
inaccurate account because Lennon never sung this in real life, according to Paul McCartney
Also according to albums and live performances

This songs has much more punk rock vibes with this version lol
Funny enough when they were doing gigs in Hamburg, the "Garage Rock" (or what people call 60's punk) was starting to become a thing
Paul sings "Long Tall Sally" NOT John
These guys have to be on something for real
They probably were on lsd fr

Preludin I believe they were on
They were amphetamines ..in the 50s and 60s they were prescribed as slimming pills !
In the late 50s through the 60s you could buy or be prescribed slimming pills which were actually amphenamines

ヤバい青春ですわー!
This was a Paul cover song
Stu, tocando el bajo de esa manera lo dudo
Paul never liked this scene because he says he gave all the spot to "that John guy" and it was always just him and Little Richard

Леннон никогда не пел эту песню, её пел Маккартни.
Paul sang LTS not John
Have those who made this movie at least listened to the Beatles in their life?
This is like A Chorus Line where Cassie sings What I Did for Love instead of Diana Morales
wow
Hello Back Beat producers!!! John Lennon never sang Long Tall Sally!!!
