Frontier Airlines flight 1052 service from Orlando Int'l Airport (KMCO) to Charlotte (KCLT) in the Airbus A320neo. Air traffic control goes offline immediately and chaos ensues. Thankfully we make it out alive and actually land on the runway this time.

I would love 2 see airforce proud use some airforce jets and make some trips from one airforce base to the next utilizing some airforce planes like the F-15c or F-22 raptor or F-16. Come on my guy be airforce proud a day fly some airforce planes

Hah yeah, this isn't anything floorpush20 hasn't seen before but the fact that it's on a realism server makes his reaction more realistic, which definitely made it even better

I would like to thank you Mr Airforceproud. You got me into flight sims years ago which really sparked my interest in aviation and just last week I did my first solo flight in a Cessna 152! I have about 15 hours logged so far, many more to go!

That's gonna be all over Aircrash Investigation on Discovery ID. NTSB will be salivating over the smoldering wreck.
That plane will have at least 20 full incident reports, just for those 5 to 10 minutes of pure anarchy (and physics anomalies). All of them will have the same item in the Recommendations section : "We... we don't know. It's against everything science teaches us. We quit."
Would be nice if FSX included more realistic crashes vs going full balloon mode physics wise.

@@charliedallachie3539 I remember FS2004/FS9 had a really cool realistic crash mod, but something MS changed for FSX made it not able to be ported to FSX. Then for some reason a lot of people were mad that it even existed, like wtf? 😂

I was previously a flight attendant. I enjoyed my job but I also had much respect and would squee everytime I was allowed in the cockpit. This was hilarious to watch and what a cool SIM!!!!

I always thought Microsoft flight sim was a single player game. I didn’t know they have multiplayer where people can play as ATC or other aircraft. That’s so cool.
I feel like it’s Microsoft’s good deed to the world. Make a platform where people who should never be in a real cockpit or ATC tower get to feel like they’re in a real cockpit or ATC tower, so it keeps them out of one and they can’t kill anyone. 🙃
(That said, I’ve heard some way better sim ATCs than real ATCs 🙈😩)
The base game is multiplayer but no atc the atc in this video is essentially a mod
Mod being VATSIM. Supports more than just FS apparently.

Your plug for Navigraph convinced me to subscribe. Been about 3 weeks now. Super helpful and makes for a more realistic and immersive experience. I still have issues making a decent IFR flight plan, but I’m practicing.
Simbrief
I will second the recommendation to use Simbrief. You get valid flight plans (real routing), and the dispatch format adds to the immersion. The recent integration with Navigraph should make it even better.
Microsoft Chem Trail Sim looks amazing but shame we can't see all the carnage happening on the ground.

id love to see "how" it is people get so invested in Flight sim, its incredible how its done and im wondering how and what utilities you would use

Get a joystick
Get a pen and paper
Get ready to spend a week on UA-cam gathering info on vatsim and pilot procedures and routines
Get ready to spend weeks on learning the systems and functionality of the aircraft you want to fly
And then start playing online.
And then there's the issue of learning to register a lot of information being spat at you in 4 seconds.
Takes time, sounds harder than it is (!)
But you have to be passionate about it, otherwise it's not worth it lol

The detail as you flew into KCLT was amazing I have seem that scenery dozens of times. VATSIM doesn't seem to have the new ATC tower but everything looks just like it did 5 years ago even down to the cargo area and National Guard base.

Out of curiosity, are airliner pilots expected to memorise the 5-letter location codes, approach heights, etc for the routes that they fly, and how many is that likely to be?
I love getting to watch the real world logistics behind these flights, it raises my respect for pilots and ATC even higher than it already was.
No, they aren't, but they will go over the relevant information before a flight and they have tons of paperwork to remind them of something they forget. Of course, if you fly a route repeatedly, you are going to memorize some things.
If you're flying a modern airliner, the displays quite literally have them all pointed out for you, names and numbers all, and before the flight you'll have a checklist which you'll go over a few times. Plus, in the cockpit of every airliner is several large books detailing aaaaaaaall of those markers and procedures just in case.

First time viewer and I'm so amazed on the graphics on these flight simulators these days it almost makes you feel like your really in the cockpit although wasn't ready for the dancing airplane in Orlando as the pilot must of drank a whole bottle of cough syrup before taking the controls.
