My First "UFO" Encounter in Microsoft Flight Simulator (with ATC) FlyByWire A320neo

Spirit Airlines flight 1652 arrives at the Burbank Bob Hope Airport (KBUR) after a short flight from Las Vegas McCarran Int'l (KLAS). Everything is normal until final approach when air traffic control and TCAS alerts us of unidentified traffic near the airport. The unknown vehicle then causes two missed approaches (N7TW, DAL545) and an Airbus A320 abduction before disappearing. It was probably just a GA plane without a transponder but I'm confirming extraterrestrial life. Recorded on VATSIM in Microsoft Fork Simulator.

The one time I flew Spirit, the pilot did a wonderful job.
I was more scared of the plane itself. The noises it made led me to believe they saved money by skipping the loctite.

No time for shenanigans in VATSIM. When you connect to VATSIM does it automatically place you on the server with the other VATSIM players? How do they manage traffic otherwise?

heck id love that as a halloween event have a bunch of UFO spawn across the map in all there many varietys from flying saucer to cigar rocket and if players manage to find them all before the time limit is up microsoft will add a classic flying saucer as a flyable "plane".

Ok... This is the first time I've watched this kind of accurate flight simulator type video and this is absolutely insane. I'm lucky if I can just land mostly on the runway but you guys are moving things along like clockwork. It's frickin awesome.

I play MSFS myself but only as a game. An amateur, novice, almost purely for my own amusement and drinking game purposes.
Almost. I know a few of my friends find it amusing as well, being actual 737 pilots. Every few months on the first of their three days off they visit with staggering quantities of high strength alcohol in hand for the games. It’s a landing competition with whom ever does the the best buttery perfect landing getting the “grand prize” (usually something that everyone has contributed to) of 30(ish) attempts each. But for every time each player lands successfully-without breaking the landing gear, runway excursions ect then he or she has to drink a strong shot. Except me. I don’t have to on account that I’d never stand a chance otherwise and it levels the playing field. But for that first bit of time before the alcohol drags them down to my level, they seem to delight in teaching and guiding me and I learned much.
Admittedly I end my exemption when it gets to the point where I’m the only one consistently getting it on the centre line. Things get very silly after that and when I can’t focus on setting up the game, it’s time to switch to watching tv. Great fun, but I’d never take it seriously.

I have flown Spirit once. Round trip from ORD - LAS. Return trip to ORD ended up being a ~23 hour escapade that spent tarmac time in SBN, terminal time in DTW, and contained roughly nine aborted landing attempts. So, wing strike the terminal all you want, you'll never match the real Spirit experience.

I don’t know what it is, but I just enjoy these videos playing in the background. It’s a crazy cool mixture of comedy and a serious attempt at acquiring additional skills. I have great respect for people who have a good knowledge of MSFlight. I’ve heard it’s extremely accurate to real life and many of the participants could pilot a real plane despite having never been in a real cockpit. Thanks for the entertainment. I mean it. Good stuff.

@@imcontemptwithlife4155 It was too low to be a satellite, it could have been a Cessna plane judging from how low it was. But I didn't see any green or red lights(it was night time) just one bright white pulsing light, that wasn't moving. I was in a moving car though so probable an optical illusion. It got dimmer the closer I got to it, then it just disappeared, fading out of sight. Still saw no red or green flashing lights. That's why I stated weirdly lit plane since I honestly do not know.

Kilo Charlie, now that you've got flying on VATSIM down to a fine art, would you ever consider training to do ATC on the network? I'd honestly love to see how it's done, it would make for a wonderful point of comparison with the FSX ATC videos that you used to do (and which I loved so much), and I think you could be really funny and entertaining (for both the audience and the pilots you work with) while maintaining minimum acceptable standards of professionalism! I appreciate it's a massive undertaking, but man it could make for some coool videos.
I know 5 pilots (college roommate was one too) and they all have that same style of humor. Got to love it.
Lets all take a moment to appreciate MSFS 2020. The way this shit's upgraded every aviation channel (including the ones that aren't about playing it in any capacity but using it for visuals like Mentour Pilot's channel) I only expect it to get better and better when it comes to visual fidelity, and that's insane.

In my opinion it would depend.On if it fits the description of a UFO.Such as (abnormal movement, not responding to the radio, etc).
The only thing something needs to be classified as a UFO is that it is unidentified and flying. it doesn't have to exhibit any characteristics whatsoever. if a plane flys over an airport without its radio transponder activated and nobody can make a visual identification that's a UFO.

I recently bought a little SDR (radio) dongle and antenna for my PC so I'm able to listen in on HEL airport ATC and ACC for aircraft flying over Finnish airspace. Thanks to watching all your videos I actually have some idea what they're talking about.

My pilot friend said, almost all pilots have seen UFOs when they were flying their planes (IRL). and usually they choose to remain silent
ANything you cant identify in the sky is a UFO. The term has nothing to do with aliens in the aviation community.
@@DeagleGamesTV yes, anything we can't identify we can call ufo (especially if we still cant identify after talk to atc). My pilot friend also said that strange things in the sky usually happened when he was flying over the sea at night. As a pilot, my friend is a very logical person. but he couldn't fathom how an object could fly fast and zigzag. That experience he encountered around Borneo
@@caturlifelive I’m not a pilot but I’ve seen them. I don’t know what they are, but they move in a way that tells me they either contain technology that is beyond what (at least) the general public knows about, or they are something else entirely.
There is a lot in this world that seems like it’d be ripped right out of a story book. That’s how I see it. Entities, creatures, spirits, monsters. These things exist, at least in some way.
