One of the most beautiful railway journeys in Switzerland, on a narrow gauge track trough some isolated landscapes , in winter most exiting with fresh snow. I have travelled this journey more than a hundred times as a passengers, but this time , I enjoyed the train drivers view. Thank you.
Even if you don't like trains, how can you fail to be awed by the engineering of this route? Straight through bare rock, hugging the sides of cliffs, viaducts where you can't even see the bottom, over 1000m of climb. Terrific, thanks for sharing it, thumbs up!
I set up your videos to watch while I exercise. It makes a necessary but mindnumbingly boring routine bearable. Thank you for uploading this. The views were varied and interesting without being overly spectacular (like in the high Alps). I like that. Edit: In fact, I think this video easily falls somewhere in the top 5 Fuehrerstandmitfahrte I have ever seen.
The Arosabahn at dawn and under the snow... from the viaduct over the Flessur I thought of a black metal album by a band called Ulver. Snowy woods in a context of immeasurable beauty... We had come down from Arosa many times... now we went up! beautiful to go up through woods and snow.
@wladislaw79 I loved Arosa line, and in snow. It is incredibly beautiful. I love the idea of getting on the train with your skies, lots of people in Switzerland do this.
Wasn't there a plan to build a tunnel from Chur that traveled about 5 km to avoid the street running, but the idea was dropped due to the high construction cost and the fact it didn't really save that much time anyway?
@AnatolyDyatolov The trains run aprox every hour in each direction and the last one up is around 9. You can check the timetable on that link: www.sbb.ch/en
