      I’ve been trying to figure out how to get a longer visa so I can travel for a 3 - 6 months but not having much luck with the convoluted confusing system. What’s the best visa for me?

    • @SideTripLife
      @SideTripLife  2 роки тому +1

      Think the ill named 'STV' visa is still in place (?) which grants 90 days +extension. But best check with your local Thai Embassy (or website).

    to the viewer who cursed at me in a comment insinuating I don't like his music thus people, I approved your comment but it looks like it's being ghosted by YT, not me (I didn't mind but probably for cursing I guess). Anyways will paste my response below as it doesn't appear either:
    Lol. Actually, LOVE old school rap, before it became mostly grown men (black&white) mainly bragging about themselves ala 'imma biggest imma baddest' blah blah.... zzzz ... yawn.... (sorry;) PS: also mentioned not a fan of soppy pop music.... (uh-oh, in trouble again lol;) btw, my fav all time rap tune: ua-cam.com/video/uzgBD2wysuI/v-deo.html peace, STL

    Generally all the TV is in Thai and most of the shows terrible so you're much better to travel with a laptop and watch UA-cam and whatnot ...

    • @liamjoe3690
      @liamjoe3690 6 місяців тому

      TVs are good for hooking your laptop to so you have a larger screen to watch stuff. That’s what I do when I travel. I also recommend a wireless mouse and keyboard. Btw I also do this at home.

    Its really nice you make a video without any music in the video ( only the music of the bars- cafe´s) and just like it really is. How it would be to walk around there. :-) makes the video really calming and good to watch.

    End of January 2022, A trip by car to Koh Chang was my gift to my girlfriend for her birthday (her suggestion though, ha ha), it was the most exciting and amazing 10 days so far in Thailand, and I've been all over it. We stayed at Marina Sands Resort, with their private beach, top place and it was so cheap.

    This looks like a very chill affordable spot away from the more touristy spots like Phuket and Phi Phi. Thing is, Koh Chang isn't really much different than any beach spot you can find on Koh Tao, Koh Phangan or really any of the dozens of islands in Thailand. These spots while charming, all kinda look exactly the same. Still worth checking out.

    My mouth dropped open from about 2 mins in and remained that way til the end! This is so amazing (freezing now in Chicago). How do I do this? YOu're really doing a much bigger thing here than just posting clips of a pretty destination, you're opening the door to life changing adventures to those who dont quite understand how to get there on their own. It's a wonderful thing, and you are really getting me ready to make the jump into my next life adventure. Where do you hang out the most? Are you staying in Thailand right now or elsewhere? How has it been for you with the inter-country travelling? Expensive? Have you found any areas outside of Bangkok that are kind of dangerous?

      Hi, thanks for your comments and query. If you're referring to Sea Flower back then they were asking around 10K/$300 if I recall. Now, with the busiest high season since then I'm not sure they offer monthly rentals, best to contact them. However, I see their daily rentals are still great value from $13 night: www.agoda.com/sea-flower-resort/hotel/koh-chang-th.html?cid=1898974

      Thanks for the suggestion Ethan. Certainly seems popular and sooooo much easier to film/edit, I see many UA-camrs simply walk thru a market for an entire vid (and getting great views). My 'problem' is I film too much content which I then struggle to fit into vids already but will try to fit in more market segments. Thx, STL

    Thanks for these. Going through the playlist and although you couldn't stay there Nature Beach is one of the place's that we'll be staying at End Oct through to mid November for a birthday trip and one that should've been taken 2yrs ago.
    Wonder if you'll stay at any of the other places we have booked. I won't cheat and will note them as: Kacha Resort & Spa, Nature Beach Resort and Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort. I'll come on back after I've finished the list and see how we did eh.
    Glad to see that the island is starting to pick up a bit and hopefully by the time we arrive at the start of high season it'll have it's vibe in full swing ( though if it's not rammed then selfishly I won't be too upset about that even though the poor residents are likely praying it will be)

    I assume daily rate is probably non negotiable, but what about monthly? 7,000? Thailand is the land of bartering. Although 8k w electric & water is a-ok, but what the hell, it never hurts to try, right.
