Both for tourist now the days of the back packer is finished in Thailand. The Russian and Indians have put an end to certain areas in Thailand
How true.
very true
You wrong about koh chang!
One is an island for travelers , the other one is for tourists.
Totally agree and that's a great way to put it !!
Koh chang is the best island I've been to in Thailand I feel in love with it as soon as I got of the ferry
Could you elaborate? Which one for travelers and which for tourists? & why?
@@steeldor koh chang is for traveller hard to get to no package holidays, mass tourist. General tourist hasn't heard of Koh chang but knows of koh sumui.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
When you wrote don´t be an idiot always were a helmet. On that clip you drove on the right side of the road. 🤣🤣🤣 Thx for a informative video. 🙏
Was on Koh Chang during COVID March 2020. Great memories, great people.
Been to both. I'm a Koh Chang kinda guy. 😎
Yeah most seem to say Koh Chang is better, I think it would have been better if we didn't have 2 weeks straight of storms
I have been all over Thailand and koh Samui is my all time favorite and much safer to drive a motorbike
Same with us, Koh Samui is amazing and really fun to ride a bike there! so many trails and exciting roads
Ive read its one of the most dangerous places to drive in Thailand.
Good video, Koh Chang for me but I only normally visit in February when the weather is mostly fine. I love the charm and character of the place. No where better to chill and relax away from the madding crowds.
thanks, everyone is saying Koh Chang is best, I need to go back for round 2
I stayed in lamai Inn 99 bungalows 30 years ago and it's still going strong!!🙂😎
oh wow that's amazing, I bet it was dirt cheap back then !! I wish i could see some photos of it back then
Thank you for the video, I was in Koh Chang once, I wanna go back. Both islands look idyllic! You've earned a new subscriber :) great content
Thanks for the sub!
Very nice & informative video, for me an expat that has lived in Thailand for many years and traveled extensively throughout Thailand, I honestly prefer Koh Chang for its less development quieter laid-back vibes. Koh Samui does have gorgeous beaches lined with fantastic bars, restaurants and shops but its definitely over developed and just to touristy for my liking. IMO Koh Chang still retains much of its original character & authentic charm as it has had since becoming a backpacker favorite back in the 70s - 80s.
we'll have to go back to Koh Chang again I think, we lucked out last time in regard to the weather. 99% of people seem to choose Koh Chang as their fav of the two, thanks for the comment
@@journey_boundYT maybe try coming in April for Songkron 👍
When Samui is in good season, Koh Chang is worst. And vise versa. The timing of two islands should be entirely different period
Koh Chang is the best forsure
Most seem to say this !!
Was your video mirrored or did you really ride in wrong side of the road??
haha just a camera setting mistake there, mirror effect lol
Both are beautiful
this is true!! can't wait to go back again
I like Koh Samui , l love Koh Chang 🤗😊🫰❤️🌴🏝🏖
wow almost everyone is choosing Koh Chang !! I may have to go back for another trip !!
Hi do thye have 7eleven on Koh samui ? and organic fruits nuts and vegetables in grocery shops ? Thank You
Yeah they probably have 50 7 elevens on Samui, they have countless markets and also giant supermarkets, everything you could possible need is there, it's big and highly populated with large towns etc...
@@journey_boundYT Thats good i was concerned that it would be hard finding organic grown veggies etc
If this video left those questions unanswered, that means the video was lacking basic info.
It’s pronounced “song-tau” or more popularly it’s known as a “Baht bus”
thanks for the tip, I had no idea it was known as a baht bus
I even looked up how to say it and still got it wrong lol, I'm so bad
4:37 strict on the wrong side 😀
mirror setting on the video
Not the best islands to compare .. very different and certainly nowhere near the nicest prettiest and / or most beautiful however useful infonfor beginners. Koh chang is for travllers koh samui is for tourists.
When they said “Lamai beach was our favorite beach” I stopped watching. 😂 what a lot of rubbish in this video.
I said it was our favorite place to stay, not best beach, where is your video ?
you drove your scooter on the wrong side
hahaha, it was a camera setting I swear, mirrored lol
Great production.
I'll be heading to Samui shortly for a week or so but have unfinished exploring to do in Phuket...(I know, I know)
Thanks for your perspective.
Are there many Russians in Chang?
you know....when we were there, there weren't many Russians at all. Sri Lanks was a different story, there was countless of them there
I live here and can say I have not seen many if any Russians, mostly European maybe Swiss & Fins the most, Some US, UK, & Australians. Lately more Chinese tourists.
In my opinion, the fact that you highly recommend hiring motor scooters without mentioning the real dangers is very irresponsible. Many many tourists die on Thai roads every year because they’re not prepared or don’t have enough experience riding in South East Asia. Thankfully, most people who post a travel blog mention it.
if people don't understand that motorbikes are dangerous, they shouldn't be riding motorbikes, why would I have to spoon feed adults common sense ?
@@journey_boundYTthats not the main issue. More importantantly, without IDP and a real motorcycle license there’s zero insurance coverage as so very evident by the many gofundme campaigns for tourists unable to cover medical costs and liabilities after accidents….Thailand requires full motorcycle license for “scooters” (which are usually 100cc and up)
Hi
