Haven't seen Madame Webb, and I'm just annoyed because they got Adam Scott to get Uncle Ben and it was for this movie? How does Sony keep getting good actors for these movies?
I hope the people who treated the Marvels unfairly realize how good of a female led cast we had in that movie and how it came together in comparison to the poorly engineered Madame Webb cast and storyline.
I love the idea of the 60s setting, I think it can set Reed’s intellect ahead of his time which is harder in a modern world with nano-particles. Also it may explain the TVA’s retro look, with Kang (a descendent of Reed) taking inspiration from his technology
I’ve always thought it would be a good idea to explain where the X-men and FF have been in the MCU and its that maybe there was some kind of No More Mutants event or some kind of FF adventure that erases them from the timeline or banished them to not be allowed in the same timeline as the main MCU
My only concern is if this movie is indeed set in the 60s, then how does this time period/setting and eventual time jump affect characters like Alicia Masters (Thing's girlfriend) and especially how they will handle Doctor Doom in the MCU since he's been done dirty in live action every time. He is Marvel's greatest villain for a good reason, so I really hope if Doom was around during the '60s, then will they still adapt the character's epic back-story from the ' Doctor Doom: Book of Doom' comic, or will they do something new that could possibly hinder Doom's potential to become one of the greatest cinematic villains.
@@milkiassamuel780yep I was wondering this too, if the FF come from the past or a different universe set in the past, will Doom come with them or is Doom only from the present losing his past connection to Reed

Going off of WandaVision, it, Shang Chi, and Werewolf By Night I feel were to projects that captured what the first phase has, that being a genre movie that so happens to also be marvel. WandaVision was a intrigue sitcom, Shang Chi was a martial arts flick, while Werewolf was a gothic horror movie. In the same vein Ironman was a military drama, Hulk was a monster flick, Thor was Shakespeare, and Cap was a wwII movie. If F4 can do this same xyz movie that so happens to be marvel, then we’ll be back on it.
Quinn having to prove himself as the Human Torch for the fans would help alot his portrayal of the character and his struggles. Many people just see the Human Torch as just a arrogant goofball and forget other important aspects of the character, namely Johnny's growth from a boy to man. He can be fun and naive but he knows when to be serious when needs and is always ready to risk his life for his family.
@@ianomondi3152 They can smooth out faces now sure, but body movements especially in action scenes always give away the true age. Idk how they plan to get around that.
@@nancykerrigan Not saying they are. The F4 are some of the most important characters in Marvel so I’d assume that they would stick around for more than just a few movies though. At least a few F4 movies and a handful of Avengers ones. That’s as many as RDJ did and it was 10 years. I just think that they should cast everyone a little younger to counter the fact that they will age in these roles through the story.
Johnny setting Peter's book bag on fire and Peter creating a water based /fire extinguisher web to stop Johnny from flaming on live action will be awesome 😂😂😂
I just don't know if we have enough time with the character. We're probably only getting a few more films out of Tom Holland, and some of those are big ensemble films. Plus, he can't show up on TV. I think we're gonna get him paired up with Daredevil, Johnny, etc. at some point but not to a significant level of development.
It’s painful the amount of people who think the DS2 reference of ‘FF charting in the 60s’ is about this movie and not about the actual band names FF who charted in the 60s
Given how many times they've had that matchup before I'd like this F4, just this once, to have nothing to do with Dr. Doom. I know it's a long shot, but I'd like to see *anyone* else as the antagonist.
I do think it'd be interesting to set it in the 60s entirely on account of the fact that you could have Doom introduced in the 60s and then still be around in the current day for no other reason than "he's Victor Von Doom, of course he solved aging for himself"
Dude is 48 and he finally got his break just a few years ago after acting for many years for scraps. He did 1 espisode appeareance for random shows and the odd shitty movie side character. He's finally getting money and recognition, he doesn't get to take a break. This is his lifetime chance, he won't be getting new big action roles like these in his late 50s, specially if he decides to take a break now. He can't let this pass him by. No one with a brain would.
I hope we can get a barbenheimer like vibe around superman legacy and F4. Like it feels like an event when these 2 movies release and instead of a rivalry, they elevate eachother and word to mouth becomes that you have to see both. Fantastic legacy perhaps
I think he looks so different from what everyone's objective Reed looks like because he's supposed to be the one Reed who chooses his family over science throughout the multiverse and I can believe him doing smartest man in the universe with a heart of gold instead of steel.
Going through the comics it depends on what arc you read but I can definitely see Pedro playing Reed. While Reed is a scientist and nerd he does come off as an adventure type Indiana Jones figure. Plus he served in the army. I would highly recommend Marvel Adventures Fantastic Four 2005.
It did take forever but I feel like that's a good sign that they want to make sure everything is perfect. They only get to do this once. You can't just reboot Fantastic 4. It's interesting that actors who weren't around when this was announced are now in the movie. It's like this cast could only happen at this specific moment in time. Plus, casting one character is hard enough. Not only do they have to work with each other in the specific way they want the family to interact but each character has to separately work within the larger MCU with characters they will interact with and be consistent from movie to movie. I'm glad we finally have them.
I first became aware of Ebon Moss-Bachrach in 'NOS4A2', where he was a troubled, undependable, but also loving working-class father of the central character. I've loved him ever since. I'm with you on this as good casting, and I'm also grateful to have a Jewish actor playing the role.
I think that they cast the ages with intention. I think Reed and Sue will already have been married for like 8 years and the age gap will be addressed and part of the character arc. The Disk Horse on X The Everything App™️ will be utterly insufferable, but it can work as a story point.
Even though Joseph Quinn & Pedro Pascal wouldn't have been my first picks to play Johnny and Reed, I'm still open to it. Vanessa Kirby and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Sue & Ben are FANTASTIC choices (pun intended). Overall I really like this cast and I think they got a really talented group of actors to play Marvel's First Family and hopefully really do justice to the team that Fox couldnt. I also love the 60's esthetic and the wholesome family vibe from the poster which is everything I've wanted to see from the F4. My only concern is if this movie is indeed set in the 60s, then how does this time period/setting and eventual time jump affect characters like Alicia Masters (Thing's girlfriend) and especially how they will handle Doctor Doom in the MCU since he's been done dirty in live action every time. I also excited to see the fan base discourse between both Marvel and DC films in 2025 which will be very fun to see especially since I'm super excited for both Superman Legacy and Fantastic Four. Could be the next Barbenheimer
Completely agree r.e Wandavision. More than any of the others it had the best fleshed out story and felt like a story they wanted to tell and then created the format around it. A lot of the shows feel like they have a certain number of slots to fill and have chosen the characters and story from there.
This has been my casting line-up (except Pedro) since Disney bought Fox, I was hoping to see Krasinski back full time but I’m excited either way. (I’m British so we’ve had Joseph Quinn pre-stranger things)
One Pedro looks just like Burt Reynolds. People are actually trying to say they made Reed a Chilean, when in reality if Pedro first name was Peter nobody would think he wasn’t just a guy from Texas.
the thing w joseph quinn is that while thehre different characters, his Eddie in stranger things has some pretty similar qualities as Johnny, especially in eraly s4. the problem is that thats is when he is bad. he doesnt sell the youthful fun-loving energy the character needed. he sold the outsider sad on the inside great which is the part people got attatched to, but am i the only one who remember just how anmpyed everyone was at Eddie during his first episodes? it was just just a fun-vacuum. he isnt that old but he felt like an elderly man trying to seem cool.
I feel like Pedro is gonna channel that gruff dad energy into playing an isolated scientist but he’s mostly gonna lean on charismatic action hero to play the leader of the team and the romantic interest to Sue Storm, so it might be a mashup of the two types of characters we know him best for just remixed to fit Mr. Fantastic
The moment I saw this news I was like WHAT is Nando's TAKE!? We need to know! (Commenting to feed the algorithm, I should just watch it on Nebula but I already subscribe there, so here I am doing the LORD'S WORK... but also thanks for these videos)
I am just not thrilled about Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards at all. I love him - but I am also so burned out from seeing him everywhere and he's already the star of a major Disney property. Feels like a missed opportunity. Would've loved to see Glenn Howerton or someone else like him in the role instead
@@Byronic19134 That's true, you might be right about that. I'm hoping once I see more I'll be on more on board. I was kinda rolling my eyes at the thought of the third Deadpool bringing in Wolverine and then I saw the trailers and now I'm pumped for it so what do I know lol
OMG William Jackson Harper would have been an absolute nightmare of a casting as people are already complaining that Reed isn’t a Chilean, as if these people have any idea what Chileans look like because it is actually considered a “white’ country. But still Harper would have killed all the momentum Marvel gained from the Deadpool trailer and would have doomed the movie because filming began. Like you do understand that right? Aren’t you a Philly guy like myself too? I feel like Philly is one of the most unbiased cities on the planet in terms of those things, but reality is reality.
Also for some reason I get the vibe that Pedro is going to play a sort of aloof version of Reed Richard’s who needs Sue to keep him grounded and on point from distractions. That would be the ideal dynamic imo.
Pedro's Reed is giving me Chris Pratt as Mario vibes. Most dislike the choice, and they'll probably shoot themselves in the foot when the movie is out, but that's probably just me. Still, it's finally done. We're free!
I hope it takes place in the 60’s. Cause i always thought that the Origin of the Fantastic Four is rooted in the 60s. Think about it. If you made the F4 origin story in today’s world, the technology and advancements in space exploration would’ve prevented the freak accident that caused their origin. And also given that Incredibles (some consider it as the Best F4 film) also has a very 60s look, it makes perfect sense
The color palette of the artwork looks very 80s and/or 50s-60s. Aqua & pink was big in 50s/60s interior decor & had a resurgence in the 80s (Miami Vice) Curious to see what decade the movie takes place in. One thing I liked about the 1st FF film was that it acknowledged celebrity culture, paparazzi & social media posting. It was the first super hero movie I remember doing that.

Aside from good writing, Im really hoping they give plenty of time to the cgi artists to make this look great. I want Thanos level cgi for the thing and Johnny storm
People need to chill the eff out. He was great in Stranger Things.
Worried about how old Pedro is considering when people sign up for the MCU it’s for 10+ years but besides that I’m excited!
i dont think its a worry cause they can de-age him tbh🤷♀
Honestly, are they still doing these 10 year contracts?
@@ianomondi3152 They can smooth out faces now sure, but body movements especially in action scenes always give away the true age. Idk how they plan to get around that.
Reed Richards is in his early 40s in every comic story and Sue is in her early 30s
9:41 I'd love an MCU bromance between Spider-Man & Human Torch lol
Johnny setting Peter's book bag on fire and Peter creating a water based /fire extinguisher web to stop Johnny from flaming on live action will be awesome 😂😂😂
I just don't know if we have enough time with the character. We're probably only getting a few more films out of Tom Holland, and some of those are big ensemble films. Plus, he can't show up on TV. I think we're gonna get him paired up with Daredevil, Johnny, etc. at some point but not to a significant level of development.
Bag-Man in live action, lets gooooo
same and i would love to see them have a race like they did in the ultimate spider-man game
It’s painful the amount of people who think the DS2 reference of ‘FF charting in the 60s’ is about this movie and not about the actual band names FF who charted in the 60s
The line is clearly a double entendre.
Wait what?
Now Marvel needs to keep this energy and cast a Romani actor for Doom. They already messed it up for Wanda.
Yes and Doom is even bigger!
Given how many times they've had that matchup before I'd like this F4, just this once, to have nothing to do with Dr. Doom.
I know it's a long shot, but I'd like to see *anyone* else as the antagonist.
@@Vespuchiangalactus is supposedly to be the main villain of the movie
@@humidboii1758 Galactus is a world-ending threat. I really hope that's not the case for their first movie.
They got a Jewish actor to play Ben, so this may get a chance
I do think it'd be interesting to set it in the 60s entirely on account of the fact that you could have Doom introduced in the 60s and then still be around in the current day for no other reason than "he's Victor Von Doom, of course he solved aging for himself"
This dude ripped out Thanos’ spine, he definitely solved aging in a weekend
@@leotheliongames your think it'd take him a weekend, you underestimate DOOM!
I’m honestly surprised that Pedro doesn’t want a break from all of these franchises but good for him his career/work ethic is admirable for sure
dude probably likes getting paid money for doing stuff
Dude is 48 and he finally got his break just a few years ago after acting for many years for scraps. He did 1 espisode appeareance for random shows and the odd shitty movie side character.
He's finally getting money and recognition, he doesn't get to take a break. This is his lifetime chance, he won't be getting new big action roles like these in his late 50s, specially if he decides to take a break now. He can't let this pass him by. No one with a brain would.
@@92brunodespecially now that he signed to the mcu, he’s gonna be booked for a whileeee
You can tell how much Madame Webb hurt him by how many times he says the word fantastic and doesn’t acknowledge it.
Matt Shakman directed my favorite episode of Psych and my favorite episode of Always Sunny so I’m forever sold.
I really like the original casting, honestly. Everyone but Alba was perfect (and that's partly because they way oversexualized her)
Michael Chiklis as Ben Grimm was awesome.
@@wolverineminer Yeah, he sold the emotions of being the Thing so well.
Once they’re fully introduced I would love a show called “Wiccan & Hulking” that plays out like a very standard romcom but they’re just in space
I also excited to see the fan base discourse between both Marvel and DC films in 2025 which will be very fun to see especially since I'm super excited for both Superman Legacy and Fantastic Four. Could be the next Barbenheimer
I wanted Matt Smith Mr. Fantastic
Getting daddy Pedro will always be a win.
Completely agree r.e Wandavision. More than any of the others it had the best fleshed out story and felt like a story they wanted to tell and then created the format around it. A lot of the shows feel like they have a certain number of slots to fill and have chosen the characters and story from there.
This is a day of rejoicing for Nando fans
This has been my casting line-up (except Pedro) since Disney bought Fox, I was hoping to see Krasinski back full time but I’m excited either way.
(I’m British so we’ve had Joseph Quinn pre-stranger things)
I love that you brought up Johnny Quest and Buck Rogers for Pedro. I saw the casting and immediately thought a Burt Reynolds type action team leader.
Fantastic
Johnny to me looks like hes in like a mechanic's jumpsuit like he's the one that works on maintenance for the fantasticar and stuff like that
I’m so excited for July of 2025. I hope both Superman Legacy and The Fantastic Four come out great!
I truly hope so too🤞
The moment I saw this news I was like WHAT is Nando's TAKE!? We need to know! (Commenting to feed the algorithm, I should just watch it on Nebula but I already subscribe there, so here I am doing the LORD'S WORK... but also thanks for these videos)
6:39 yeah definitely would have been a long shot in 2002
I know this really good 8 year old, he's the perfect Johnny Storm!
The movie is a couple years away tho bro so by that time it will be different.
@@Byronic19134 That's true, you might be right about that. I'm hoping once I see more I'll be on more on board. I was kinda rolling my eyes at the thought of the third Deadpool bringing in Wolverine and then I saw the trailers and now I'm pumped for it so what do I know lol
A terrible horrible casting, lets put Pedro Pascal on everything...
i like your videos but pls stop adding qualifiers to every statement. just say what you mean
This has just given me such an adrenaline shot of hope for the MCU
To have to much hope there's a possibility they'll mess it up.
Pedro was also fantastic with Nic Cage in Massive Talent so having him in the cast is quite exciting, even if maybe I don’t 100% understand it
OMG William Jackson Harper would have been an absolute nightmare of a casting as people are already complaining that Reed isn’t a Chilean, as if these people have any idea what Chileans look like because it is actually considered a “white’ country.
