All Canadians very politely request an Alpha Flight movie. Could be an interesting way to introduce the new Wolverine as well, given his history with the team.

You could just have someone say "X-gene? Narcissistic much Professor?" then Hank says "Well, actually, the X is for unknown part of the gene that causes such wildly different mutations".
@@ProjektTaku I'm pretty sure that's the in-universe explanation, that the X stands for X-Factor due to the random nature of the gene's presentation once triggered.
Personally, I think Excalibur could work. Not explicitly tied to the X-Men (at least not originally), it just happened to have some former X-Men on the team. But I think it would make sense to have Captain Britain as the main character. You could introduce his wife, Meggan, & while not a mutant, you could tie in Black Knight someway. For me, the big character to introduce would be Psylocke, who could easily become a core X-Men member whenever they do show up.
I could see a Disney+ series introducing the individual backstories, episodically. One episode for Xavier, one for Colossus & Magik, etc. And then the first movie would not require having seen those since a lot of people would not have done so, but viewers would be motivated to go watch them before or after having seen the movie.
I know Ms. Marvel has recently been re-imagined as a mutant rather than an Inhuman (which the character’s creator wanted) in both the MCU and Iman Vellani’s recent comic run. I wonder how Kamala could fit into the MCU’s vision for the X-Men, or how she could lead to their introduction
Funny how both Carol and Kamala now have a history with Mutants! Imagine some mention of that in the new MARVELS movie??? Hala the Accuser might say something like, "Our battle is as old as time itself. The Noble Kree versus the Skin-stealing Skrulls... the Divine Eternals vs the Menacing Deviants… Thanos… Even now on Earth, the same conflict arises - Order versus Chaos! Eugenics vs Evolution! A once promising future for your species, threatened by the spawning of more and more Monsters, Mistakes, and Mutations!" And then Kamala sucker-punches her and says, "God doesn't make mistakes."
I like the idea of one movie and one show every year before you do the grand X-Men movie. This would give them time to strongly develop characters, including their personalities in a personal relationships and their expanding power range like what they did with Scarlet with. I think a port job was done not developing properly Jean/Phoenix, Rouge, storm and others. I’ve been watching the 90’s animated series that did a great job. Fox missed the ball on introducing some very interesting enemies including Shadow King, Mr. Sinister, Omega Red, Juggernaut and others.
Darwin didn’t first appear in Generation X. He popped up a little over a decade later in Brubaker’s X-Men: Deadly Genesis. You may be thinking of Mondo.
Personally unless you go with Apocalypse, Magneto or Selene for lore reasons I really believe the X-Men team should be the first introduction to the mutant population as a whole. Honestly us the fans are hurting for Magneto representation since both actors were great. Selene could be very doable especially since we could tie her into a blade film or something similar. Selene could also be dropped in something magical. Her being an external, mutant vampire witch gives her a lot of wiggle room. Apocalypse is a good obvious point. In the kang era it would be dope if somewhere he mentioned a *problem* he happened to come across while in Egypt .. My perfect X-Men team is the original Ultimates Team. Storm, Cyclops,Jean, beast, Colossus (With Logan, Bobby joining as first recruits) That team is a perfect blend of the OG team and popular members post that team. Not to mention Giant Sized Xmen was one of the most popular issues .
My quick thoughts: -It would make sense for Weapon X to show up in a Captain America or Thunderbolts movie, it seems like something Val would be involved with. -The Starjammers could work in a Captain Marvel movie or something else in the cosmic side of the MCU. -Gambit's intro could be an Ocean's 11 or To Catch A Thief-esque mini series. -Mystique would be a great villain for Black Widow 2. You could even have a post-credits stinger with Magneto. 🤷♀
They should definitely do the original team and have some of them be Teenagers - Cyclops and Jean be 16 or 17 years old - Iceman be 13 to 15 years old - Angel be 19 to 23 years old - Beast be 25 to 35 years old - Professor X be 45 to 60 years old
@@Алексей545-т6б why wouldn’t that work If they’re young and mutants aren’t widespread with only several older mutants like Apocalypse, Selene, Sabretooth, Wolverine, Magneto, Professor X and Beast existing but not known that would explain a lack of mutant hate
@@JOVONOBecause hatred against mutant kind is Key stone in all mutant related stories. This basicly the reason of existence for X man and Brotherhood of Mutants
You could do Freedom Force to introduce the Brotherhood characters like Destiny, Mystique, Pyro, Avalanche and Blob, then have them turn on the government when they meet Magneto.
So I haven't read every single X-men comic so I don't know if there is actually precedent for her being an ally to him in the comics but I think having her being associated with Magneto in the movies again is a massive mistake like just have her be her own thing. Also I feel most stuff I've read she broadly seems to give little shits about mutants as a whole and only really cares about people she is close to (Destiny) and I really hope they'd keep that trait in the movies if she gets added and I feel having her team up with Magneto means you'd have to remove that trait
I would kill for an X-Factor TV show adapting Investigations. That comic was the best series nobody was reading. Think Fringe but with the cast of Firefly. If you only ever read one X-Men Comic, make it the self contained miniseries that started the run, Madrox - Multiple Choice by Peter David, in which Multiple Man imvestigates his own murder. *chef's kiss*
They should introduce several ancillary X-men characters through Disney + special presentations similar to Werewolf by Night. One should be Alpha Flight or Weapon X that introduces Wolverine, Storm in the Wakanda spinoff show, Magneto in a Genosha spinoff, Gambit in a Guild of Thieves show etc. Several of these projects would tie directly into a ensemble X-men film. They could also show brief cameos of the core team members in every other MCU movie. This would organically show these characters in a preliminary stage that naturally leads into their Avengers-type scale film.
I wonder if they would use Kamala as the new mutant POV character, especially if Xavier has had a secret active school for a generation or so already. The X-men can be a new initiative but the school should precede the team by 15 years or so, so that the first X-men line up were the first generation of students that are now adult superheroes.
This is the way that seems to make sense in the MCU. Kamala Khan quickly moves up from teenage fan-girl to leader & mentor of mutants discovering their powers.
@@NybergCarl because she isn't a bloody mutant (or shouldn't be). There are so many characters who this could be but isn't. Jubilee, for example. Marvel have the opportunity to use some lesser known mutants as a POV character, but retcon another character to self-insert her into a more popular IP then she was part of previously. Kamala Khan is more interesting as an inhuman, the change is only motivated to force her into being more important, when she really isn't, then convince the comics to follow suit. It annoys me.
Month 3 of me asking Nando can he make a fancasting video of Mass Effect characters if we hypothetically had a live action coming. Need some of his Patreons to help me out.
Great video. I love the eXiles idea especially if they do it in the multiverse phase. I still think a great way to bring mutants into the MCU is the same way I was originally exposed to mutants as a kid. With Firestar and Iceman in the 4th Marvel/Sony Spidey movie “Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends.” Using Spider-Man who is now easily the MCUs biggest active superhero to introduce the mutant world to audiences who might not be as familiar with mutants or the X-men (remember the original movie would be 25 years old and First Class would be 15 years old by the time this came out). It also helps show where mutants fit in the larger MCU by immediately having mutants interact with a marquee hero. Also, Spidey is at a great place where the end of “Far From Home” left off to be able to throw this drastic of a change into the story. Peter is alone and heading to college and to be able to afford rent he places an ad for roommates and Angelica Jones and Bobby Drake two friends from “high school” who are new to NYC and don’t really know anyone else respond and move in. Eventually they figure out Pete is Spidey and in a clinch fight with a “villain” (I’ll get to that) they appear and help Spidey in their superhero guises. They all confide their secret identities to each other and Peter is ecstatic because these two are for him a combination of/replacement for both Ned/MJ AND Raimi Peter/Amazing Peter. They decide to band together to stop the movies villain. As for the villain, as a way to introduce the larger mutant world would be another mutant. I’d rip off the basic plot of the VideoMan episode and have the villain be a mutant who isn’t evil per se but simply can’t control their powers (but NOT use VideoMan he’s too silly.) Eventually when they defeat/capture the villain Angelica and Bobby explain their High School to Pete and that Xavier’s would be a good place to take the villain instead of turning him over to Damage Control. The post credits scene could be the villain being introduced to Professor X and a couple of the mutants that will feature in the X-Men movies. The Villain should be a lesser known (to general audiences) X-man character who is powerful/destructive/dangerous and a good long term member of the X-Men, if possible one who hasn’t really been featured in the previous movies. Jubilee, Boom Boom, Rictor, Polaris, and Chamber would all be good choices. Also since MJ and Ned were race swapped in the MCU Firestar and Iceman are characters who could easily also be diversified for the MCU but as for representation I don’t think that would be nearly as important as making Bobby explicitly gay from the get go would be which I think is another great reason to include them.
The OutBack crew began my X-Men run when I just a kid. They caught my eye quick. But X-Factor make alot of sense. The second team of course. Cross over stories would be a excellent idea. Both Summer boys and their teams fight along each other. Good stuff.
I’d love an Exiles movie, I know people are getting a little tired of multi-verse stuff but I’m a big fan of that book so it would be cool to see that adapted
I feel like Generation-X would be the closest gen to introduce, probably using Kamala Khan as a gateway to them, like, in age and stuff. I could see Jubilee and Kamala interacting and then forming the Generation-X class
This makes me feel so old (because I am). Xmen got it big after I'd aged out of comics. I got back into graphic novels as my kids started reading them. The Xmen movies have been"fine." Your suggestions all work for folks who aren't huge Xmen fans that are looking for good movies
Working for a superhero boss (Time Broker) who sees himself as the hero in the war against chaos, but who is blasé about killing the heroes who are taking the risks seems like a metaphor that's current and would resonate.
As a comics reader for nearly 30 years it's been *wild* to see characters who I never in a million years would have thought could be in movies or on tv, get to be characters in the wider world. People know who BOTH Hawkeyes are now and that show had The Swordsman in it. Porcupine was in She-Hulk. The Prowler is a name people know now!! Prowler!!!!! But if the MCU make a Gen X movie, and I end up being able to buy a mug or a shirt with freaking SKIN on it? I might lose my actual mind.
we need X-Terminators Jubilee, Boom Boom, Dazzler and Laura Kinney Wolverine girls trip movie. Could also do a Starjammers movie disguised as a Captain Marvel because I think she traveled with them for a bit when she was called Binary
Not sure it would work as a real jumping-off point but New X-Men -- the Kyle and Yost run, not the Morrison stretch -- stands out to me as a somewhat underrated X-run. Then again, I just love the Decimation-era stuff, so moody.
seems like a perfect way to utilise the feature presentation format. lots of ways to build things up with material that may not stretch over a full series or movie that said, I definitely want an Exiles series 🙏
I love the idea of a Exiles movie bringing in underutilized X-Men characters like James McAvoys professor x and Michael fasteners Magneto, evan peters quicksilver, anya taylor joys Magik and Alexandra shipps storm etc also juggernaut from deadpool 2
It's like Peter Parker being in high school: yes, that was an important part of the comics, but also it wasn't as long as people think and it's way overdone.
If they made an X-Factor show/movie putting Cyclops there as the A lister would make a lot of sense. Havok is on that team so them being on a team together could be really cool. I also think him being on a military funded team gives him a reason to be such a good strategist like he is in the comics.
If we did Exiles today, the roster could be: Blink (Days of Future Past Movie) Morph (X-Men ‘97) One of the Deadpool characters (not Deadpool or Wolverine) John Krazinski Reed Richards (If he’d be willing to do it) Maybe Captain Carter However for the animated characters I think it would be cool if they did the Who Framed Roger Rabbit look. Especially with Morph.
I love this. I just saw a video on the origins of Fire Star, which talked about her different encounters before working with the X-Men. I don't know if something like that would be a good movie or something on D+. They probably have no interest on following a villain, but Emma Frost would be great for that. Even a show on the Hellfire Club would be good.
I like this idea if we see maybe a couple films with young amateur ragtag teams trying to develop chemistry and stumbling through the team building process. Then midway through say the second movie the 90s cartoon team shows up in matching uniforms working in perfect unison, completely outclassing the youngsters. Have the theme music come in and all with a dramatic entrance. Later we could see that behind the scenes they struggle, too. But seeing them be the “Pros” led by Scott and jean would be super fun!
I do really like the idea of introducing individual characters first and building up to the formation of the X-Men, like we saw with the Avengers. But Introducing them as other X teams before the X-Men exist doesn't sit right with me.
If it’s available in 2027 or so, Kevin Ferge should license “Riverdale” and just run their Gen Z mutant teenaged mutant soap opera on the CW. I think that David Zawslav likes money too much to raise any objections.
The Blue Or Gold Teams One Led by Storm ( Blue ) and its members are : Wolverine, Kitty Pryde, Jean Grey, Jubilee, Gentle, Monet, Colossus, Nightcrawler, and Forge Gold Team is lead by: Cyclops and Emma Frost, Angel, Beast, Iceman, Rogue, Gambit, Banshee, Havoc, and Polaris. One is like the FBI and the other is like the CIA. Storm is mentoring Gentle and Monet.
You read my mind. Morlock movie as the first big x-men movie, it gives a ground level introduction to the world, different than other superhero movie, told from a different perspective. Also leans on the theme of a marginalized group of people…. I say marrow, who then brought up to the x-men.
I would like to see a series called something like X-Chronicles and each episode is centered in one important mutant, like one of ciclops, one of wolverine, one of jean, one of rogue and gambit and maybe made them a couple from the start, i think that could be kind of cool
I've been workshopping an idea for the eXiles for a second. What if it was a show where a couple of mutants or hero's from some of the past shows are brought on. Like Blink, Warpath and Polaris from the gifted, Cloak and Dagger, maybe even some of the Runaways. They could even have a run in with Dan Steven's Legion in place of Proteus
My pitch for a show is a show called The Worst X-Man ever, a high school drama about Bailey Hoskins, who has the power to explode, but only once. The show would follow him in Xavier's school, trying to live among mutants much better than him. One season before each film, and it can introduce students later. Bailey's friends would be the really weird mutants we don't really see much of, like Maggot, Beak, Glob Herman, Choir, El Guapo, Eye-Boy etc Armour or Jubilee act as the cool older girl. Banshee (a retired X-Man), and Forge act as teachers. The school bullies are the "omega gang", actually a group of alpha level mutants led by Quentin Quire, the only Omega level mutant in the school. The show would follow the adventures of the outcasts as they try to prove, while the X-Men are out on missions, that they are heroes too.
There’s 10 X-Related comics coming out at the end of October (you could 1 take off since it’s a reprint) we could do a phase of just X-Men if Marvel decided that’s what they wanted to do
You can use X-Factor to introduce Cyclops. Have the initial storyline be Madrox following up on the disappearance of his former team-mate, Havoc, and then we introduce Cyclops at the end. You can do it a bunch of ways: The funniest is to have it be that it turns out Havoc has just been on a secret mission with his brother, and Madrox has been taking down this whole criminal conspiracy based totally on a misunderstanding/miscommunication. The most dramatic is to have whatever final assault on whoever snatched up Havoc gets a helping hand from a mystery mutant with kinetic vision. Or you can do a cheeky little just-before-the-credits line/mid credits scene of "How'd you know know I was in danger?" "Your brother hired me", and then we get a flash-back to before the first episode, and we see the new Cyclops actor, eyes burning behind his red sunglasses, "Mr Madrox? I have a case for you." I like your suggestion of "one A/B-tier Mutant per thing before the X-Men movie", and my 90's X-Men fanboy demands that we have Gambit on the team/making an appearance...which is rough, since he is not much of a team player. He could be on the Corporate X-Factor team, but I feel like a more interesting use for him is playing him as magic-adjacent. Like, Remy hangs out with Jack Russell, and Blade, and Black Knight and Brother Voodoo, so maybe they can do a Howling Commandos or a Midnight Suns Season 2 appearance of the group playing cards with/recruiting "Our Friend Remy" for a job. "He's the best thief in the city. And he blows stuff up."
imo a pretty good start for madrox would be a translation of an early x-factor investigations story (that i admittedly don’t remember so well) where a dupe of his is murdered and it turns out the culprit is another dupe who ran away and built a family. pretty predictable but it’s probably the story i know of that best takes the concept of a “multiple man” and really runs with it
Generation X is my favorite super hero team! I'd love if they got some love on the big screen. Darwin is another favorite of mine, but he was never on Generation X. He first showed up in a book called X-Men Deadly Genesis where we learned that he was part of an unknown X-Men team in between First Class and Giant Sized. He returns in the present and becomes a member of Havok's space-faring X-Men before joining Gen X alum Monet in the 3rd iteration of X-Factor 😁
If you think about it, Excalibur is the perfect is the perfect starting point foe an X team. Ideally the captain America franchise would have been perfect, but due to the events of Winter Soilder and SHIELD, it was a missed opportunity. SHIELD’s secrets may have been revealed to the world, but not MI6. GB had a greater participation in WWII than the US, so maybe before cap ever showed up, they already had Magneto in stasis. And due to the treatment of mutants then, they chose to remain in hiding. All this comes from secret invasion’s over exposure to Sonya’s character. Maybe she and gaya awaken something to fight the skulls, that forces the X-men to surface
What your describing is 9:38 basically what if, i think they will more likely be their own what if season or after loki we get a show called tva where morfius recruits some mutant variants to deal with mutant issues in the multiverse
They should start with Krakoa It fits with the geopolitical emergence of the EternalsAsgardians, Skrulls, Namor ‘s people, Wankadans, intro Doom, intro the Russians and Krakoa announces its existence on the world stage . Call it the World War 3 trilogy
I think a good place to start would be to have an X-men movie that starts with the first team but they die and the rest of the movie is the second team. The whole thing can be focused on Xavier and his perspective while building up the other characters like Wolverine and Storm
*Actually* going one the Jim Lee era perhaps go X-men gold and X-men Blue both contribute towards the movement but with a distinction between the rosters.
If they do Exiles, they could even pluck some of those guys from Fox projects - Blink from Age of Apocalypse, Thunderbird from The Gifted (or was that the other one?), etc.
Love Exiles especially Mimic vs Captain America in Skrull Gladiator. I also would love an X-Men 2099 show. Give it a Guardians meets BladeCenter vibe. Story can be far enough away from main X-team that specifics aren't important just that they were heroes in the past. I know you're about to fancast Alpha Flight and Batman Beyond, I'm like combine them into an the future X-Men. Also would have killed for any cameo of them in Across the Spiderverse. Basically have miles run across Bloodhawk and mistake him for a future Vulture. "No I'm a good guy". Also Mutant X aka Havok and the edgy First Cass.
I really like the idea of introducing the "core" X-Men in other projects, so I tried to "sketch it out" in my head Let's go by your schedule of one movie + one show per year and a five-year plan where year five is the year when we get the actual X-Men movie, and let's say that not every project has to have a mutant that "carries over" to the main team, but if it does - cool. Year 1: We start with an origin movie for Cyclops and an Alfa Flight show, that's where we're getting Scott and Logan respectively (I know a lot of people are fed up with Logan, but the same amount of people wants to see Wolverine on screen again, so win-win, we don't make him the cornerstone, but he's... Around). Those are probably flashbacks that are inserted into the MCU reboot, which is kinda happening, I guess Year 2: Storm solo movie (maybe we see how she gets to America on her own, without Charles having to go to Africa?). That's another flashback movie. As for the show... I think a Magneto/Brotherhood show could be really interesting, just... Diving deep into some of the villains before the team actually gets to face them. Year 3: Jean Grey solo movie, another flashback thing, you get the gist. Instead of a show, we get a special presentation called "The Sinister Files". Since Mister Sinister could be a good (main) villain for the first MCU X-Men movie, why not introduce him? Show off his life, his whole mad scientist shtick, lean into the campiness... Fun! Year 4: Iceman and Beast, a coming-of-age buddy cop flashback thing, and an X-Factor Investigations show. Nobody carries over from there, but we know that the team exists and maybe Havok (who was obviously introduced in Scott's origin movie) hangs out with them Year 5: We get the show first, and it's called (and I'm really proud of the solution I came up with)... N-Xt Gen! Yeah, I figured out how to make Generation X work without sounding like Gen V. That's where we get Jubilee. She "graduates" from the kid team and becomes a POV character in the upcoming X-Men movie. The roster is: Scott, Jean, Logan, Ororo, Bobby, Hank, and Jubilee as the POV character (Angel, I'm sorry, but nobody likes you. Kidding, kidding). It's not the first time the X-Men are fighting as a team in-universe, but a) it's the first time we see it happen, b) it's the first time Jubilee is involved and c) it's the first encounter between the team and Mister Sinister. So, what do you think? I think it's a good starting roster for MCU (if I was actually developing a perfect X-Team for myself, people would've thought I was Bendis because it would've been all Kitty Pryde with random sprinkles of Dazzler, Micromax and Madrox), it has all the familiar faces you'd expect, but we'd get to spend way more time with them than ever before
I like the idea of 2nd generation X-Factor being a Disney plus show. I think they can pull off introducing these characters before the x-men especially if writers took the same approach that the mcu did with Spiderman as well as adopting the idea that mutants and X-men were here all along it could work. And on a grander scale these spin off teams always referencing the revered X-men/Xavier school could be good promo leading up to the actual team/movie debuts. The writers can have fun with characters who have direct links to X-men members and being X-men/Xavier alums themselves... the possibilities are endless
I’ve always thought a Weapon X show made sense. Each 1-2 episodes focuses on a separate mutant that went through the process. Sabretooth, Deadpool, Wolverine, Sauron, etc. Could really add any mutant to that list to give a background. Someone like Omega Red, add him to an episode.
I feel like it should be the general title “X-Men: ____” and it’s just different areas of the culture so we can see what’s going on everywhere for different mutants since their powers all unique. While also putting out another movie maybe the same yr abt the X-men proper as the 2nd X-men movie released each year
This is definitely not a show to make before an X-Men movie but it’s definitely one the MCU should make. Although the group is very new, we should get an X-terminators show. The story shouldn’t follow the comic run but a show centering mutant women that is both explosive and fun but also a character study into their traumas and dark backstories could be really good. I can see it in the same vein as shows like Jessica Jones or Yellowjackets but be a nice mix of action and character exploration.
Disney looking at recent Marvel box office returns and critical receptions: "Yeah let's definitely take a bunch of gambles on D-Tier X-Men side characters."
We need Marvel Studios to build each individual Member of the X-Men in their own films before putting them together in the MCU's X-Men film. But I wouldn't mind if the MCU introduced the five different X-teams such as the Exiles, The Morlocks, Generation X, X-Factor Investigations, and X-Factor.

Magik could be a good Special Presentation for Halloween.
omg i just wrote a comment like this xd
Hala the Accuser might say something like,
"Our battle is as old as time itself. The Noble Kree versus the Skin-stealing Skrulls... the Divine Eternals vs the Menacing Deviants… Thanos…
Even now on Earth, the same conflict arises - Order versus Chaos! Eugenics vs Evolution! A once promising future for your species, threatened by the spawning of more and more Monsters, Mistakes, and Mutations!"
And then Kamala sucker-punches her and says, "God doesn't make mistakes."
He could also be thinking of Skin - who had kind of a lame power, but was a really great character despite that.
I'd love to see a movie adaption of the Hellions led by Emma Frost with Dust, Mercury, X23, Hellion, etc. Their story after House of M was so good!
My quick thoughts:
-It would make sense for Weapon X to show up in a Captain America or Thunderbolts movie, it seems like something Val would be involved with.
Don't call Starlord plucky. He doesn't know what it means.
They should definitely do the original team and have some of them be Teenagers
- Cyclops and Jean be 16 or 17 years old
- Iceman be 13 to 15 years old
- Angel be 19 to 23 years old
- Beast be 25 to 35 years old
- Professor X be 45 to 60 years old
That would not work. There is not well establish mutant problem in current MCU (strong long term hatred)
@@Алексей545-т6б why wouldn’t that work
If they’re young and mutants aren’t widespread with only several older mutants like Apocalypse, Selene, Sabretooth, Wolverine, Magneto, Professor X and Beast existing but not known that would explain a lack of mutant hate
Blink is also in "The Gifted" an underrated comic book show
If I remember correctly, Puck, Sasquatch, Snowbird and Shaman are magic or magic-adjacent characters
Dear God, I hope not.
@@samwitherington8202 What's your objection to Kamala Khan leading mutants and being between the Avengers culture and mutant culture?
@@NybergCarl because she isn't a bloody mutant (or shouldn't be). There are so many characters who this could be but isn't. Jubilee, for example. Marvel have the opportunity to use some lesser known mutants as a POV character, but retcon another character to self-insert her into a more popular IP then she was part of previously. Kamala Khan is more interesting as an inhuman, the change is only motivated to force her into being more important, when she really isn't, then convince the comics to follow suit. It annoys me.
@@samwitherington8202 why is she more interesting as an inhuman
Freakin love your videos
Month 3 of me asking Nando can he make a fancasting video of Mass Effect characters if we hypothetically had a live action coming. Need some of his Patreons to help me out.
I think the most difficult part of that is casting Shepard.
Dude you have been blessing us with all the videos recently👌
Hear me out!! Gambit & Rogue.
The MCU’s first Rom Com + Action movie 👀
Where did you get your computer background, Nando?
I GOTTA see an adaptation of X-Factor Investigations
What storyline would you adapt, though?
I like betting on the impossible so I want Excalibur with the original lineup. It’d be very funny seeing the MCU strain to work in Rachel’s backstory.
I think we should start with Alpha Force, Wendigo is our new Wolverine
I feel like Generation-X would be the closest gen to introduce, probably using Kamala Khan as a gateway to them, like, in age and stuff. I could see Jubilee and Kamala interacting and then forming the Generation-X class
X-MEN FELINE FORCE GO!!!
Could you please do X men pitch 🙏
Spyke is my childhood favorite XMan, we exist, we appreciate the mention
As a comics reader for nearly 30 years it's been *wild* to see characters who I never in a million years would have thought could be in movies or on tv, get to be characters in the wider world. People know who BOTH Hawkeyes are now and that show had The Swordsman in it. Porcupine was in She-Hulk. The Prowler is a name people know now!! Prowler!!!!! But if the MCU make a Gen X movie, and I end up being able to buy a mug or a shirt with freaking SKIN on it? I might lose my actual mind.
I agree with you on the Starjammers.
I can also see any of these teams being stuck in the Shiar Empire or Break World
we need X-Terminators Jubilee, Boom Boom, Dazzler and Laura Kinney Wolverine girls trip movie. Could also do a Starjammers movie disguised as a Captain Marvel because I think she traveled with them for a bit when she was called Binary
oh hell yeah
New X-Men with Surge would be very very cool I think
How can you forget Cat Beast from Astonishing X-Men?
I think we should all forget about that
You deadpool and Vanessa
It’s gonna suck when we inevitably get to the dark phoenix saga because people probably won’t wanna give it a chance after being burned twice before
Not sure it would work as a real jumping-off point but New X-Men -- the Kyle and Yost run, not the Morrison stretch -- stands out to me as a somewhat underrated X-run. Then again, I just love the Decimation-era stuff, so moody.
I really enjoy that run post-decimation! Wish they'd do more with those characters in the recent stories.
seems like a perfect way to utilise the feature presentation format. lots of ways to build things up with material that may not stretch over a full series or movie
that said, I definitely want an Exiles series 🙏
I love the idea of a Exiles movie bringing in underutilized X-Men characters like James McAvoys professor x and Michael fasteners Magneto, evan peters quicksilver, anya taylor joys Magik and Alexandra shipps storm etc also juggernaut from deadpool 2
Exiles was one of my favorite books. That was a great run
Honestly I’m so f-ing tired of the phoenix plot line after seeing it done poorly so many times. Just skip it! Give us something new and different!!
Also would watch a Nightcrawler special presentation!
If we did Exiles today, the roster could be:
Blink (Days of Future Past Movie)
Morph (X-Men ‘97)
One of the Deadpool characters (not Deadpool or Wolverine)
John Krazinski Reed Richards (If he’d be willing to do it)
Maybe Captain Carter
However for the animated characters I think it would be cool if they did the Who Framed Roger Rabbit look. Especially with Morph.
Thunderbird is not an A- or B-lister. Thunderbird is Gwen Stacy. Mostly Thunderbird is famous for being dead.
He might have been thinking of the brother who was a prominent character and also used the name for a bit?
I could see movie titles like "Marvel X: Gambit," "Marvel: Weapon X," etc. and then having the big, Avengers-like, team up movie "Marvel's X-Men."
Love when you do X-men videos
The Blue Or Gold Teams One Led by Storm ( Blue ) and its members are : Wolverine, Kitty Pryde, Jean Grey, Jubilee, Gentle, Monet, Colossus, Nightcrawler, and Forge
Gold Team is lead by: Cyclops and Emma Frost, Angel, Beast, Iceman, Rogue, Gambit, Banshee, Havoc, and Polaris. One is like the FBI and the other is like the CIA. Storm is mentoring Gentle and Monet.
X-Factor Investigations as an excuse to do almost any detective story. Plus this Multiple Man is an awesome character.
CATSEYE SHOUT OUT LETS GO!
You read my mind. Morlock movie as the first big x-men movie, it gives a ground level introduction to the world, different than other superhero movie, told from a different perspective. Also leans on the theme of a marginalized group of people…. I say marrow, who then brought up to the x-men.
X-Factor as the "Community" or "Parks and Rec" of the MCU. Just a nice Disney+ comedy series. It's all I ask.
I think reptile should be on Generation X
Freedom force being “ extremist “ mutants like mysteque being forced to hunt down other bad mutants could be interesting narratively
14:02 they did the same thing in The Gifted and it was mostly okay they just sorta hinted at it the same way they did with Evan Peters' Quicksilver
My pitch for a show is a show called The Worst X-Man ever, a high school drama about Bailey Hoskins, who has the power to explode, but only once. The show would follow him in Xavier's school, trying to live among mutants much better than him. One season before each film, and it can introduce students later. Bailey's friends would be the really weird mutants we don't really see much of, like Maggot, Beak, Glob Herman, Choir, El Guapo, Eye-Boy etc
Armour or Jubilee act as the cool older girl.
Per the quick intro about X-related cat characters, do you think Deadpool 3 with let Copycat be Copycat?
There’s 10 X-Related comics coming out at the end of October (you could 1 take off since it’s a reprint) we could do a phase of just X-Men if Marvel decided that’s what they wanted to do
Nocturne was the child of Nightcrawler and Scarlet Witch. So yeah, she would be a great alternate universe addition.
Having two government (somewhat) supervised teams of heroes, one Thunderbolts & one mutant, which different bosses comes with built-in conflict.
The investigation team was really good. That’s more of a tv series than a movie.
X-Men First Class, Sunfire, Wolverine, Giant-Sized X-Men, Starjammers, and Captain Britain should be their first phase of properties
I have a case for you."
I like your suggestion of "one A/B-tier Mutant per thing before the X-Men movie", and my 90's X-Men fanboy demands that we have Gambit on the team/making an appearance...which is rough, since he is not much of a team player. And he blows stuff up."
imo a pretty good start for madrox would be a translation of an early x-factor investigations story (that i admittedly don’t remember so well) where a dupe of his is murdered and it turns out the culprit is another dupe who ran away and built a family. pretty predictable but it’s probably the story i know of that best takes the concept of a “multiple man” and really runs with it
Nando's "I don't know when they came out" made me feel very, very old lol 😭
Generation X is my favorite super hero team! I'd love if they got some love on the big screen.
Darwin is another favorite of mine, but he was never on Generation X. He first showed up in a book called X-Men Deadly Genesis where we learned that he was part of an unknown X-Men team in between First Class and Giant Sized. He returns in the present and becomes a member of Havok's space-faring X-Men before joining Gen X alum Monet in the 3rd iteration of X-Factor 😁
yeah I must have confused him with Synch
Gen X was very much early 90's - I remember reading this during high school and I graduated in 1996.
I was a huge fan of the original series of Exiles, cool idea
I really just want an X-Factor Investigations show with Jamie, Layla, Guido, Richtor, and the rest.
What your describing is 9:38 basically what if, i think they will more likely be their own what if season or after loki we get a show called tva where morfius recruits some mutant variants to deal with mutant issues in the multiverse
Either way they should fight onslaught, that’s a stupid character but would be cool in something weird like this
They should start with Krakoa
It fits with the geopolitical emergence of the EternalsAsgardians, Skrulls, Namor ‘s people, Wankadans, intro Doom, intro the Russians and Krakoa announces its existence on the world stage .
I really like the idea of introducing the "core" X-Men in other projects, so I tried to "sketch it out" in my head
Let's go by your schedule of one movie + one show per year and a five-year plan where year five is the year when we get the actual X-Men movie, and let's say that not every project has to have a mutant that "carries over" to the main team, but if it does - cool.
Around). Those are probably flashbacks that are inserted into the MCU reboot, which is kinda happening, I guess
Year 2: Storm solo movie (maybe we see how she gets to America on her own, without Charles having to go to Africa?).
Nobody carries over from there, but we know that the team exists and maybe Havok (who was obviously introduced in Scott's origin movie) hangs out with them
Year 5: We get the show first, and it's called (and I'm really proud of the solution I came up with)...
Given the focus on timelines and alternate dimensions lately, an Exiles show feels like a layup.
I’ve always thought a Weapon X show made sense. Each 1-2 episodes focuses on a separate mutant that went through the process. Sabretooth, Deadpool, Wolverine, Sauron, etc. Could really add any mutant to that list to give a background. Someone like Omega Red, add him to an episode.
could the defenders work as set up? that team has a mix of established mcu heroes and a few mutants that could then break off into x-men
I feel like it should be the general title “X-Men: ____” and it’s just different areas of the culture so we can see what’s going on everywhere for different mutants since their powers all unique.
I think they do x-men after a world resetting Secret Wars movie.
