      It really is. That 1/2 LB of EasyMold was $20. NOW, I'm a big fan of that stuff! BUT, if you're doing a lot of molds... it's just more economical (and cheaper! ;) ) to go with this DIY method. Thank you for watching!

There are hilarious but brilliant tutorials to teach you how to make molds with, for example, corns starch and silicone. The commercial product for making molds on Amazon inItaly costs 40 Euros. Cornstarch and silicone might cost you 40 cents.

    I have to ask: Where did you learn all of this?? You're a walking encyclopedia of craftin. I know your grandmother influenced you, but the rest?

    • @TheCrafsMan
      @TheCrafsMan  5 років тому +22

      Hey Patrick! Mannn, thank you for watching! I'm blessed to have had a lot of different people to learn from over the years. My grandparents (on both sides) were into either metalworking or woodworking. My dad and mom were into a variety of things. I had uncles who taught me a lot (one of them may have been more on the illegal side - LOL), and I've had a few different manual labor type jobs where I learned a variety of skills. I appreciate your question!

      He trawls other youtube channels for ideas. This is a combination of a Timber Ridge Gifts video and Epbot video, but with better production values. His Free-Range Chicken toymaking is a straight ripoff of Steve Ferrera's channel.

      You may want to give it a shot. I notice even with the EasyMold putty (which I really like, but which is very pricey), I only have a matter of minutes to use it. It's well-suited for small objects like jewelry and maybe individual parts of a figure, etc. But I'll for sure be doing more DIY putty molds in the future. Thank you for watching!
