  • Tawa Chicken Recipe: Just like any other street food, tawa chicken is big on flavours and spiciness, making it one of the best pocket-friendly, filling meals you can get on the streets.
Local eateries and dhabas use large thick iron tawas (pans) to make tawa chicken. The Chicken is roasted and coated with spices and a tomato masala, all done on one pan. It's preferable to cook on a Tawa but if you don't have one to hand then you may use a large skillet or frying pan to make this authentic Tawa Chicken recipe in the comfort of your own home.
See how I make Tawa Chicken My Style.

I can’t eat onions and this is the only curry I have seen without onions so absolutely thrilled. Will definitely be giving this a go. Thank you so much for posting. ❤

Made this last night but only used 2 tspns of tamarind, after dissolving a block of it in hot water and straining it for sauce. Mind. Blown! Absolutely gorgeous. Fresh coriander is a must. Thanks Shamza, looking forward to more of your work.

Absolutely perfect as always. I made this today thinking its 2 days worth of food. My husband and daughter finished the whole tawa between them. There was literally nothing left for me! You are absolutely amazing. Your step by step method is spot on. I'm making your lamb moussaka tomorrow evening xx

Hubby said its restaurant quality & Kamran said its better than Bukhara restaurant, which is his favourite!! This was so delicious with a naan & quick to prep & cook, I'm going to cook it next week too when my friends call for lunch xx

    Looks the bomb! 😃
Shamsa you need to do a vlog and visit Pakistan and and its cities like Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad to check out the food scene.
You'd be a great person to do it and share your experiences!

Zara, I always say it depends on portion size but I'd say 2/3 people with a generous amount and 4 with a slightly smaller portion if that helps.
