The Carpenters were big in the 70s not the 60s. and the Everly Brothers were about the 50s not the 60s.

I remember watching H.R. PUFFIN-STUFF with my daughter in the 1980’s and can still hear the chorus in my head, I remember Carpenters’s songs being played at many Weddings in the early 1970’s.

I love ❤️ Haley Mills, especially in the movie 🎥 Pollyanna , (I’m showing my age) . She is a wonderful actress even now and her battle with breast cancer ♋️ was awful!! She is one of my favorites of all time. I’m a great fan of your videos! So thanks 😊! 💜😀🖤🇦🇺🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧🇺🇸😍🩶 1:11:46

''We've only just begun'' was popular when I married for the first time. Every time I hear her sing that now I think of 'those days'. Her voice was liquid

Not only was there Hayley Mills, doing two roles. There was Patty Duke that did two different roles on the same show, "The Patty Duke Show".

I met Haley Mills in 1966. She and Mary Wickes were in St. Louis promoting the movie, “The Trouble With Angels”. They were on a local noon TV show and we were in the audience. Ms. Mills and Ms. Wickes both were very sweet. I asked Hayley for her autograph and couldn’t believe how very petite she was! Great memories!

How nice to have met Haley Mills! 💓🌺💓
One of my favorite childhood movies is the crime-drama "Whistle Down the Wind" starring Haley (made the same year as "The Parent Trap"/1961) adapted from the novel Haley's mother wrote about a bearded fugitive (played by actor Alan Bates in his first feature film🌹❤) who farm-children discover hiding in their family barn.
The children keep it from their parents, believing he's Jesus Christ and unknowingly harbor him.
Haley was nominated for a BAFTA for her performance. It is such a good movie, such a memorable storyline.

Meh, he's too busy researching as many shots of boobs in the thumbnails that'll grab the attention of boob loving viewers everywhere. He must have hit a snag w/Shirley Temple but didn't forget Haley Mills. (We need more meat & potatoes under the men he features for the ladies, lol)!💋💃

    1. I was born in December, 1956. I well remember Jack Wilde. In fact, I had a teeny-bopper crush on him. I bought every Tiger Beat magazine, and had a poster of him on my wall. I even watched HR Puffinstuff because he was in it. I made my parents sit through the movie at our local drive-in. My favorite character, though, will always be The Artful Dodger. Life does go on, and I lost track of him. I was sad to hear of his problems and his death. Such a sad end for a talented man.
    2. I still know all the words to Karen Carpenter's songs. She had only just begun when the Grim Reaper took her from us. They should have let her play the drums. It was where she was happiest.
    3. Even if you don't recognize the name Everly Brothers, you know their songs. Their harmonies were beautiful. They were popular in the generation between my mother and I, and we both liked their music. It was one thing we could agree on.
    4. It was fortunate that Cass Elliot gained fame before the video world ruined everything for the girls who didn't look perfect. I wish someone would drop a pipe on me! "Video killed the radio star!"
    5. I grew up watching Little Joe Cartright ride around Bonanza, but his roles as Charles Ingalls and the angel on Highway to Heaven showed how really talented he was. He was another taken too soon.
    6. I wanted to be Haley Mills! We all know that there is only one Haley and only one me, but that didn't stop me from watching everything I could find with her in it. I was shocked to hear what the British government did to her, taxing away most of the money she made. They should be ashamed, stealing from, oops, I mean over taxing a child. I wish I could remember the names of all the movies.
I think the most tragic was Karen Carpenter. She really never believed in herself, and died before she could age into it.

I feel so bad that she didn’t like herself on the outside.Being skinny is impressed on everyone all over the earth, walk right, talk right,etc..When i got divorced very young & had kids,i starved myself & did a lot of exercising to loose weight.I thought if i was like a barbie doll & worked a lot we could be a family again. We were on & off for a lot of years -love was there but it wasn’t enough. So we went are own ways & a lot of heartache’s relationship’s,mostly for him..I got in 3# car accidents that i wasn’t driving & got hurt in each one, stitches, fractured bones & lots of pain still. The point is we have to learn to love & respect ourself like we respect others.Maybe were not perfect no one is& getting older, putting on a few pounds.-But we just need to be the best person we can be to others & ourselves.Try doing a good dead everyday like i try to.-even if your with the animals giving them a treat& give yourself a treat like candy ,bubble bath, watching tv/movies-make something homemade that makes you happy.Never forget if you don’t take care of yourself you can’t take care of anyone else. Were all worth it, just reach inside & bring out the best you can be.Im not a barbie doll anymore but i treat myself to make me happy & i keep track of my grown kids& family. If we don’t like ourselves,we have a lifetime to be with ourself&thats sad.If we like ourselves life will be as good as we make it,so make it good.Live life like any-day could be your last, make it count, show the people you love to care because you never know how long we have on earth,be the best person you can be.Together society we can do miracles, making everyone love themselves just the way they are.(unless they want to change something). Please support people that are not eating much,(anorexic)it’s a problem just like drinking too much,smoking,gambling,drugs,etc.,eating.Everyone has their crutches ,mine candy .Be a friend, make a friend,be kind& respectful,be there for others that need your help, but never destroy yourself for anyone even yourself.Dieing to fit in is not living,it’s a curse.I have my religion that i lean on,everyone needs something to life for.Good luck to everyone thats had an eating disorder,i went from normal/chubby to very skinny to chubby. No ones perfect ,just live life everyday like it counts -you don’t have to be perfect be yourself be happy.God bless everyone, everyone counts.
