Here is to one of the most charming, endearing men who ever lived. Never having met him, I miss this man tremendously. He brightened my entire childhood, and probably yours as well.
100%. He is SO very missed. All my 21 grandchildren will ever have is DVD’s and that makes me so very sad because my twin grandsons have Robin William’s humor and the knack of accents like Robin had. I was so upset hearing about his suicide…little did I know that just a few years later I would be grieving the loss of my own oldest son’s death. Losing a child is horrible…just HORRIBLE regardless of their age or why you lose them. I hope no one reading this joins me on this journey.
Wherever Robin is hanging out now, I sincerely hope he knows all the joy he brought to millions of people. His great talent as a comedian and serious actor is undeniable. I did notice during his last few years of his life, whenever I saw something of his or a clip of some interview, that there was trouble. I felt it in my gut. The light in his eyes, had dimmed. I hope peace, laughter and love surrounds him now.
I was diagnosed with Bi Polar illness.I was up for the most part of my life. At the age of 49 I dropped into such despair that I needed to check myself into a Mental Health Clinic. During my stay one of the clinicians told me that Robin Williams had been diagnosed with and medicated for Bi Polar. so I thought if he can get through this nightmare so can I. The anxiety of not measuring up, not pretty enough not the perfect body. I met a wonderful woman who tried to help me with all that the can arise, out of almost nowhere there is another add on to the original diagnosis. What she said “When broken down to Dis-Ease it makes more sense. Robin must have reached the point were he was at such dis-ease with all of the diagnoses one on top of the other. In the recovery of my first episode I watched old Mork and Mindy reruns and Robin on tour……thank God for Robin Williams! It is because of him that I am alive. ❤
My mother died from Lewy body dementia. At the end she could not stand, eat, or do anything for herself. The mind and body fall apart. She also knew something was wrong with her. She died in the hospital and i wasn't able to see her as Covid had ahut everything down. She also had a few delusions and she believed someone kidnapped her. Thank you for sharing Robin Williams journey with us. He is missed😢❤.
A fantastic actor… The funniest comedian and mostly I think he was a fantastic father… he did the right thing because dementia is a cruel disease… It lingers and lingers as well… some people make this world a better place and Robin Williams was one.

I was so very lucky to have met Mr. Robin Williams in San Francisco after a theater play that he was in and I had attended. He was a very approachable person and we had a short conversation regarding my mentioning of how proud I was of his career. He definitely was a nice person and as it was mentioned on this video, a genius of comedy.
Although Robin was extremely funny, it is the serious roles he portrayed I admired the most. Dead Poets Society and Awakenings were my favorites. What an actor!! What a wonderful human being!! I still get very sad about his last days with serious brain disease.
Mrs Doubtfire, Dead Poets Society and Patch Adams are three of my favourite Robin movies. I’ll never forget his warm-up for Barbra Streisand’s “One Voice” concert and the look he had on his face during her performance of the same - Pure love!

I just finished watching dead poets society and become curious about the actor. I don't even know his name before but I knew he starred on two another films I watched and absolutely loved, the world according to garp and patch Adams which motivated me to become a doctor (I'm graduating on my pre-med now). He's my favourite despite only knowing him by face, and I just get to know that he passed away, rest in peace legend 🕊️ you give many laughs and wisdom to other people thru your work, I hope you're in the better place where you can find genuine happiness yourself. I'll continue to watch your other movies, thank you for everything 💕

I was born in 1984. I don’t ascribe to the celeb obsessed culture that seemingly exists worldwide nowadays . . . That being said there are 2 actors whose death had a very real heart felt, the world is lesser now because of their passing- impact on me. Robin Williams and Gene Wilder. As far as favorite roles of Robins - I loved his performance in what dreams may come, Hook, and Goodwill Hunting. Another reason I adore and will watch anything he is a part of is due to his stand up special Live on Broadway. I walked in on my parents watching the dvd of it and realized that it was the first time I had ever heard my mother’s real authentic laugh as she was cry laughing watching Robins standup.
What Dreams May Come, Dead Poets Society and One Hour Photo. He was one of the most gifted actors who ever lived. Why the hell isn't he still here with us and for us?
Thank you for this. I understand why he couldn't live w/ his misdiagnosis. I hope they have a better way of diagnosing & treating since then. I was literally watching Mork & Mindy reruns. Loling & wondering how many takes they had to do to get one show done. Then I saw on TV, a Late Night Talk Show ending. They said, What? He's dead? Robin Williams is dead? The audience did a collective gasp. Then, they said, We've just been informed Robin Williams has been died. We'll have more details on our next News Broadcast in a few minutes. I was, like the audience, in shock! How could I be loling at his old shows just to hear this?! I mourned for more than 2yrs! John Ritter was another one, but Robin Williams had done much more than John. I'm sorry he was suffering, & his personality didn't let him ask for help. He was on a talk show just a couple nights b4, but being Robin, hiding his pain. So sad. 😿😿
The brilliance of his comedic mind is what I miss. Robin was also a great dramatic Actor. He is greatly missed. 😢😢Thank God we have his Filmography ❤❤❤
Let me add to this wonderful picture a no less original comment, as if in tribute to the great artist who was undoubtedly Robin Williams, he gave me everything my heart desires and at the moment when I needed it the most, he was a part of the cinema, an inherent son of the tenth muse with its whim of rise and fall. fall and the Man of the Future, which the actor is considered to be, was and will always be a synonym for the embodiment of the American myth of immortality with which fame gives us viewers its Final Version in the form of an endless adventure of the heroes it chooses..
ROBIN WILLIAMS - LEGEND FOREVER, UNIQUE, UNREPEATABLE., SOUL ONE OF A KIND, it will take a looong time while another one like HIM Is going to be born. RIP special SOUL, so many in the world are missing YOU. 🙏🌱🕊❤💔
Pretty sure the camouflage shirt he had on at the Apple Store was from the streetwear brand, Stüssy. He used to frequent the old Stüssy store on Haight St. SF, and my friend had once bumped into him in there with the same shirt on! Truly a kid at heart. RIP!
How fearful it must be to lose yourself to an undiagnosed disease, especially one as devastating as the form of dementia he had. I'm not me anymore, someone else is here and I don't know what to do with him, don't know him. No one can tell you why, what's happening. That just sounds so awful. I truly do hope Robin is at peace, and feels it. 🙏
Everybody seems to have a different story on Robin's history. Ron Howard's story of how Robin was discovered and hired on Mork & Mindy is so much different than this channels take. I'm going with Ron Howard's version.
You have explained much. Much I never knew. But I say. I will swear it was Robin Williams divorces that destroyed him. The HUGE LOSSES OF WEALTH- HIS NAPA VALLEY RANCH stolen that overcame him. I have read very soulful accounts of this from Robin. God Bless Him. Such a funny man. A comedy genius. I think of him every day. I miss him. He lived a half hour from me in Tiburon.
You can blame his "DIVORCES" all you like but you're blaming the women he CHOSE to marry for destroying him unless you're suggesting he made poor choices by marrying three times and divorcing his wives. He was a grown man who made his own choices in life.
He didn’t choose his final disease, although he did exit when the change in his mind was intolerable. Hearing how impaired Lewy Body dementia can be, I really can’t say I blame him.
Did not care for the book, “The World According to Garp” but I loved Robin in the movie…..my two favorite movies he made were “Good Morning, Vietnam” and “Mrs. Doubtfire”.
Man, this thing drones on for quite a while, many of the facts and places that were a part of his life are mispronounced... which makes me think that the narrator is A.I. generated. I didn't need to sit through the whole thing to understand that I can relate to some of Robin's issues. I was shocked at the way he decided to finish his path in life. But tragedy happens... just as the human condition happens. Bicentennial Man is one of my family's favorites.
I was so glued to the screen while watching Death to Smoochie at the movie theater. It was the greatest villain I could imagine. He played it so well, I was entertained immeasurably. Loved that movie. Greatest Robin Williams character after Popeye, to me.
I remember Robin in Happy Days and Mork and Mindy. I was in my teens and loved his wit and physical comedy. RIP Robin, I am sure you are having fun in Heaven.
Some people now know RW had Lewy Body Dementia which is one of the worst.. his beautiful loving widow explained in a documentary. He couldn’t continue down that road where he would be extremely helpless in a short time after diagnosis. After working closely with seniors who have this ..I can tel you it’s no picnic. We will miss you forever….. loved you in Good Will Hunting. We were lucky to view your beautiful artist spirit!!!
I liked his scary role as the lonely psycho in "One Hour Photo" , and actually to this day I have yet to see a Robin Williams movie that I have disliked and I have seen many many
What Dreams May Come showed his true range along with Awakenings and The World According to Garp. And Good Will Hunting was amazing. A true selfless man who gave so much to his audience.
UNPOPULAR OPINION! To be completely honest, I don't blame him at all for ending his life. I've known someone with Lewy Body Dementia, they lived for 25 years after diagnosis(which is extra long). This person was like an older adult mentally but regressed to an infant or toddler level, with terrifying schizophrenia-like hallucinations. They couldn't understand spoken words but would yell, scream, and cry constantly for years. It seemed like they were definitely in their own world, unable to see us, and could no longer speak English. They had a language of grunts, sounding like someone speaking in tongues, and saw things only they could. It was wild and mixed with screams. They spent many years in a nursing home, and the last I knew, they were still alive. They would smear feces on their face and walls and sometimes crawl around, searching for miniature trolls that they believed were torturing them(back when they could still speak to explain what they could see). That was the Lewy Body Dementia person I knew. If Robin Williams was facing a similar fate, or mentally whatever his fate was... I don't blame him, and he might not have even known what he was doing because the disease can be that devastatingly confusing of reality to lost. It's torture, and I think the person I knew was calling out for their deceased mother bc they believed they were a child again. In a world of trolls. It was heartbreaking. No meds helps really & legally doctors wouldn't order anything to sedate.
@@kimberlyanne8330and,why would you credit or blame God for this disease? Bad things come from bad places. Even Jesus suffered pain and torture. And he was the son of God. No one goes through life without something wrong, weather it be physically or emotionally or mentally. We need to trust God to show us what lessons are to be learned. I never knew what this disease was until now,and so many others suffer from it. Hopefully, more research will find a way to cure it or at least control it. 🙏
I have adored Robin since he appeared on Happy Days. I wept when he died. He felt like a family friend who I had loved the majority of my life. The Fisher King is my favorite beside the World According to Garp. I can tell the narrator for this is fairly young with all the mispronunciations but I enjoyed it none the less. ✌🏻👩🏻🦰👍🏻
Robin Williams is still alive. Entered the Federal Witness Protection Program aka Gone With The Wind. Same as M. Jackson and Prince and many others too.
Robin was a magnificent actor and a wonderful entertainer. I’ve watched most of his work and particularly loved The Fisher King, which I believe is a masterpiece and really brought Robin to a cathartic process, showing part of his inner self… bright and dark all together.
Who could judge him, he was unique, a genius❤ he certainly left us with an impressive body of 💪 work it is really true, that people who are that sensitive and artistic, suffer the most sometimes being special, equals more suffering
Robin had a rare talent, the kind of comedic talent you don't see everyday. He will be remembered long after we're all gone...and rightfully so.

I walked in on my parents watching the dvd of it and realized that it was the first time I had ever heard my mother’s real authentic laugh as she was cry laughing watching Robins standup.
Robin williams will be forever missed but his humor still linger on & never be forgotten rip
My favorites were Bicentennial man, what dreams may come and dead poets society... I miss his genius...
What Dreams May Come, Dead Poets Society and One Hour Photo. He was one of the most gifted actors who ever lived. Why the hell isn't he still here with us and for us?
Robin Williams was a great actor and si funny. I loved him.
There is not another actor who I remember more fondly.
So sad. 😿😿
Misdiagnosis?
@@kimberlyanne8330 They were treating him for Parkinson's. They found out thru autopsy about the extent of his Lewy Body Dementia after his death. 😿😿
The brilliance of his comedic mind is what I miss. Robin was also a great dramatic Actor. He is greatly missed. 😢😢Thank God we have his Filmography ❤❤❤
Robin was a great man and a versatile actor with a brilliant mind for comedy. I miss his personality and his ability to make us laugh and think ❤.❤
A unique genius, a beautiful soul❤
Just THANK YOU for this job about great person and unique actor.
So beautifully put im crying reading your comment so moving and beautiful.
RIP!
Omg I had completely forgotten about that brand. Was popular when I was little in the 80s
He was very much a big kid.
No disorders. It's what society gave him. Therefore no free will. Great guy from when I seen.
I am sending out my thoughts and prayers and love to his whole family and friends and fans I am really! So very sorry for your loss 😢💔
You shall forever be known as The Crying clown you can rest now the demons are sleeping❤
This was recommended after the John candy documentary I just watched ❤both gone too soon.
I've followed Robin Williams ever since I saw him. This filled in many of the gaps. Thank you.
@@DBEdwards - do not judge. Anyone.
I made him laugh once. That was the biggest treat.
@@bunnyrabbit6452 - that's awesome! I wish I could have, too!
Robin Williams is sorely missed.
Superbly done, this documentary answers so many questions about a brilliant and sensitive man. Thank you.
Love him, where ever he is , he is making people happy, he was super inteligente, compassionate,
Did not care for the book, “The World According to Garp” but I loved Robin in the movie…..my two favorite movies he made were “Good Morning, Vietnam” and “Mrs.
So many videos are now ‘narrated’ by robots, sadly.
Every great comedian is hiding the terrible pain. All of them
Thank you for making a video of him!
(I made this comment in the former version also. But I still thank him anyway.)
Very good work.
Incredible research and good presentation.
Thank you
I remember him when he was first starting out in Mork and Mindy.
When you're low, watching Robin's movie or talk show is one quick therapy, no side-effect, guaranteed!
I was so glued to the screen while watching Death to Smoochie at the movie theater. It was the greatest villain I could imagine. He played it so well, I was entertained immeasurably. Loved that movie. Greatest Robin Williams character after Popeye, to me.
When Robin Williams Died it seemed comedy wasn't the same.
I agree 😊
@@sallybailin3532😅😅p
He didn't die . Death was staged. Entered the Federal Witness Protection Program aka Gone With The Wind. Many other well known names on that list too
Of all the biographies made about Robin Williams, this is one of them.
Hiding depression and anxiety with a smile is something I do well too. I get it.
Loved him in the “Bird Cage” 😅
I remember Robin in Happy Days and Mork and Mindy. I was in my teens and loved his wit and physical comedy. RIP Robin, I am sure you are having fun in Heaven.
He represented so many. ❤
I loved bicentennial man, what a wonderful man and brilliant actor RIP Robin the world lost a wonderful man 😢xx
Why in the hell does god allow something so horrendous?
@@kimberlyanne8330and,why would you credit or blame God for this disease? Bad things come from bad places. Even Jesus suffered pain and torture. And he was the son of God. No one goes through life without something wrong, weather it be physically or emotionally or mentally. We need to trust God to show us what lessons are to be learned. I never knew what this disease was until now,and so many others suffer from it. Hopefully, more research will find a way to cure it or at least control it. 🙏
@@evelynwilliams5174 maybe if it were you then you would get it.
Thank you for your comment & sharing.
The DEVIL does this !!! Don't blame GOD !!!@@kimberlyanne8330
Winnie Wallace... I always felt there was an aura surrounding Robin, one of sadness.
Great video, i miss robin!
Sad so many stars from the 1970's are shockingly all gone. Robin, Chris Reeve, ONJ, Michael Jackson, Prince, Carl Weathers, R.I.P.
John beluchi (sp)
Robin Williams is still alive. Entered the Federal Witness Protection Program aka Gone With The Wind. Same as M. Jackson and Prince and many others too.
Robin was a magnificent actor and a wonderful entertainer. I’ve watched most of his work and particularly loved The Fisher King, which I believe is a masterpiece and really brought Robin to a cathartic process, showing part of his inner self… bright and dark all together.
I will always love Robin Williams, may he continue to rest in peace.
Who could judge him, he was unique, a genius❤ he certainly left us with an impressive body of 💪 work it is really true, that people who are that sensitive and artistic, suffer the most sometimes being special, equals more suffering
The Birdcage is a remake of the French movie "La cage aux folles".
