Wow. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I've seen and heard this video probably 75 times altogether but you made me enjoy it that much more... Seriously. I do watch different reactors and theres a few that stand out. YOU are Definitely one of them! I guess I view Reaction videos a little differently...I am actually by myself quite a bit since I've been separated and I LOOOOVE music! All kinds of music. No matter your mood, theres always some kind of music that can change, enhance, soothe, empower or sympathize with you! So, sometimes I hear a song that I cant wait to show someone just to see how they REACT because you wanna be like " I know, right?! Isnt it amazing??!" LOL But I don't get to do that much. So to me, watching a GOOD reactor is like showing that video to a friend and really hoping they'll have as good a reaction to it as I did. Kinda cool, I think. Some may think that's dumb, but it's why I get such a kick out of watching these. That's also why not everyone is cut out to be a reactor...and I'm not trying to be mean at all. I simply think you have to have an outgoing, sociable, open, and respectful personality that loves music and wants to share that with other people who do too. Sorry if I went way too long but just wanted you to know how much your reactions are appreciated. You show your real, actual emotion like you were sitting around with a bunch of friends and I think that's what makes you great at this. Cant wait for the next one, especially if its Home Free, haha. How about "Hillbilly Bone "??💗😁 (Again...SO sorry about the long post. I never do that)
HEY!!!!!! TELL ME EVERYTHING Lol no need to apologize for the long post. I loved every word of it. I truly appreciate your perspective, love and support. Means a lot truly! Thanks again, appreciate you and more Home Free coming sooooon! 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
You’re so right tho. Reaction videos are totally a service of emotional labor, similar to mukbangs and other such things, that give us a sense of human connection which we need as social animals ♥️ There’s a reason reaction channels blew up so much during the panorama lol
@@DrummingwithJarvis try and check out the live concert vid of this song. They do use a looper onstage, but do the programming live. So it is still ALL them. This one KILLS live!
Adam Rupp, the beatboxer, has a degree in music, but his instrument is the trumpet. When he & his brother Chris started this group back around 2000, he thought the group needed a beatboxer, so he learned to beatbox. Then he taught himself to play drums because he wanted to make sure the sounds & gestures he was making were accurate. Chris left the group in 2016 & was replaced by Adam Chance (aka "Chance"). Chris was in the Country Fried Pop Medley & the Butts Remix. Chance has been in the others you've watched. Home Free just keeps getting better. Love your reactions!
Thank you for your intelligent critiques that add so much to my enjoyment of the nuances in their arrangements. I also love your enthusiasm and joy! Keep it coming.
Adam really shines on Mayday, Can’t Stop the Feeling, Sea Shanty ( castanets ) Love Train, Children Go Where I Send Thee, Do You Hear What I Hear ( he arranged it )
I swear to gods, Jarvis, you are just the best! Please do more HF. I know all the Fries will say the same, but you break it down so well! That sound at the beginning and end was actually the sound of a mouth harp (or jaw harp) that was being done by the baritone, Adam Chance. You can see him vocalizing it right at the end before the fade-out. Home Free just released their cover of Springsteen's "Born in the USA" a few days ago. Chance takes the lead on this one. I'm really interested in your reaction to him. And there's a BIG surprise in the video, you'll know it right from the start. PEACE!
I think you nailed why Adam (you were correct) is so underrated most of the time. He is a human drum and doesn't overdo it. It builds such a solid foundation along with the bass line that Home Free can do whatever they want on top of that foundation.
As a drummer , perhaps you should watch Adam Rupp’s ( the beatboxer) “ drum solo “ ( if you do try and find the newest one ) He learned the drums so that he made the correct moves !
There is no words for these men.. My God there isn't a song they cannot sing.. Every Cover song they do to perfection.. They're original songs are utterly and completely Out of this World.. What a rabbit hole these five beautiful talented men have took me down.. I've been going down this rabbit hole for many years with these outstanding beautiful young men right here they never disappoint ever.. and I will always always mention Chris Rupp the founder of this group him and his brother Adam he will always be in my comments..God bless you two men for starting this amazing journey for all of us Home fries out there..
Now that I got a dose of you with Home Free my day is compmete! Love your reactions, die hard Home Fry been along for the ride on every one! Ot may be time to touch your soul with How Great Thou Art. It'll show you just how musically perfect these gentlemen are, even though you already have a feel for that. Thanks for making this a great day! Love your energy.
I love this one......Adam's harmonica still gets me, and I have watched this one many, many, many times.....Good reaction...Also, you are one of a very few reactors that actually caught Tim's octave drop after his solo.
That really low little thing that Tim does after his solo is my absolute favorite thing in this and most reactors never even pick up on it. Kudos to you.
Jarvis, I think you looked at enough Home Free to listen to Home Free's covEr of MayDay...it has some surprises but they are all good. Jarvis you are definitely a HOME FRY now
You made this enjoyable. I love this song. It was the first one I heard HF do.......Hooked me....The song is very old. I think 1913 or Something. And recorded several times during the years. But it became (I think) most popular when George Clooney sang it on Oh Brother, Where art thou.....
Ok son how are doing? We all good here thank the Lord. I really do love your reactions and you nailed Adam Rupp. He never over over play’s anything. Great song cover they do is Boyz to men. END OF THE ROAD. They sing that with perfection. Give it a try. See you on the next one.
I absolutely love Home Free. I am so pleased that you are playing them and your reactions are priceless and respectable of them. Keep up the good work.
Unless he's doing a stellar solo (like the harmonica one here), Adam goes virtually unnoticed as a beatboxer BECAUSE he's so good at it. I remember when they were competing in "The Sing-off," Ben Folds complimented Adam for not adding frills or unnecessary tricks to his "drumming" just to show off that he can like other groups. Thank you for the reaction video and great insight!
Your enthusiasm is so contagious, and your appreciation of this talent is so genuine, but most everybody contains their excitement to the voices and give Adam a big thumbs up.... and let's get back to that tenor or that bass. Nobody NOBODY that I have watched have been so psyched over Adam's skills! I can totally imagine you guys matching off and setting the place on fire just for grins! Thank you!!
This was your first reaction I've seen. I immediately subscribed! I am a Home Fry for life and I love your reaction and appreciation for their talent and abilities. I also loved your energy. Now I have to go back and binge watch reactions. 🤣
@@DrummingwithJarvis Thanks, I just did. Then I'll suggest "Do You Hear What I Hear". I think it's their best song. Although it's a Christmas song, It looks and sounds like a Hollywood production. Endless sounds, bass and harmonies Tim even hits a growl note that will rattle your brain.
Love, love, love your reactions! I just found your channel while watching reactions on other channels and I'm so glad I did. While I've only had the opportunity to watch several thus far, your enthusiasm and appreciation for the different genres is simply incredible and such a joy to watch. I love your honest and educated comments. You are one of the few folks doing reactions, that actually know about the deeper details of music. I have a couple of suggestions for Home Free songs, that I would love to see your reaction to. One is Champagne Taste. The other is Good Ole Country Harmany. Both are originals, written by Tim Faust. There are so many great songs that Home Free has done. Would love to see your reaction to some of the songs written by Home Free members. Keep doing what you do.
Adam has a video where in he tries to explain how he does the harmonica and even tries to show you how to do it. love 7 Bridges road, brothers in arms, go rest high on that mountain
This was my introduction to Home Free and I haven't stopped listening since. I don't understand music as much as you so I really appreciate the reaction so I understand better. Helplessly Hoping, Do you hear what I hear, My Church, End of the Road, Love me Like That, Yours, Cover me up, Mayday, Everybody walking this Land...all great and so many more and they've given us so much over the pandemic. Great reaction.

I’ve never really listened to Home Free before. So I’m on this journey with you. I have heard this song and ‘Elvira’ which they sing with the original singers of the song; The Oakridge Boys. They are a vocal quartet that started in the 40’s (if you want a bass that will floor you, listen to them). Both this one and that one are phenomenal. You have to hear Home Free "do you hear what i hear" ---- freaking amazing. and your reactions are so on it, so smart, love the build up, and climax, and everything they do that is so controlled layered, and tim's bass...
One more, thank you for pointing out the low bass after his solo. Most reactors don't. There are a few but I think you are only the 3rd or 4th I've seen comment on that and there are way more than 3 or 4 reactions to this song on here.
Amazing reaction! Thank you! You broke it down perfectly. You are right about Adam and add to that all the other sounds he creates. I don't know if you have reacted to their cover of Blue Ain't Your Cover by Keith Urban. Very different from this and another favourite.
Brother, just touching base with you. I am a former drummer that loves music, tons of coffee, and camping every chance I get. I tripped across your channel and truly enjoy your break down of home free. there is one song done by Austin and Tim "My Maria" in someones back yard. These boys have pipes! in an earlier video you ask about coffee choices, and I submit to you mine. Cowboy coffee cooked in a boiler pot. Try it, you will enjoy a strong blast of bean.
One of their more country feel covers. But it shows off all of their individual talents. If you look closely at the end it is Chance making the diggerie do/ juice harp sound.
I didn't know I needed to see Jarvis swooning, but yeah, that was great lol. Also I've seen so many reactions and there have been less than three people who identified that sound as digeridoo-approximate.
Hahaha love your reaction. That’s what we Home Fries thought too when we heard them. Who are these guys??? Adam (beatboxer) is so amazing. He can do drums, harmonica, bugs, didgeridoo and lots of other sounds. The didgeridoo sound this time was a mouth harp sound done by Chance (the last guy shown in the video). Austin, lead singer here, can also do a harmonica. They can all beatbox to a degree. Tim, the bass, has a 5 octave range so he can sing bass all the way up to tenor. They are country but sing all genres of music. Try Helplessly Hoping, How Great Thou Art, Blue Ain’t Your Color to hear more great harmonies. Good reaction Jarvis!
aye!!!!! Thank you soooooo much im glad you enjoyed it. Yes they're all AMAZING. Got hooked from Adams's beatbox solo lol More to come. aka How Great Thou Art drops next week 😊😊😊
I just found you on reaction videos today. This video is the 4th reaction that I have watched from you. I have been listening to Home Free for a good long while now. You are, in my opinion, the best reactionist I have seen on youtube. I love that you talk about the small intricacies that I have not heard from others who do reaction videos. Being from the South, Arkansas, the sound that at the end of the video that you think was a diggery doo, type sound, is actually what is called a mouth harp. Very simple instrument. Love you appreciation of music. Keep it up, do not quit.

It's so cool that Chance chose a jaw harp (also called a mouth harp, or occasionally a Jew's harp, but not juice.😉)
@@Izabella907 it is sometimes referred to as a juice harp...just saying.
I think because of the "spit" sometimes that is produced.
@@brendagrothier967 ok
They just dropped Bruce Springsteen's Born in the USA.... Very different from this.
Sounds AMAZING!!!! WIll check it out asap!
Matthew! Appreciate your kind words truly 😊😊😊😊 And thanks for the info. They sound sooo similar 😊
Even the old mouth harp and harmonica sounds! Dang!
