My #1 favorite moment in The Orville, one that brought me to tears, has to be the ending of the episode "Home", when Alara's father apologizes for how he treated her as a child, and says "i don't know my own daughter, i never even tried to."
As someone who grew up with an abusive father, it really hit home for me. (As the title of the episode foreshadowed)

I love the fact that it's actually an allagory on today's events I the last 6 years where parents, doctors, teachers, government were forcing these surgeries onto children before they were old enough to make their own informed decision.
Topa was a great character and the divide it caused in show is exactly what's happening IRL

how about we cut the moclans out completely, that was the 1 thing about the orville that i truly hated! i actually skipped the topa episodes completely when i rewatched it. Do more yafit species type episodes
