- This video goes over the steps of enabling the Proxmox VE No-Subscription Repository, disabling the enterprise repository, and getting rid of that annoying “No valid subscription” nag box every time you login.

I did not know it was possible to configure this via the GUI. Very useful video. Many thanks :)
This is fantastic Darin. Thank you for the walkthrough on getting that nag box. 🙄

Thank you for this video it helped me alot.
Thank you!
I'm a total noob and this helped me!
Glad it helped!
Use F6 instead of Ctrl + W if it closes your tab
holy shit - THANKS!
Thanks my guy!
Thank you!!
Great tutorial, thank you!
Is that something I can also do on rented VDS with proxmox preinstalled? Or only in homelab?
great help tnx
Thanks - It worked 🙂
Glad it helped. Thank you for leaving a comment!
thank you bro
Thanks for the great video. One thing I would modify slightly for the No valid subscription. If you change Ext.Msg.show to void this appears to break some things, like the "Add" repository button. (In Proxmox 8.1.4 at least). I would instead change the if statement directly above that to be "if (false)" so it never triggers and leave the rest the same. So:
if ( false ) {
Ext.Msg.show({
...
Very good video Darin. Helped me a lot. Do you know of a way to get rid of this "The no-subscription repository is NOT production-ready" or to fix it?
thanks man
Thanks a lot for your demo. I just have a question please. How do I recover my storage. What happened is that, I ran sudo apt update and upgrade. then rebooted. when I logged back in, I was not able to access my pve storage(where my VMS are)
there is just a question mark on the storage.
Error message: TASK ERROR: unable to activate storage 'name-of-storage' - directory is expected to be a mount point but is not mounted: '/mnt/pve/name-of-storage'
I do both of these with Ansible. You should try it out, great for automating stuff like this 😊
That’s awesome! I’ll check it out
What/Where is Ansible
Followed this but it broke my Proxmox. Anyone can help me please? I get "No Proxmox VE is enabled, you do not get any updates!" AND "Some suites are misconfigured".
Works even on Proxmox Backup Server.

Thank you for your support!
Thanks it works, no more nag-box. But this does also break the "Refresh" or "update" functionality in the GUI. :( At least, when I click on "refresh", nothing happens. So, I guess it's or the nag-box or using the GUI for updates?
yea, no. still got the nag. (PVE 7.4)
and for everyone else: using F6 instead of CTRL + W works instead of closing the window!
I'm running the latest v8 and it doesn't work.
Anyone know of an identical workaround?
How does he do a "Ctrl + W" without having his tab closing?
F6
Bro is this working with latest version .. ? Tomorrow i will try
This is not the latest version but the No-subscription Repository should be in the same place on the wiki. I do not believe it changed.

Sorry for the late reply. I will try to get this created with the newest version of proxmox!
