    Terrific to see a conductor with so much gusto and obvious joy in what he is doing , like Daniel Smith, drawing us all into sharing his enthusiasm . Good on you !! Thanks.

    Guys, forgive me, but I can't understand what is the point of blaming Daniel Smith for that. I personally don't give a s**t if the conductor smiles during execution of this wonderful music. His energy, passion, LOVE for this amazing Weber's composition and, most importantly, for the hard work of each and every soloist makes this performance magnificent.

    What joy. Daniel Smith reminds me of the Royal Festival Hall concert I attendee on 29 April 1972 when Daniel Barenboim literary flew up the steps to the platform to conduct this piece. Wonderful!

    Magnifique exécution de cette société de l'interprétation de l'ouverture de ZAMPA.POUR MOI ,ancien clarinettiste,cette œuvre doit être exécutée par des(bois ') A mon avis, ce morceau à été interprété par votre société selon la partition Hérold.Maintenant, l'amateur d'ouvertures,aime ou n'aime pas..Pour ma part,je félicite tout l'orchestre et bien sûr le chef où,j'ai pu l'ecouter dans l'ouverture de la Muette de Portici.Merci d'un musicien à d'autres musiciens talentueux. I think 18 months of having no audiences might answer this - you can commune with your audience better if you can see them. Also it makes it easier for the audience to read the programme notes which can really enhance the enjoyment of the piece

    I'm sure that this is Christoph Eschenbach conducting, not Daniel Smith. He has been a favourite of mine since he performed as a wonderful pianist.
    I don't know David, but his picture on Google, dated 2012 is certainly not this conductor!

    • @archiestanton2767
      @archiestanton2767 4 роки тому

      I think it is Smith, but a bit younger with longer hair. Eschenbach doesn't look anything like this conductor. Go to danielsmithonline.com. Click videos (on the top of the page.) Scroll down a bit. The 2nd video is identical to this one.
