I just love the audi tt in general. Mark 1, Mark 2, the 4cyl and the v6. They are all so underrated, and they are all fun. They also have their good amount of aftermarket support. Affordable, eye catching, underrated, reliable and fun. Not much more you can ask for from a car.
Yes, I agree with what you said about the TT, very underrated, I used to adore my mk1 quattro roadster 225bhp, used to corner like it was on rails and was fairly fast and reliable, I still miss it 😢
I think that the mk1 TT is definitely one of the best looking cars ever, especially the roadster, i used to have a mk1 TT quattro roadster 225bhp, i still miss it, awesome motor.
I had an g60 Corrado. Until I foulded it double on a tree. Super car to drive a bit under powered but it was a beautiful car even in today's standards nothing comes close to 90s cars I had vw golf type 1 type 3 gti vr6 but the Corrado was just perfection.almost as good as my porsche 964. I miss those days man. Now im married and poor.
@@gasNmudtv That would be sweet but no, not from the factory. Many people have swapped a VR6 into the A4 but the 6 cylinder engines Audi used were all 90° V6 layouts compared to the VR6's 10.6° to 15° staggered layout.
I had a 180hp mk1 Quattro manual in this exact color! Missed it so much! These older cars have the best feel, hydraulic steering, cable operated throttle body, parking brake
@ I didn’t realize the euro cars were offered with a manual. We just got the dq250 dsg here. Odd because in the US, we only got mk4 R32s with manuals. while in Europe, both dsg and manuals were available.
@@Meatwadk6 Its probably down to culture. In Europe its quite common to drive manual. Nowdays automatic gearboxes get much more common, but its been like that for only 10 years or so. Before than it has been like 80% of manuals, maybe more. In US Automatic gearboxes were much more common since early 50th, If I understand it correctly.
This is such a strange channel cause you'd see videos with a hundred k plus views and then one with less than 10k(still a lot but not in comparison). I like it alot cause it always has the most unique cars on and isn't a copy and paste channel. I found the channel with the crazy caterham and found out I really liked it. Great video tho
From my research and people I've spoken with the 6-speed VR6 Quattro wasn't offered in the US or Canada. I've never seen one. Do you have any sources?? Would love to be proven wrong
The VR6 has been around since the early 90's my man. (B3 Passat and Corrado VR6). I think you meant to say that the 3.2L VR6 was first introduced in the Beetle RSI, MK4 R32 and later the MK1 Audi TT.
Seating position in the LHD TT's certainly way higher than the RHD. I have at least 3-4 fingers lower of a seating position on my RHD TT than on the left hand one
Ikr it's quite underrated both the mk1 and mk2. It's not even a rare car per se. It's quite affordable, but nobody knows about it, nobody buys it, so you literally never see it out on the streets.
This is a rebuilt and upgraded transmission as I mentioned. One thing I hadn't considered however was the break-in period for the clutches in the unit since it was recently built and installed. Not sure how much that played a role
I know it's a bit long but I figured this one deserved a few more details and bits of context! Enjoy :D - Marcus
Basically an R32 with a FAAAAABULOUS body

Check out the 1991 Corrado VR6. Almost 10 years older than this car
Awesome car! I drove a turbocharged one in the early days of the channel. Would love to revisit

I was not prepared for the VR6 Phaeton.
1:30 All VR6's are transverse from the factory, except for the Touareg, Phaeton, and Cayenne. The only ones I'm aware of anyway.
Yeah I mentioned the Phaeton, missed the SUVs though!
B7 a4 has a vr6 thats inline

The sound of the vr6 is so freaking addicting 🤌🏽 glad you reviewed another TT
Runs like a 4 cylinder
Use fuel like a v8 😂👌👌

That thing looks absolutely sick. Even without the extra power I would love to have something that looks that good with that sound.
I bought a 3.2 right at the beginning of this year and did a "build." Love it. The VR6 with the Scorpion exhaust sounds amazing.
Thank you to the family for sharing. 😊
Thanks for the content 👊🏾
Thanks for stopping by!
I have this exact car, even the color, but in manual. I love it to bits.
Did you start with 3.2 car and swap in the manual or a 225 car and swap the VR6?
@@Meatwadk6 I actually have an unicorn. It has been fitted with manual from factory and is VR6. I was looking for it for quite a long time.

Appreciate the support! Might be driving the Caterham kit car again soon 😎
I have this car in black without turbo and its more than capable. My 2nd mk1 . There's something about these that's intoxicating 😊. I love it
VR6 also came in the Touareg and Porsche Cayenne in 3.6 litre longitudinally mounted ;)
i think the bang for buck trim is probably the 1.8t quattro manual
The VR6 is such a good sounding engine
The early DSG isn’t an awful pairing with this turbo setup, just have to be smart with picking a gear
I always assumed these were Bettles in a bow tie. But I’ve always thought they are dope. #greatvideo
One of the first VR6 powered vehicles were the 2.8VR6 Passat as far as I remember.
The first time i heard a VR6 properly launch was insane to me.
I have an A3 3.2 VR6 (Audi MK5 R32) really awesome car!
The VR6 TT was sold with a manual 6spd. They're rare, but they did sell them in the 🇺🇸

If I didn’t have a 10,000 2.7T engine I’d VR6 swap my B5 S4 in a heartbeat
Big if😅 that engine is godly.

I always said these were baby r8's
Beautiful 🎉
I need this as my next fun car
DSG is faster than the manual gearbox. You can also get the DSG gearbox tuned
1988 VW Corrado VR6
TT mk1 will look good in 20 years time. Mk2 & 3 will never have that timeless look
nah, forza horizon one makes me think of the VW corrado cuz that's the first time I had ever heard of a VR6
I approve of this production! 👏👏👏! All future productions need to be Audi based...juss sayin...
Does audi continue to make the 5 cylinder ttrs? or is that done?
She gone man she gone…
what front bumper is that?
It’s the Vr6 bumper and 3 bar grill
Nice!! I wish it to be my daily..
I know the wheels are BBS but I couldn’t catch the model name. What are they? They would look great on my MK8 Golf R
They are BBS LM. HPA can source you a set of you need ;)
Does this have the DQ500 in it?
DQ250
Can we get wheel fitment specs?
P.S. the stock seats are height adjustable
What about VW Passat b5 with vr6 Engine ? So not all vr6 sits like that under hood . Thank You :P
That B5 Passat uses a standard 30v V6 with two banks, two cylinder heads, etc. Not a VR6.
@@RoadsUntraveled Weird, i know one guy he got vr6 big turbo in his passat b5 , possibly swap then
@@RoadsUntraveled Porsche Cayenne in had 3.2 engine too
Ah the golf 3.5 😂
Its a Golf 3 with some golf 4 parts
Porsche Cayenne
Audi Q7
VW Touareg
All of them have longitudinal VR6s
B5 Passat in Europe got a longitudinal VR5.
Only thing he has to do now is custom body work.
it doesn’t shift hard cause of age early dsg’s shifted hard from factory

Phaeton is a better sleeper 💀🫣🫡
It's a smaller Lexus SC430😏
The shape is similar for sure
And wayyyyy less reliable
selling a 2008 a3 3.2 vr6 120k

That being an automatic is abominably unfortunate
Bro just get a BMW 😂😂😂
