Absolutely fabulous! I’ve had shoulder, neck and migraine issues for several years, that in one day of exercises brought more relief than other PT, osteopath and other exercises never helped even half as much. Thank you!
There is so much clicking and popping with the scapular squeeze, to the point where I feel like it’s contributing to inflammation of the bursa. Do you feel that this one can be avoided if the rest are followed?
Great question. Yes, you can skip the scapular squeeze. Just be sure that you are doing the rest of the exercises with a neutral scapular position, not protracted (pushed forward). Gradually, try to add back in the scapular squeeze with just a small amount of retraction.
Hi, 1. Is it possible that my deltoid and my biceps became all strained and weak due to the compensation of the scapular muscles? 2. Can shaking of some scapular muscles also be a symptom of this condition you are decribing?
Yes and yes. The larger muscles of the shoulder girdle can become overused and strained as a result of compensation. And fasciculation of muscle fibers in areas of dysfunction or dyskinesis is quite common, due to neural issues, guarding or other factors.
Hi My left side scapula is not moving upward in abduction movement as much as the right one does and I also feel pinching in abduction movement. Does this exercises works for me? and how much time does it generally take to return to it's normal movement.

For best results, I recommend doing them daily. If it feels like too much (signs of inflammation, increased pain, decreased function, worse sleep, etc.) then decrease to 3x/week.
If my right shoulder is rounded forward and I can’t really feel my scapula, have a difficult time retracting it and depressing it, is that scapular dyskinesis? Or just tight/weak muscles?
That is more likely to be due to tight/weak muscles than dyskinesis. It might also involve nerve impingement. The best way to identify what is going on and to effectively address it is through individualized evaluation and treatment by a physical therapist.
Is it normal to have an uneven chest because of this? I have had this for 10+ years and my left pec is bigger than my right when I exercise. My right side has scapular dyskinesis
Yes, absolutely. Muscle imbalances develop over time (years -> decades) and it will take time after correcting the dyskinesis to rebuild the muscle tone in the shoulder girdle.
I dont think scapula squeeze is a good exercise for scapula dyskinesis. It over work rhomboids muscle which downly rotate shoulder blades which of course can restrict upward rotation and scapulathoracic rythm. Those muscle need to calm down. I personally would chose shoulder flexion with protraction to put more stress on serratus anterior, after maxiaml shoulder flexion upper and lower trapezius is helping with the movement. Also wall slides would be good, and over head head shrugs

Can we do it for long thoraic nerve palsy?
Thank you!

Yes, these exercises are likely to be helpful for you. Recovery time depends on many factors, generally about 4-8 weeks.
I have frozen shoulder, any way I can correct the shoulder hiking I experience? If I lift my arm above my head, I get neck pain and headaches.

How often would you recommend doing these? Everyday or 3 times a week?

Why people don’t Diagnose it
No pain whatsoever but left shoulder blade is winging after ac joint blast
