One of the finer aspects of True Friendship is the wonderful idea that True Friends often feel more like family than those who are blood related. We don't choose family, but we choose our friends.
I think we can say it's a combination of the two. Being part of True Friendship will indeed give you resilience, but you have to do your part in the relationship to experience this benefit.
It's an accomplishment because when you are part of True Friendship it means you are worth knowing and being with. It shows that someone values you and you know how to show commitment and everything else that goes with friendship. That's a real accomplishment.

There are many aspects to finding purpose, but certainly, this is a big part of it.
